I would happily ban pavement parking as my husband’s a wheelchair user and it’s so difficult if I can’t get past and have to go into the road! It’s heavy and not easy to manoeuvre especially if there’s no dipped kerb. Life’s difficult enough without selfish motorists - not having a dig at you just having a difficult day and it resonated with me. Love your channel. xx

People have become far less patient and far more unconscious and intolerant of others since 2020. It’s as though everyone used up their personal quotas of social understanding and empathy in 2020/2021 and the new “stock” never arrived. On a happier note: your garden looks lovely, like an oasis. I don't think I've seen a silent garden tour before, although I know what you mean with people who live nearby, they would think your talking to yourself. I must drive my neighbours potty as I'm always talking to my cats, during the summer months. Your crunchy grass sounds made me laugh 😂 aha! Well at least you had a natter with your neighbour, as mine isn't too pleased with me at the moment. I got told off for feeding seagulls the other day, which I know I shouldn't do, these two gulls used to land on my back wall about tea time, first one would come, then his mate, and they make such a strange noise, I did think there was something the matter with them, and that's when I began to give them bits of food waste. So I'm not going to do that anymore, because the other ones are appearing out of nowhere, with that ear piercing sound, I can understand my neighbour's being fed up. But these same two have been coming every summer, now suddenly lots more are coming 😢

Oh my goodness Linda, when you mentioned the password book and the burglars I literally burst out laughing. We have the very same book and the very same problem! And when you spoke about Americanisms creeping into our everyday English language I just punched the air and cried "YES"!!! At which point my husband started laughing too. We are forever going on about it! You will never ever find me calling people "Guys" or children "kids", calling someone "buddy" or "dude" or referring to trousers as "pants'...I heard a British woman referring to her new pair of pants the other day and all I could do was imagine her in her husband's Y-fronts. 🤣It also annoys me when British authors use American terms for lifts, pavements, flats, and all the other terms that drive me crackers. It's almost as if they think American people are too stupid (which they're not!) to know what the Authors are talking about without it being a term they're familiar with.🙄 I think it's patronising in the extreme and gets on my pip. American people like the British accent so why oh why are so many people adopting an American accent? O I loved this video😂. The respect of life has gone & yes "service" has disappeared. Bbc 3 & 4 & itv 2, 3 & 4 came into being for exactly this sporting situation. They need to move the matches! When I was @ junior school i got several end of years prizes for courtesy. Yes "be kind" does my head in too. It seems that peoples idea of "kind" has changed now! Ive been beaten off our local group with trolling twice due to this attitude. O wonderful to play to the commenter 😂😂. I love your garden. We had one 5 or 6 times that size but just as beautiful before we moved! We wanted an easier lifestyle so we cut out most of the gardening - but for a house 3 times the size! What a mistake😢 I always used to pick some stems from my lavatera and put in a vase they are so lovely. Thank you. Looking forward to your next one! PS i cut those little ribbons out & use them to decorate my hand made cards or tie my hand made bracelets into bunches to 3. Not rubbing you face in it though. I am one of them football fans, but i have my own little TV so hubbie can watch the main tv. I hate the kids today that will not give up they seats on the bus for older people. Me and my son (37) where on a bus a few weeks ago and it was full and an old woman got on and none of the kids got up so my son did and she said to me that he was very kind not knowing he was my son so I said that was the way I had bought him up and she said is he yours and said yes and she said it was nice to meet someone that had bought their child up well ❤❤

I definitely agree about passwords omg drives me nuts. What really gets me mad is workmen, say you’re looking for a decorator or plumber etc we have a magazine put through the door called The Trader every 3 months . You’d look someone up they say no job to small free quotes , special rates for OAP’s so you leave a message normally on their voicemail or answering machine and they never get back to you. You think why pay to advertise as it’s not free, then don’t respond to people it really gets me going then I turn into the female Victor Meldrew 🤦♀️. Your garden is looking great . X

