The Fire

Last week we rode out to a wind farm. Not more than 24 hours later a massive fire had broken out and engulfed the area we rode through. In this video we take a look at just how bad it was.

Fires are a bitch. Those near you were fortunate. The big ones we had here in Lake County (NorCal) were devastating, lots of people lost houses & businesses. Will be a long time before they recover. Going on a group ride through some of the devastated areas today. Bet it's gonna be awful.

With all due respect, when you say 'It's all gone' it looks like (in the video) that it's just grassy plains. Did more burn that we're not seeing? I ask because in Australia bush fires are truly a horrific beast. Nothing burns quite like the Australian bush in the middle of summer.
