First, cardi is gorgeous, colour suits you. When can I come for the bbq? Current husband is a keeper! I've got brave only in the last few months, I would have suggested to the manager that the waitress needed further training, she should have been more polite. Garden is super, big job, we have containers only in a courtyard and find that's enough for us, future proofing😂 We've very cheeky hooded crows who wreck our bird feeders, so much so that we have to bring the feeders in at night. Live in Wicklow by the sea on East Coast Ireland. Love your acers, and can visualise in a few wks that it will all be so colourful! Dashing out to buy lights, they make it so atmospheric! Lavender, cosmos, hostas, hydrangeas, fuschias and montbretias all grow well here for us. Canopy is super x
Linda you and your family have worked wonders, your garden looks so nice thankyou for sharing. You have given me lots of ideas as our back garden gets the full beaming sunshine in the afternoon it can be stifling so the canopy would be perfect. ❤ your dogs seem very well behaved too. Your garden is lovely, the whole look is great, very relaxing and inviting and magical when lit up, I seem to have no luck with solar lights, people have them for years, I don't even get a season out of them, don't think I do anything wrong with them cos you just put them up and then leave them well alone, might have to go down the plug in route. Hi Linda well that's a great make over Looks really cosy and lovely We have the artificial grass and no flowers are strubs Just grass I have got artificial flowers everything's false 😂😂 And the fronts flags for the cars I have very bad hay fever I used love my garden Low maintenance now which is good other half has bad arthritis Not nice getting old But I love looking at lovely gardens ❤❤

It’s such a pretty garden, lovely to relax in now all the hard work done! The canopy such a good idea those gazebo’s just fall down, we built a wooden pagola a few years ago and it’s so better than a gazebo which always ended in next doors garden 😂x

We are getting older and I cannot do the garden and my husband had a small hart attack three years ago. And our back garden is very big so we only have grass down and some trees that don't need much looking after. Hubby does the cutting with a strimmer and takes two days. As the house is council we can only do so much to the garden. Loved what you did, we do have garden waste bin but if you want it emptied you have to pay £37.50 a year and that gets you 17 collections I live in Sunderland
That's really interesting, Susan and I'm sorry to hear about your husband. Our council charges £60 a year for the garden bin collection. It's collected every two weeks and we live in Hertfordshire so not too far from London. Thanks for your comment x
You have your garden ready and can now relax and enjoy. It is a lovely space by day and looks really special by night. We love to just relax and have a few drinks - when the weather allows. I used to have an enormous garden but to be honest it hardly gave us time to enjoy it as it was hard work. Now, with a space probably similar to yours, I feel very happy and have made it an extension of the house. Just as you have. Sit back and enjoy!xx Luz
Hi Linda Great makeover Looks lovely especially at night with all the lights. Current husband did a great job with the bbq looked delicious. We moved 6 months ago to a ground floor apartment. We do have a patio, and there is a wrap around garden between the 4 flats in are block it’s very secluded around the back so we can do a bbq around there, but flats do have rules so no washing line, hanging baskets, or lights that attach to walls ,fences etc 😢 . We have got a few pots so might get a few battery ones and put them in there with the plants. We are not into doing the garden so don’t miss that part at all. X

Hi Tina, I'm glad you like the garden! I wouldn't say the Acers have grown quickly... the red tree must have been in for over 15/16 years and the small green one for over 10. They were tiny when we planted them! x
Well done. Garden looks great. Love the canopy. Does it make the room dark? I’m with a friend today. Between us we’ve had 6 husbands. I like the idea of calling our current ones by that name. My first husband and I always stayed friends. Including with my next two husbands. Sadly he died in November. No 2 also died, but while we were married. No 3 is hanging onto life at present. I must be a sucker for punishment. At 79 I’m finding doing the garden hard work. I usually set myself a target of 10 -15 mins each day. That way I can recover easily. X❤
