Hi mate, wow great trip out so good just to get out and about and appreciate the country, I’ve racked up 480 miles since I got my MG 740 mid November 2023 usually out 2/3 times a week weather permitting. As a disabled older person still recovering from an accident this bike is my favourite of the 3 e-bikes I have, it is allowing me to progressively get my lower limbs “working” again, it’s early days yet but I notice small improvements let alone what it’s doing for my mental health 😀 after my accident years ago and 3 years not able to walk at all my last few years of ebiking have been been life changing and this bike especially I consider to be my therapy bike (health improvement with a dose of fun) unfortunately there is a lot of bad press and lack of understanding for these types of ebike for the cough cough larger older and disabled rider, I’m no invincible younger person riding around like an idiot scaring and or injuring people this is a means to an end to reverse damage done by an inconsiderate car driver and have a better quality of life again. Ride safe everyone 🖖
Fantastic mate, it's great to get out on the bike.i must admit I am a fair weather type guy..I also have had my fair share of motor bikes from the R1 to the Pan European, I will put more ebike videos on as soon as the weather gets better ..cheers and all the best Terry...
I love my mg740. Ive racked up over a 1000 miles on mine. Remeber this test was also done in cold temperatures. I would easily add another 10 miles on during warmer weather
I will do it again in the summer...mind you I was using duel motor most of the time and the throttle ,so wasn't bad..
I've just ordered one, roll on the good weather 😁👍
Brilliant you will love it
I've bought this bike and love it so much! do you have any advice on what battery to buy as a spare to use when the first is juiced?
Hello. I'm 6 ft 2 and 110 kilos. I live in a very hilly area, so the dual motors make sense to me. I also have access to a long beach. would this bike suit someone my size?
Great video by the way.
Yes it will pull you easy . You will be shocked on how powerful it is
Hi
How is it to ride unassisted.
I mainly want a bike like this to help with hills on long rides.
So i mainly ride unassisted. I wonder with the weight and tyre size whether it would be very difficult to pedal under your own steam?
Almost impossible. It's far to heavy... maybe for a short while on the flat but it's hard work
really enjoyed this one, thanks
That's great .. thanks for the comment and thanks for watching...
Hi there
Where did you get the blue bar thing on the handlebars please and the camera
Going to order the mg740 plus this week
Just type into ebay " handlebar extention " and there's loads..around 5 or 6 pound ...
The camera is a gopro 7. Quite cheap 2nd hand
Thank you
And the go pro 7 just clips onto the handle bars ?
@RichardAucamp-qf1zn no but there's loads of accessories on ebay to use to clip it on.
Enjoyed that, good test , Thanks
To be honest it was great fun to do it....I think if I used pedal assist a bit more I would get 40 miles no problem
Great video Fella Takes me back to when I was a kid fishing on the Tees lots of fun and great memories, I think 34 miles is great and to get 34 MPH as well great bike... I do have 1 question what's the charge time from flat to full battery ? 😀
I put the battery on charge when I got home and it took 6 hours to fully charge back up..
Only 6 hours that’s really good 👍🏻
@MrWilsonGeek yeah I think it's a 3 amp 48 volt charger.. 20ah battery
@@VANFLIPPINGTASTIC I think there is the Same Bike with 23ah battery or?
@A.grauer might be the phildo H8... Hard to get hold of in the uk..
Does that also have a throttle Terry. Mine only assists up to 15.5 mph 👍🏻
Yes it has a throttle .. I have other ebike that don't have a throttle and only go up to 15.5 mph...
The law is no throttle and only pedal assist to 15.5. So I am bending the rules a bit here
I know mate. Never really trusted hubbed wheels due to the torque they put out. I always feel they will bend the spokes 🤣🤣🤣🤣
@randomtherapy never though of that ...I've whacked some power through this like...all ok so far.. the RUclipsr "pappa blueshirt " has done 10 thousand miles on his
@@VANFLIPPINGTASTIC maybe you should try that without the batteries. Should get you down to 19 stone 🧐🤔🤣🤣🤣🥃🥃
@@randomtherapy 19 stone or heart attack, it's a heavy heavy bike...
Hi there
I don’t suppose you’ve had any issues with the battery rattling from the locking pin have you ? Mine is rattling around and can hear
It a lot when riding over any bumps ect
No mate no problem at all ,in fact I have never locked it in ,I just slide it in place and don't lock it...
Can’t it fall off then ?
@RichardAucamp-qf1zn No it's been fine and I've been off road with it...I've never locked it on..
wheres best to buy this in uk
Ebay is good ..your protected with PayPal payments..takes about 10 days to come...
just bought mine cant wait till it comes
@thomasmckechnie3907 brilliant.. let me know what you think.... its a beast in duel motor mode...
@@VANFLIPPINGTASTIC any idea what battery cost for new one
@thomasmckechnie3907 yeah around 300 quid...
Is it still working
@Absa7319 yes it still going strong .... brilliant bike
