Indian Scout Bobber Motovlog | New Sony ECMLV1 Mic Testing
Riding out to test a new mic for my helmet after the Hero 7 black decided to stop recording audio. Also tested out recording audio from the motorcycle with my Zoom H5 in the saddle bags with a wind-cutting muff on the top. Definitely a much more complicated setup but in the end I think it is much better audio. The mic seems to be far more sensitive and I will have to move it to a different spot because at some points it distorts from my voice being too loud.

    10:33 some people are just douche bags. Cudos to you for not letting him passing you getting to your ego. Too many people take it as a personal affront - especially men have a tendency to do this. If somebody is tailgating me whether I'm in my car on or my bike I'll do everything I can to help them pass me. I don't want them rear-ending me when I need to hit the breaks because a deer ran out on the road or whatever. Ride safe.

    To be fair, I have a scrambler 1200. 89 horses only, but I CANNOT drive slow. When I get stuck behind somebody, I get the urge to rush around them. However, I don't get in front and slow down. I continue driving fast. Go to Florida. Do 15 over and people will tailgate you because they want to be in front, then you can move out of the way, they'll get in front and immediately slow down. They will ALWAYS tailgate. Psychopaths.

      Not unique to FL. I've been all over the world, this is universal. I'll have my cruise control on, somebody will pass me and then slow down. I know for a fact I didn't speed up.

    For Some reason some cars NEED to do a fly by on Motorcycles, I have no idea why. But, It's a daily occurence on the highway/regular streets. Teslas are the biggest offenders of this in Vegas atleast.

    It's a beautiful bike. The way you romanticise it makes me think you have a little bit of English heritage yourself somewhere down the line. Before you mentioned the mirrors I didn't like them. The shape doesn't seem to be in keeping with the era that the rest of the bike reflects. I love the decals and the exhaust has a nice rumble to it. PS I'm a Triumph owner too. Love 'em.

    Yes, the engine on the '25 Scouts do look very modern which is probably the reason I don't like them as much as the engine on my Bobber 20. With 5-10 more HP than my Scout I don't feel l like it's worth the upgrade. And Yes, no bobber 20. I'm predicting that '26 or '27 will have a Scout Bobber Darkhorse that will take the place of the Bobber 20.

    I would hate to not have that extra gear when compared to scout 69s. I cruise in 5th gear between 60-70 if I want a bit more power immediately. If I cruise higher than 70 or know I’m going to stay at 60, I’ll be in 6th.

Can't wait to get them to replace the tiny registration holder that I've got on there now. Is that the Indian mid height windscreen on yours as well? Glad I found this video. Did the same thing and peeled the fiberglass in half, but I used Saran Wrap like they do with the quiet baffles you can order (burns off). Wrap tighter on the end that leads back into the exhaust, still can be a pain, but no issues and definitely a lot better on the ears at wide open throttle

    • @motowillg5398
      @motowillg5398 3 месяца назад

      Yea it was a pain for sure. I think if I did it again I would go that route or use masking tape all the way around so it would just burn off. But a great mod none the less.

    I got the same bags for my 2022 Scout Rogue Sixty ABS, a few days ago and yes, they came with only 4 big washers, I luckily had some extra at home, I use the factory washers that came in the motorcycle, I use one outside the bag , put 2 big washers inside with the acorn nut , broke 2 of them in the first install and the other 2 survived 😂😂, I’m planning to get a couple of quick release anchors for inside the bag, got the lidlox handlebar helmet locker, floorboard, crush bar and heel/toe shifter, I got use to because I used to have a HD , so now I’m planning to get a Bluetooth speaker to hide between the handlebars and the useless tiny fairing 😂😂, ride safe brother. 👍👍

    Great video. I have the same bike as yours same exhaust. I changed the heat shields to black, swapped in an LED headlamp, installed extended foot pegs and added a saddle bag. This baffle mod and rear suspension upgrade are the two left on my list.

    • @motowillg5398
      @motowillg5398 3 месяца назад

      Yeah I wasn't a fan of the extended controls. Probably just because I come more standard bikes that have mid controls and I that even tho I am 6 foot 3 it feelt to far out for me. Specially with this seat. I am on the fence about the LED headlight. I like the light it produced but I am not a fan of the look. The analog style of the stock one feels better. But I have also seen some headline grills that you can throw on over the LED one and they make it look better.

    Hi. I am having similar issues with the noise on my Scout Bobber. Before I start dismantling my V&H system (looks identical to yours on the outside) could you please confirm if you have a honeycomb gauze in the inside of your muffler pipes (6-8 inches within the muffler) like mine or can you see straight through. Thanks in advance.

    • @motowillg5398
      @motowillg5398 3 месяца назад

      Before I wrapped mine, you can see at 10:01 in the video that the only thing in my pipes was the baffles. You can see through them but they have a texture to the inside of them with little half circles in the metal poking down into the baffle tube. All I did was wrap those in fiberglass muffler backing and insert them back into the pipes. They did NOT have a honeycomb pattern to them at all.

    I’ve seen someone else mount these bags and they put the big washers on the inside of the bags which makes sense to prevent the bags pulling out of the pre drilled holes through weight etc. They look good though!! Nice work 👍🏍

    • @motowillg5398
      @motowillg5398 3 месяца назад

      That does make sense. I am guessing that because I only got the 4 large washers and none of the other 8 were included I missed that. However I do have something I am trying and I will keep you guys updated on it. Their quick lock mounting systen is not compatible with these so I am getting creative and if it works it will be a cool little hack to make these easily removable and also help retain them while mounted like the washers you mentioned. Appreciate the tip!

      Yea apparently its the hypersmooth stabalization of the HERO7 Black has. As per GoPro support it should not be used with an ND filter because it works off higher shutter speeds. I like the ND filter because it makes the motionblur better. I have it turned off now and it does seem to have solved the problem is just dumb. I wil be getting an OSMO Action 4 or whatever is the latest one next. I have a drone and Ronin SC2 that I love so I will go that route as well.

    • @motowillg5398
      @motowillg5398 3 месяца назад

      I am 6'3" 180lbs. Pretty tall and lanky. There are a few configurations that would work perfectly for you. I have the mini ape hangers and standard foot controls. My knees are bent but not uncomfortable, I like this riding position. Now you can get the flat bar and/or extended controls and you would have ALOT more legroom. I had the optional extended controls and I did not like them, it was a little too relaxed of a riding position for me. However, most guys our height prefer them. The mini apes are awesome, I would highly suggest them over the standard flat bar the regular bobber comes with, they are really comfortable. Hope that helps.