I loved this video, I could have a really long list! I hate the Americanisms of closet for wardrobe and pants for trousers, so many RUclipsrs do this, I tend not to watch them now, also you guys. Your garden is looking like a tropical paradise it’s absolutely lovely. Amusing to hear over your lifes gripes, I agree with them all. Why has life been made so complicated take car parks…why do so many ask for a complicated payment system with cards or apps I don’t have? If you’ve tried parking on a sea front recently you will know what I mean we stand there looking vacant until a 20 year old passes and sorts us out. Where have all the ticket machines gone, drives me mad!😡 xx

Passwords are a nightmare, even i have a little book that has a combination lock though,but goes everywhere I go,but i cant remember hundreds of passwords either..i got a takeaway from a well known app & was shocked to find it stored my card,very naughty of them i never knew this & they didn't ask so i took it off,they shouldn't do this without permission..when i passed my driving test in the 90s it was illegal to park on the pavement so why do people still do it,but yes people need to be mindful..I think England is getting very Americanised i do notice words changing but im old skool im not changing the way i say anything..manners seem to be a thing from the past nowadays,not much of it about which is sad.Happily my 3 grandsons were brought up with manners i taught my daughter in the 80s,so i am proud of that😊If anyone treats me unkind, i treat them the same then im gone lol..Its not sad linda to have tv on in background,i do it too, can't stand the silence since im on my own,its very comforting i think.im not on community groups so cant comment on that one but you do have a beautiful garden.. lovely video thanks linda😊👍🏻💕

I've never heard you complain..... that's why most of us love you so much..... 😄👍 Most of the time I think I'd be better to throw myself into room 101 and leave everything else out here as most of it is flipping horrible. But short of doing that, all of your list, plus: Thin vain know-it-all panelists discussing the 'problems' of the obese and what we fatties should be doing about it. People who say 'should of' instead of 'should have', etc. People who say 'the proof's in the pudding'. No it's NOT, it's in the eating!!' Mums who ignore their babies in public, in favour of browsing their smart phones. Noisy leaf blowers plus boy racers on motorbikes/fast cars and their thinking we're impressed by all that revving and racing. Catastrophising in media reporting. All that 'disaster dahling' about everything from a broken fingernail up. Like you I could go on... and on.... and on...... But enough already... it's so depressing. Hi Linda I'm glad I wasn't 70 in the 60s when all women donned the same thinking once 60 a hair net long skirt cross over pinny and the shoes that laced up with a little heel when we had go wear masks when covid was about did you notice we couldn't smile at anyone and now if I smile at someone they look at me funny it's like the art of smiling has gone and well if a baby in a pram says hi I always shout hi back at the mum looks at me like I'm going to steal her baby no thank you I'm passed all that I'm 70 my son is 52 and grandkids 28 24 this year and 20 last march .so my baby days are well and truly over .I go away on my own my hubby in a care home with parkinsons and mental health problems and whrn I go away some people say to me are you on your own I feel like saying well j must be nobody is with me and they say your brave what's brave about going away on my own a good book I can do what I want and when j want sheer heaven love fran xxxx

Linda I couldn't agree more about all the American sayings everyone uses, I've nothing at all against America or Americans but why do we have to be so impressed with the type of phrases they use to the extent that we think we will use them too, can't we stick to our own for God's sake. Main ones that irritate me at the moment are You Guys, saying you need the bathroom instead of toilet or loo, saying can I get instead of can I have, people saying can I give you a heads up what the h ell is that supposed to mean and let's not forget one of the worst being bang out of order, all originate from over the pond and all so irritating!!.

