Was looking to buy a new e-bike due to my Sudoo e-bikes back motor not responding after only 2 months of riding. So looking at this make on ebay. Not sure it’s the exact same spec as the one your riding but was looking for a bike with more power/speed these DUOTT ones seem to be the ones for the extra power for a reasonable price, paid more for basic/cheap/powerless/slow ones, so your review was very helpful.
@janosbakos4078 yeah the bike good .. could do with handle bar risers in my opinion but that's just me...I like to sit more upright
Are you happy with the Ebike? I'm thinking about getting the RV700.
@barrymichaels2663 yes still going strong.. great bike.. rv 700 is also a great bike..
Hi Terry. Sounds like it wasn't too bad...and not too expensive to fix. Hope you got it sorted ok. Hope all is well. Cheers pal
can you give it to me it will really help me to commute to collage and you would make a 17 year old really happy
@anuneu4722 I wish I could afford to give it away, but I can't sorry mate but worth a try .you might get lucky one day keep asking..
Fantastic! I am in perth west aust. Few weeks ago people down sth saw the aurora. Not common so a buzz for them. Yet to see the lights myself. :( one day i hope.
It's a beautiful site.. this is the first time I've seen them.
Nice one, glad you cooked the mushrooms first. If you put them in a dry pan first that helps with the excess liquid to dry out then put your oil in. I keep bidding on eBay for one, so hopefully I will be trying one out soon. Your omelet looked yummy by the way 😊
Thanks very much .yeah there great little things to have and the omelette was nice.
Does the earth bar need earthing to the cassis of the van?
You can do that .
I've just ordered one, roll on the good weather 😁👍
Brilliant you will love it
Did your insurance go up or down after the paint job?
Never told them...sold it now
Thanks very much. That's the most accurate way to check. I see a lot of videos using the calculation method, and using the pump pulse frequency and volume, but that's assuming the pump volume delivery and frequency are exact. Nothing beats a fixed volume of fuel and seeing how long it lasts, for accuracy.
I totally agree .thanks
Hi How is it to ride unassisted. I mainly want a bike like this to help with hills on long rides. So i mainly ride unassisted. I wonder with the weight and tyre size whether it would be very difficult to pedal under your own steam?
Almost impossible. It's far to heavy... maybe for a short while on the flat but it's hard work
Whats the fastest you got the bike to go?
ive done 34 mph on it once but i.m a chubby bloke so i think 35 plus for a 14 /15 stone man is easy . i get 30 mph every time on a flat.
Hello. I'm 6 ft 2 and 110 kilos. I live in a very hilly area, so the dual motors make sense to me. I also have access to a long beach. would this bike suit someone my size? Great video by the way.
Yes it will pull you easy . You will be shocked on how powerful it is
Its just ugly .!..other than that a good bike for the money 😊👍
For me this bike looks just fine
Nice review mate, I've been looking for a cheap ebike that I can use for wildcamping and it looks like it'll fit the bill, be interested to see what range you get. I lived over the road from Newham Grange Park, new sub here, always happy to support a fellow tuber from Stockton 👍👌
Hi Mike. I don't know the range yet but it has a 15amp hour battery so it should be good ...I will do a range test on it soon and upload it .. A.t.b. Terry
Awesome capture.❤
cheers ..its cool to see .
I jut took photos lat night Tony. Thanks for this great tip
yeah just set your gopro on night lapse ,one shot every 10 seconds .Or any camera on one shot every 10 seconds..Terry ...
@@VANFLIPPINGTASTIC when did you change your name 🤣🤣🤣🤣
@@randomtherapy about ten minutes ago ..sorry for not telling you .😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁
I have this Gen2 bike and driven ~235km by now. 2 major flaws with this bike. No.1 is that the breaks are super bad, like literally rubbish. Changed the break pads for a better one but still quite bad. I think that im gonna replace the whole breaking system including the disk breaks. No.2 is that the left crank arm is loose. Every time I go for a ride the left crank arm gets loose. I tighten it with my 8mm hex wrench and it stays for a little time and then it gets loose again. I think that I need to replace the crank arm or the whole bottom bracket assembly.
The breaks aren't the best .the rear break is ok but I,m changing the front for a hydraulic break. Have you tried a bit of lock tight on the crank when you tighten it..
@@VANFLIPPINGTASTIC The rear is little bit better then the front but yeah needs a better one for sure. I have tried multiple times to add lock tight, it doesn't make any difference. It's still gets loose after few minutes of riding. I believe the problem is that the crank arm square taper is made of soft aluminium and when it gets loose from pedaling. It will round out it and while pedaling the square is getting more and more rounder.
