- our closest track down in Lodi, Ca had a schedule change and are racing this weekend so I can make it!
getting the car ready and going the intake needed to be retorqued all else looking good!
will post from the track this weekend if all goes well!

thank you OG! yeah it looks like we are dipping back into the 60's next week but this weekend looks great weather-wise, should be sunny and 80-ish at the track tomorrow!
the quick release will help a ton!!! I had problems getting in and out of my foxbody because the after market seat bracket would not go back far enough. The quick release made a night and day difference.

I installed a removable steering wheel, to be honest, I never take it off, Hope all is well, and plans working out on the carb change.
Thanks Tim! yeah my steering wheel is definitely in the way, well the door bar is what really in the way and that was my fault for intalling it too high!

You won't regret the carb and a single plain , simplify everything and make more power on top of that with the cold fuel /air intake charge you get. I love my vic Jr carb setup but I think the trickflow single plane makes a little more power in stock form vs a stock vic jr that's why I ported mine
yeah thats the one I'm looking at, looking around for used stuff also but not in a huge rush since its race season and car is running good as is.

@@vrm86gt yeah I should be bringing it back very soon, had some birds build a nest on my slicks and wife wouldn't let me move them so now they are gone so gotta see why my brakes are pulling hard right fix that then off to the track I go

Sounds like a dropped cylinder can b from rich conditions
I can't find anything not firing but a little rough idle when cold, hoping reqtoquing the intake will help, glad I checked it anyways!
@@vrm86gt I do alot of tuning and idle misfire happens when my idle tune was rich 13.0 or 12.9 hot, but im sure u never tuned cold start enrichment,there's startup enrichment, then decay by time for hot, and decay by temp for cold

thank you! trying to beat 6.86! I think we can do it although the weather won't be as good as our last pass here Jan 1 2024.