Manners in general are my pet peeve 😡😡Good manners cost NOTHING, I tend to open doors for people a lot , and let people out of side roads ( when I’m driving ) very rare to get an acknowledgement ! Yet I still continue to do it 🤷♀️ With manners, it’s upbringing I think, but I LIKE to be polite 😇
Something else that grinds my gears, calling people “guys”, and yes, I know older people do this , so please don’t take offence if anybody happens to read this , and uses this word😬😱 each to their own 😈😈😂

Your garden is looking like a tropical paradise it’s absolutely lovely. Amusing to hear over your lifes gripes, I agree with them all. Why has life been made so complicated take car parks…why do so many ask for a complicated payment system with cards or apps I don’t have? If you’ve tried parking on a sea front recently you will know what I mean we stand there looking vacant until a 20 year old passes and sorts us out. Where have all the ticket machines gone, drives me mad!😡 xx

Passwords are a nightmare, even i have a little book that has a combination lock though,but goes everywhere I go,but i cant remember hundreds of passwords either..i got a takeaway from a well known app & was shocked to find it stored my card,very naughty of them i never knew this & they didn't ask so i took it off,they shouldn't do this without permission..when i passed my driving test in the 90s it was illegal to park on the pavement so why do people still do it,but yes people need to be mindful..I think England is getting very Americanised i do notice words changing but im old skool im not changing the way i say anything..manners seem to be a thing from the past nowadays,not much of it about which is sad.Happily my 3 grandsons were brought up with manners i taught my daughter in the 80s,so i am proud of that😊If anyone treats me unkind, i treat them the same then im gone lol..Its not sad linda to have tv on in background,i do it too, can't stand the silence since im on my own,its very comforting i think.im not on community groups so cant comment on that one but you do have a beautiful garden.. lovely video thanks linda😊👍🏻💕

Noooo Linda... I've never heard you complain..... that's why most of us love you so much..... 😄👍 Most of the time I think I'd be better to throw myself into room 101 and leave everything else out here as most of it is flipping horrible. But short of doing that, all of your list, plus: Thin vain know-it-all panelists discussing the 'problems' of the obese and what we fatties should be doing about it. People who say 'should of' instead of 'should have', etc. People who say 'the proof's in the pudding'. No it's NOT, it's in the eating!!' Mums who ignore their babies in public, in favour of browsing their smart phones. Noisy leaf blowers plus boy racers on motorbikes/fast cars and their thinking we're impressed by all that revving and racing. Catastrophising in media reporting. All that 'disaster dahling' about everything from a broken fingernail up. Like you I could go on... and on.... and on...... But enough already... it's so depressing. This was a terrific opportunity to vent. Thank you! PS.. love your garden. An oasis of peace and prettiness!

My hubby is just like you where passwords concerned , can never remember them or get them to work . I tried Password Manager but it was flipping useless and didn’t save his passwords 🤷🏻♀️‼️. I’m a stickler for good manners too , woe betide my grandkids if they forget a please or a thank you . I don’t think you are a moaning Minnie at all Linda , you have standards , good for you 💐

Hi Linda I'm glad I wasn't 70 in the 60s when all women donned the same thinking once 60 a hair net long skirt cross over pinny and the shoes that laced up with a little heel when we had go wear masks when covid was about did you notice we couldn't smile at anyone and now if I smile at someone they look at me funny it's like the art of smiling has gone and well if a baby in a pram says hi I always shout hi back at the mum looks at me like I'm going to steal her baby no thank you I'm passed all that I'm 70 my son is 52 and grandkids 28 24 this year and 20 last march .so my baby days are well and truly over .I go away on my own my hubby in a care home with parkinsons and mental health problems and whrn I go away some people say to me are you on your own I feel like saying well j must be nobody is with me and they say your brave what's brave about going away on my own a good book I can do what I want and when j want sheer heaven love fran xxxx

Linda I couldn't agree more about all the American sayings everyone uses, I've nothing at all against America or Americans but why do we have to be so impressed with the type of phrases they use to the extent that we think we will use them too, can't we stick to our own for God's sake. Main ones that irritate me at the moment are You Guys, saying you need the bathroom instead of toilet or loo, saying can I get instead of can I have, people saying can I give you a heads up what the h ell is that supposed to mean and let's not forget one of the worst being bang out of order, all originate from over the pond and all so irritating!!.
