as someone who grew up spending all possible free awake time with PSP modding and custom firmware, homebrew things from the bottom of my heart thank you for your videos. It revives so many strong emotions in a way that is hard to express. PSP is a marvel and the custom FW scene topped all of that off.

A little hack for most who want to centre it right first time, cut the stick half way down and drill 3mm in in the centre of the shaft of the analogue stick, file to a fine point, means it'll remain centred and not move while drying

Is there a plan for similar video for the 3DS batteries? There have been reports of swelling even inside sealed systems, random manufacturers produced low quality batteries and on top of that every 3DS model has a different battery which is extremely frustrating.

im glad to see more people used the PSPHUD plugin. that shit was very useful back in these days. but no one i knew with a modded PSP ever used. its spirit lives on the SteamOS hud for the Steam Deck.

the issue is its hard to find an original North America unit. i had a psp 2000 as a kid i want one again i loved that thing. and there are no listings with codes when i search ebay for a psp

Wait, so the 3000, the only model many PSP enthusiasts would even consider buying, doesn't have an IPS mod? Why/how? Could you make a video about why this might be? That's truly shocking news if it's true. There must be something about the internals that makes it more difficult and/or expensive.

Man if only I saw this video before I made my 256gb psp 3k around 2 years ago. I filled it up enough to where it started having corrupted memory problems in the storage and I just couldnt figure out what was happening, as there was literally no correct documentation online related to high amounts of storage on the psp with people getting 256 or 512gb sd cards in their psps and saying "it just works" and nothing more.

I got f-ed. Paid 83$ for a psp for a jap bright red 3000 series. It has some paint wear and screen is yellowing Got f-ed cuz it was an auction, by mistake i put 90$ and couldn't retract my bid unless the seller agreed 😂, it went from 20$ to 83$ in the last couple of hours (atleast the it doesn't have chiped paint and is taken well care off, and it came with a useless 3600 mah battery) Never using Ebay auctions again

The original PSP1000 display has 4 brightness levels with the button on the PSP. So these videos don't show that, this could be the lowest setting. Do the other IPS displays work with the brightness button?

Came here just now after my 7 yr old son found my original Model PSP-110 I’d left out on my work bench. He plugged in the charger and within 5 mins ran upstairs to me saying the back cover blew off 😳 It didn’t explode just swelled up. I safely removed it and of course googled why this happens and finding out I’ve let this sit for over 8 yrs of non usage. Well now I’m grateful even more so for your video and still need to buy a replacement battery so I can pass on the enjoyment of the PSP to my mini me

After seeing this video (and wow, many thanks my good man) and after purchasing a falsely advertised PSP battery I now know what batteries can actually work for my PSP 3000. I also found out that a PSP 1000 battery can actually work for a 2000 and 3000 model. So, I was wondering before I buy the OSTENT phat 1000 battery and place it in my 3000 model. Where would buy a good battery cover or what should I do to cover the battery? Since it is clearly bulkier than the cover can handle.

I have a question does the psp mh 3000 version work with regular psp battery slim 3000 even if its not a thicker one like on the 1000 psp ?

I had one in my childhood, 3000 series. Now it's hard to get something useful here so for 60-80 bucks although it's not my currency it's still cheap and I'll guess still worth it. It won't be same as unpacking a brand new one from box ages ago but functionality wise? No problem for me, some scratches, inperfections? Daily I drive motorcycle from commblock era, 30yrs old car, they are not perfect, not a problem for me.

only problem is, the ostent battery 2000mah decreased half its life over the cousre of a year of not using the console. maximum reported battery level in psp everest shows us 1790mah, when it should be 2000mah
