  • In This Episode, the BA adventures continue as we tour the National Congress Building of Argentina (Congreso de la Nación Argentina) and its surroundings, including a rather impressive office building (Palacio Barolo). After a quick discussion on how was Argentina able to afford all the impressive buildings, we explore the fashionable and affluent neighbourhood of Palermo, where we visit its impressive gardens (Parque Tres de Febrero) and monuments associated with Italian and Spanish communities (Plaza Italia, Monument to the Magna Carta and the Four Regions /Monumento de los Españoles). We will also be answering a question that we have since we arrived in BA: Is Buenos Aires Paris of America, or should it deserves such title?

    Paris of America,
no other metropolis in the world is as similar to Paris as Buenos Aires is, and it's no coincidence...
Shortly after Paris was demolished in the mid-19th century, to take on its current appearance, Buenos Aires was also demolished and rebuilt in the image of Paris, with its architectural styles (beaux arts/academism-art nouveau/deco), proliferation of parks and layouts of large boulevards, diagonals and avenues.

If you are still in Buenos Aires, you can visit the Statue of Liberty. The original.
It's at 1629 La Pampa street.
It was built by the same french manufacturers of the one in New York, and was inaugurated first.
    But is a bit smaller.

Regarding the economic data, they r misleading....
100 years ago only 40 countries existed (the rest were dozens of colonies of European empires) so the location of Argentina in the top 10, is equivalent to its current position among 200 countries, and an important clarification, 100 years ago it didn't exist globalization in multinational companies, which is why at least thirty countries, with PBI/capital ahead of Argentina, r fictitious numbers, they r countries, fundamentally islands, that offer accounting roots to multinationals to avoid paying taxes in their respective countries countries, and obviously their economic results are computed for these free tax countries, when in reality no economic activity is carried out in situ, a typical case is Ireland, which is the tax headquarters of Google, and it computes all the economic activity of this multinational , when it only pose the tax headquarters.....
