fuel pressure issue resolved - always double check your work!
Ok so if you have that ticking fuel presure issue i demonstrated in my previous video please check your send and return lines I had followed them back to the gas tank and back near the axle they crossover each other and I got them mixed up - good idea to label them with some tape of paint mark etc (which i did)
Once I switched the lines around to the correct position the regulator is working perfectly no clicking sound and fuel pressure is set and holding steady at 6psi - good starting area for carburetor application.

closer look at where the milled intake was leaking

better view of how much was milled off the lower part of the intake, the water outlet gasket sealing area and the corrective plate I made to fix the water leak. Glad I was able to fix it but just want to point out a precaution when you have to get your intake milled to make the cylinder head to intake manifold ports align
Something to watch out for when milling your intake manifold!

Ok so after 3 times sneaking up on the port alignment on this intake now we have a small issue at the water outlet where the milling cut away some of the area where the outlet seals, I made a steel plate to sandwich between the manifold and water neck to provide additional sealing area

After close to 100 or so square body builds and the majority being carbureted the simplest, in my opinion, choice has been the in tank TBI fuel pump. It lives a long time and doesn't hurt the wallet. The Walbro unit works great. I use return style regulators from Holley or Aeromotive at 5psi or higher. Below that pressure I use a pump dedicated for low pressure use and run it dead-head. The high output of an EFI pump is hard to return down to a pressure that low. The size of the return line would need to be larger than the feed line. At normal operation, 60% of the pumps output is already being returned and at nearly 90% of the return line's capability. There may be a regulator out there that can return down to that pressure, but it wouldn't be my first choice.

Once someone is initiated past that level and ready to get serious....spherical ends are the best ends for upgrading to a serious purposed suspension. No deflection and they will still allow a solid rear axle to articulate when needed. Delrin bushings are amazing but have their place. They only want to move on one axis. @ 0:55 if you ever have another block done, have the oil gallery plug at the rear of the lifter valley installed upside down. So with the dome upwards. If you get the chance take a look at the oil passages under it. Also, Lokar makes dipstick and tube assembly that can be fitted to either the OEM block port or a 1/4" npt port in a pan. It's flexible, length adjustable, and locks in place. @@vrm86gt he asked me, "wtf took you so long to see that?" He explained that a stock rebuild in your wife's grocery getter won't care, but when you're twisting the screws with thousands of aftermarket dollar bills you want more oil through there. Especially with hydraulic roller applications. Just flip it over and drive her home.
