how many prejudices.... let's clarify: 1-"shantytowns"' (I wouldn/t define them that way since these homes have all the basic services: running water-sewer-electricity-internet and r in a perfect state of maintenance, taking into account that "beggarliness" is housed in that place). in Buenos AIres gives a clear idea that what Argentina considers ""beggarliness" what other countries consider lower class... 2 surface area occupied by shantytowns is tiny: 1.3% of the total surface area of the city (2.6 Km2 in 205 Km2 of Buenos Aires) and they r also being urbanized, transforming them into regular neighborhoods (the remaining undeveloped area represents around 0.5% from the city) and now the relevant thing: the fact that you didn;t find people of very low social class is explained by: in Argentina -all minors under 18 years old receive monetary income just for being Argentina's resident -also receive it between 18 and 30 y.o., in the case they r studying -all those over 60 y.o, also receive retirement pensions therefore, it's unlikely that u saw a massive number of beggars anywhere, not only in Buenos Aires, but in Argentina. In the case of homeless (there r about a tiny 2.5K considering that the population of Buenos Aires is 17M inhabitants) they r people affected by drug consumption and although the City government offers them shelters, some hundreds of them refuse them. , due to their state of addiction and obviously they aren't habitués of cultural spaces... and finally: just as u didn;t have any restrictions on entering the Cultural Center, Argentines even less do, taking considering that the president who financed the construction of that Cultural Center (Cristina Kirchner) was the one who granted all the social benefits that I listed above.

there is no reason to go to PG. The place is a hole. Even in its heyday, the 60's 70's, none of the residents or govt put much money into the place, and it shows today. People either spent all their money in the bars, or on pickups or if they were smart, they banked their money and moved somewhere civilized when they retired. This is rather common for most small and mid sized cities esp in the north. The housing and infrastructure could be described as decrepit or subpar at best. Places like PG never get much resources from either the province or ottawa, thus places like PG become basically dumping grounds that receive the bare minimum to keep the place going. Guess what Victoria's biggest worry is? A mass exodus from PG (and similar areas) to the lower mainland where they will spike the crime rate and increase congestion in an already overcrowded region. So its a dilemma, send insufficient resources so PG cant really cope, but you need to send just enough to prevent a exodus southwards.

Another amazing adventure. I wish you continued fun and safe travels. But, there's no way you've been in Argentina this whole time, right? I have to assume it's just when you've decided to release these videos. But wow, still, it has to have been a long trip down there. If you can believe it I'm "still getting ready" for my own adventures; getting the money ready. And THEN, France changed some visa stuff, so I had to work around that. Not to mention all the youtube preparations. But I finally have the new "identity," all the ID verifications and just trying to finish my first big video within the month (I am doing this all in an odd way!) But you've been an inspiration and I have to imagine it has been an extensive mix of travel arrangements, research, filming, editing, etc,. so it's much appreciated.

No, I left Argentina already but I tell you, this country is worth spending at least a year in because there is so much to see, and the sheer size of the country (over 2 million square kilometers of territories, probably the size of western Europe). It looks like you know what's happening next, so that's a good sign itself. All the best and keep me updated 👍

I'm very behind on your uploads, but maybe in one or more, you did discuss how your money worked at the time. I'll catch up and see. And I think I did read that they had a very liberal residency process--and so were getting a bunch of people migrating--but if that's the case, stays of more than 3 months should be possible; whereas that's typically the limit in many places.

Great videos of Victoria! I live here, and have stayed at Ocean Island Backpackers Inn when I first got here. I think you were just unlucky with the weather, but usually that room would have been just fine. (Skip the Beavertail, I think that's just a tourist trap thing - a Tim Hortons Timbit instead maybe) Yes, it's very expensive. I would have got the $5 day pass, then you could have got off the bus in Sidney, and caught the next bus so to walk around a bit to see it. When in downtown Victoria, you can take bus 2 through James Bay to fishermans wharf (have your lunch but don't feed the sealions) and walk or take the bus to Ogden Point breakwater, that's wonderful to see. The Sour Pickle Cafe would probably be better for breakfast. Take any bus to Uvic, then take Bus 11 towards Tillicum Mall, getting off anywhere along Gorge road before it turns onto Admirals road - it's nice to see the reversing falls depending on the tide (at Tillicum Road). (Bus 11 also stops at Cadboro Bay a lovely beach) And if it's a double decker bus, sit up at the front and enjoy the views. From Victoria to Vancouver, it's probably better to take the BC Ferries Connector coach bus that goes onto the ferry and goes right to downtown Vancouver - it saves the hassle of transfers. And finally, renting a bicycle and doing the tour from The Pedaler (at Huntington Manor) is worth the money. (Although it might get you over budget).

I was born and raised in Marseille. We migrated to the USA in 1985. I haven’t been in Marseille since but will be there this summer for just a couple of days. I know it has changed so much since my childhood and the neighborhood that we used to live is now considered a bad neighborhood. I hope I will not be too disappointed

Hi! It's called Restaurant la Palestine, right beside a Best Western Hotel (where I stayed). I hope you'll have a great trip in one of the most amazing cities in Europe 🙏

I live in south of France and I go sometimes to Marseille. It's not dangerous except perhaps in certain districts in the north of the town. The food that you show is not of this region. The typical dishes are made of fish and for exemple the fish soup. You can take a boat in the port and visit an island nearby. The surroundings are interesting with small cities along the sea but it's necessary to have a car