Great review BTW! One question that I got for you, is it true that even when you slightly pedal, motor gives you full power? I've heard that issue with this bike from many people but because this is the revamped version I have to see if this is still an ongoing issue. There are a few people who said that they cannot operate it while being in heavy crowded places because of this max power output even on lvl 1 assist.
It seem to be very powerfull on lvl one .it seem to use a lot of power and gets straight to 13 mph. It's better to use the throttle when in busy areas..
Thank you for your answer!! So it does give the max power and it recognise as limit, the max kilometers per assist level. Is it possible to negate the pedal assist (working as a normal mechanical bike) and only use it with the throttle?
@@panoskasionis541 yes in the settings you can have 3 settings 1= pedel assist only 2=throttle only and 3= both together
it doesn't have a torque sensor, as bikes in this price range usually don't.
@vicestyle your dead right mate ...
On the pump is written the dose most are 0.020ml per click. On the display is the frequency of the pump on the setting you are using. Eg 3hz x 0.02ml = 0.06ml/sec x 60 = 3.6ml/min x 60 = 216ml/hr. It's simple maths and the most accurate.
Yes you are correct.. its simple maths ... cheers...
Great to see a review from a big guy. How tall are you if you dont mind me asking? I am 6.2, and most bikes are too small.
Unfortunately I am wider than I am tall... I. Only 5 foot 9 inches. But my son is 6 foot 2 inches and its perfect for him..
@@VANFLIPPINGTASTIC I am wide and tall 😂. Thanks mate
Great review. Thanks
@@marksellers665 thanks 😊
Hey hey! What grit paper did you use, can you use an eletric sander??
The finest grit I could find.. for most of the van I just used a green kitchen sponge just to take the shine from the white paint ...no need to go daft on it ...just take the shine off
Thank you so much for promoting our brand. Can we work with you? Can you leave your contact information?
yes you can contact me on my email address at VANFLIPPINGTASTIC@GMAIL.COM
Yes your dead right .I discovered this after posting the video..😊.
You don't need to turn it on and off at the end. Once you click "i" to lock it in, you just hold down the "i" and it will reset and save your changes. That way u don't have to re-enter your pass code which is located on P08. I always disarm the throttle when I lock up my bike. I also drop from max top.speed to.minimum on P03 as an additional measure. That way I have a pass code and a thief can't make it work, even if they bring their own battery. If they somehow manage to get past your passcod3, the throttle won't work and the max speed it will trave is 1 kmh/mph. That's all in addition to the locks I use.
Great Video fella looks a good bit of kit
Yeah it's a cool drone ... god knows how it didn't crash
Very cool little drone!
its really good , flys itself
That’s a tidy piece of kit Terry. I like it 👍🏻
yeah its really cool . i love my gadgets ..
Thank you for your review having now watched this I am buying the same bike myself today I'm a big guy and watching you ride shows it working very well very simply I enjoy watching cheers buddy
Good choice mate ..I even have my son sat on the crossbar with me and it still pulls like a train..Will pull 30 stone with no problem at all... let me know what you think when it comes... By the way I've just got a smaller ebike today 750 watts so look out for that video in the next few days .
Do you need notify DVLC if you change the colour.
Yes you do, and it's free to do it..
Hi mate are the fiat scudo vans reliable in automatic ? Seen a lovely one for sale in silver that ive got my eye on
Hi mate .. I've had no problems whatsoever with mine but it's a manual... not sure about the Autos to be honest....
Thanks very much😅
He said get that camera off so he can open a can of whoop ass
That is the best title to a video this year!! Proper class!😂❤
Agreed! 😂
Is it a normal fridge mate?
Yeah just a bog standard small fridge
Brill mate how big was the inverter
@@Jonbuildz it's just a 1200 watt...
My diesel heater looks exactly like yours. But on my manual it tells u to only put it on Alpine mode in high altitudes so i was scared to put in on that one all the time. But even on lowest settings in my van i have to keep turning it off as even though i have set at 15. It just keeps rising then gets stuffy. So just put it on Alpine mode like u said, and its much better. So couldn't under stand why manual said use alpine mode spareingly. I just didn't want to damage it.
Yes it's ment for higher altitudes, I think is put in more or less air into the chamber, I'm not sure .. I've done it for years with no problems...I just blast it on high when I first start mine for a few minutes to burn any excess soot from the previous day.. If mine broke down tomorrow I've had a good run , but still going strong..I can't see what can go wrong it's only a furnace chamber, and it's not as hot on Alpine mode ..
Thanks for your reply. Every time i switch mine on it goes full blast for around 3 mins. Then it goes down to the lowest settings that i have left it on. So thats a good thing as it must be automatically programed to burn of sut. But like i said even on lowest settings its still to hot in our van. So hopefully if could use Alpine mode it would keep it at a moderate heat for longer. Otherwise i am tuning on and of all the time.
