I've recently found out that some people go to Starbucks or wherever to get a massive cup of syrups so they can make their own coffee at home using that. So it makes me wonder every time now: are they actually drinking it, or are they secretly a personal barista?

Recently I’ve realized that the highest quality in clothing and service can come from a small business rather than a luxury brand. Small businesses are so ambitious, and I feel that reaching the top has made luxury brands loose a sense of what they were when they all started out, in both quality and service.

As a resident of a "third world" country I strongly recommend boycotting big companies by eating real food. Rice, beans, vegetables, own crops, consume from local producers... learn from nations that have always faced hunger and poverty without a bowl of cereal or milk to tell the story... or from the people who lived in your country before it is emptied and reoccupied.

I live in Utah and left Mormonism at about the same time these soda shops were starting to kick off and they’re baffling to me. Maybe it’s because I’ve never had much of a sweet tooth, but these overly sugary concoctions just look gross to me. In a way though, it’s comforting to see Mormon culture becoming more alien to me as time goes on.

I don't get why people think they can make videos when they are supposed to be working. I used to work in this nursing home. There was a video of the overnight shift aides dancing in the hallways. I also used to overhear the morning shift aides talking about how some of the residents were left sitting in their own shit all night. So these assholes were.fimong themselves dancing while the people they were supposed to be taking care of were marinating on their own waste. While I worked as a laundry aide, I had no time to film myself dancing around because I was too busy doing my job. It's disgusting.

I just want some good quality long lasting items , like I wish my boots to survive more than a winter before cracking , they were expensive too

This is a great reminder to support smaller luxury designers. Especially BIPOC/multicultural creators. They're the epitome of slow fashion. If you want art pieces which are created in small quantities, hand crafted and supporting individuals rather than faceless corporations, then look no further than such global designers. I went to nyfw and had the pleasure of meeting a gay nonbinary designer, Rohit Verma, who created a pride-inspired rainbow collection that mixed his personal identities with his rich cultural heritage. I even got to meet him afterwards and chat. It is absolutely possible to find the humanity and artistry in modern fashion. You just need to stop being brainwashed by soulless global brands that have no name, no shame or dignity to lose, and no target for accountability, criticism or improvement. And YES, these luxury designers will be expensive. Not even counting inflation, it's simply the price you pay for buying a wearable art piece that is sourced and produced ethically while also supporting that artisan's future creative endeavors. We have gotten too spoiled with cheap and poor quality fast fashion that we've brainwashed ourselves into settling for less, when the long term value & heirloom nature of luxury fashion pieces is objectively better than anything you'll get from SHEIN. If you're fine with dropping 3500 for a large brand's overhyped bag, but draw the line at 1200 for a detailed dress from a smaller designer, then that's on you!

Here in Mexico when Taylor announced, everyone turned mad against the US audience because they were saying they'll fly here to see Taylor. People were of course angry, including myself. The US had lots of dates, and its obvious but, us having waiting for Taylor for a decade... you don't think we'll get furious?. Personally I waited until last year, 13 years to see Taylor live. I live in Mexico, I am Mexican. I saw how people were even cancelling influencers that got platinum tickets, because those influencers talked shit about Taylor for years and now suddenly they loved her and stole the space for fans that also have waited for years. Four dates weren't enough. The only people I saw that my mexican fellas were welcoming were people from all Latin America, wether because Taylor wasn't going to their country or because they didn't got tickets. And that happened in Europe and Asia too. If they were seeing american influencers or americans that got to see Taylor multiple times in the US flying to other countries, they got furious. In Argentina were even threatening them. In Argentina was really intense in how they didn't wanted any americans in the concert because of that. In Latin America we all have to wait for years for an artist, doesn't mattering the type of music, to see them perform in our countries. So Taylor or not, people will get angry and believe it is unfair to let influencers take over for free. Not only american influencers but all over the globe. So just saying that at least for Latin America and Asia was UNFAIR.
