Hey Ed. Is there any difference between Blazar Nero adapter and Real anamorphic lens like Blazar Remus in terms of edge falloff and distortion? I love the softness of blazar but i want to achive this look with Helios or Takumar with all the craziness of anamorphic distortion.

Ed, first off, thank you for making this video! Secondly, I feel like this is the update I've been waiting for. I currently own the GH4 and GH5, and recently acquired an FX6 from Sony. Since I work part-time as a wedding and corporate videographer, I'm considering adding this new camera to my lineup. Should I keep my GH4 or trade it in for two GH7s? I'd greatly appreciate any suggestions.

Great rig! Do you use any follow focus with it?

It's cool and looks great -but none of these mods / cineback / rigid pro things allow us to use the XLR unit for the S5iix without buying other dangly cables and hanging the unit off the back somewhere.

Can't you get the same result for cheaper by just using a rod system?

I like the funky look, I have the Blazar Remus, but my favourites are the DZO anamorphic. But the price is prohibitive. But I am happy with my purchase. I have no Zoom lens at all. I just change them out, but I can see the application for zooms. I work very minimal, with no external display, use the magnify button to focus, and just hit the record button, shoot with only a lens, camera body, and a monopod. Basic basic, view image in compressed view.....

Thanks - Great review as always. I am always nervous about powering cameras and monitors off the same batterry for fear of frying the hdmi port when powering up/down - I know this was an issue with Blackmagic cameras I have had in the past. Do you know Ed if Lumix cameras are as susceptible to this or if their cameras are better grounded to avoid such issues? Even RED & Arri I believe advise users when powering up to connect SDI/hdmi cables 'last', and to remove them 'first' when powering down... I am quite forgetful so I just power either the monitor OR camera off the v-lock... never the two, even tho it would be way more convenient to do the latter..

I know I'm late here but always feel the need to clear this up, speedboosters do not give you shallower DOF because the aperture increases in concert with the widened FOV. So yes you get more light but the lens is effectively wider so the DOF gain is negated.

Couldn't get the Shinobi to fill the frame desqueezing 1.5x anamorphic from 3:2. The Osee is much better and cheaper for this.

Looks great and super professional. The best part is you can still break it down to the smaller body again if you needed to!

Love the video Ed! I currently use a similar “bits and bobs” rig for my S5ii, but seeing a rig like this def makes me think about upgrading. Also would make me feel better about having this serve as a proper B Cam for my Kinefinity. Great content as usual mate!

Hi Ed, Look impressive!!😅😅😅 Personally because I relay on AF C and I need to have free access to the Camera Monitor and the AF dials of the Lumix it is not for me...but for manual PL lenses for sure it is a nice setup or with the hypothetic DJI Focus Pro product which should be out month ago and got forgotten by DJI😂😂😂😂😂.Any news about the true release date ?or did someone sue them for X? Nice review! I've been thinking about getting one of these for my Sony a7siii. What do you say to the "voices" online that say "Just get a cinema camera?" You might have already answered the question now thst I think as I type. You mentioned having the option of going from a heavy rig to a light one when needed. I like that flexibility.

Forgot to mention specifically in this video but it is available for other cameras including S5ii, G9ii, XH2s, FX3, FX30, A7siii, A7IV! (also GH6/GH7 which I did mention!)