@kathlancaster same here my van is Tiny... that's why I only use alpine....
thanks for the info. I want to do a permanent mains powered setup with enogh battery for 24 hours in case of power cut. The power drop should set off the automatic shutdown sequence of the heater in case the power runs out completely. I want minimal effort, but I will make a nice neat setup. Can you recommend a suitable battery and charger combination? Or maybe an off the shelf UPS unit? I live in New Zealand.
i only use a 95 amp hour 12v battery and a mains powered trickle charger , seems to work fine ,i have the trickle charger on all the time .if i lose power the battery will last quite a while before going flat. the battery seems to stay 100 % or near to 100 % all the time. i think my charger is only a small 2 amp output as well
@@VANFLIPPINGTASTIC Hi, thanks for the quick reply. By 'quite a long time' are we talking 6 hours? 24/48 hrs? I want to do a setup that lasts 24 hrs in case of power cut. with a suitable battery / charger combination that will not overcharge/kill the battery and last for several years.
@johnwinder2462 once running the heater will run over 50 hours no problem, on 100 amp battery. Without harm to battery..
Wouldn't your tests depend on how cold it is outside? Eg, 5c or -5c? This would factor into how hard the heater is working at the setting?
Makes no difference. If it is on low it stays on continuous low no matter the temp outside. It would be different if you set it to follow the temperature through a thermostat...
@@VANFLIPPINGTASTIC ok
Mines on alpine mode now ure videos are first class. Thank You
thanks very much ....😀😀😀😀
Thanks...
Love the "oh bollox" comment when leaving the cover off while testing 😆😆 Thanks for the great video mate
Ha ha cheers mate ... I try not to swear, but bollacks to it..
wheres best to buy this in uk
Ebay is good ..your protected with PayPal payments..takes about 10 days to come...
just bought mine cant wait till it comes
@thomasmckechnie3907 brilliant.. let me know what you think.... its a beast in duel motor mode...
@@VANFLIPPINGTASTIC any idea what battery cost for new one
@thomasmckechnie3907 yeah around 300 quid...
What inverter do you have? I’m going to plug my inverter to the 240 then all the van sockets to the inverter. When I’m hooked up the inverter will auto switch to the hook up power.
I used a Bestek 1200. Watt inverter.. it was enough for me
Now that it's been a year have there been any issue with running it sideways?
No it's working perfectly fine ..still going strong.. it will only work on this side though ...
excellent. That’s what I’ve read but have yet to see anyone do it for any length of time. Thanks
Excellent. Thank you for the basic no nonsense test
Cheers ...
Where do you get one of these bikes from good video by the way?
There's a few good sellers on ebay..and your protected when buying from there..
Hi there I don’t suppose you’ve had any issues with the battery rattling from the locking pin have you ? Mine is rattling around and can hear It a lot when riding over any bumps ect
No mate no problem at all ,in fact I have never locked it in ,I just slide it in place and don't lock it...
Can’t it fall off then ?
@RichardAucamp-qf1zn No it's been fine and I've been off road with it...I've never locked it on..
I love my mg740. Ive racked up over a 1000 miles on mine. Remeber this test was also done in cold temperatures. I would easily add another 10 miles on during warmer weather
I will do it again in the summer...mind you I was using duel motor most of the time and the throttle ,so wasn't bad..
All of the control units are different event if you order 2 at the same time all the settings are different and never of them have the same settings and I cant get ever of them into alpine mode
Your right ,all different... I haven't ever got the other controller, so I don't know how they work...
@@VANFLIPPINGTASTIC ok mate thanks for getting back to me much appreciated
Hi mate, wow great trip out so good just to get out and about and appreciate the country, I’ve racked up 480 miles since I got my MG 740 mid November 2023 usually out 2/3 times a week weather permitting. As a disabled older person still recovering from an accident this bike is my favourite of the 3 e-bikes I have, it is allowing me to progressively get my lower limbs “working” again, it’s early days yet but I notice small improvements let alone what it’s doing for my mental health 😀 after my accident years ago and 3 years not able to walk at all my last few years of ebiking have been been life changing and this bike especially I consider to be my therapy bike (health improvement with a dose of fun) unfortunately there is a lot of bad press and lack of understanding for these types of ebike for the cough cough larger older and disabled rider, I’m no invincible younger person riding around like an idiot scaring and or injuring people this is a means to an end to reverse damage done by an inconsiderate car driver and have a better quality of life again. Ride safe everyone 🖖
Fantastic mate, it's great to get out on the bike.i must admit I am a fair weather type guy..I also have had my fair share of motor bikes from the R1 to the Pan European, I will put more ebike videos on as soon as the weather gets better ..cheers and all the best Terry...
