cheap eBay steering wheel hub / quick release, don't waste your time or money!

I knew I was gambling with these cheap eBay Kyostar hub and VMS racing quick release, I don't recommend either, neither one work well or at all with out modification.
I got them to work but should have spent the money on better parts that actually fit correctly. I will replace both at a latter date and they will both go in the trash!

Sorry that you had to modify a product you bought to fit! That sucks when that happens! I hear that NRG Hubs work well… Awesome job on the valve covers!

hope you get that all fixed soon .... thats why I keep mine a Street Car ... can go for a Ride whenever i want to...not that fast but makes me happy to drive it.. and no big Issues so far ....

You are smarter than I, California makes it extremely difficult to keep these old cars legal to drive, lot's of restricitions on antique plates etc too

Ok I’ve became an expert on steering wheel hubs of late. 🤣 If you look at the stock wheels shaft hole the front has 2 flat spots. BUT, BUT only halfway down. You look at the back side of it, it’s not. All the after market hubs have the 2 flat spot all the way through. On the column you’ll see the shaft with the two flat spots, and then a slightly bigger shaft the hub needs to fit over. So drill out the back side about half way down.
