Why is Romeo’s ballad basically a roofie ?

Kinda surprised you hadn't used double-hand before. I'm a big fan of using it on classes that normally can't equip or don't need shields like Red Mage and Samurai.

Just to clarify, per my checks, Atomos has 10K MP and Comet costs only 7 per cast. That would be 1428 casts that Atomos is able to do.

I like that you went and got control, once it was clear that it was doable anyway.

I asked for this a few vids ago and its exactly what I was hoping for and expecting. Making great use of Break Blade for bosses that can tend to wall other jobs, Silence Blade to clown on Omniscient. I didnt even consider flame rings with firaga blade for healing so I even learned something today.

Oh you sweet summer child, you truly have *no* idea what Dualcast is like when used to the *fullest* extent possible. Sure, with the magic jobs (aside of Blue mage) it's not really a big deal. A boost to power for them sure, but nothing really to write home about. But when used on Mime and combined with the power of other jobs...you can become so ridiculously, stupidly, insanely over the top broken that enemies, even the final boss or superbosses, *can't even get one turn* (or barely so) before they die.

Are harps bad because it uses a demi formula? Are bosses immune to demi?

Could you not have lanced omniscient to death to you know not fail the challenge.

"The power of spell-based blade-buffs." That's a tongue twister! It's surprising to see early Mystic Knight struggles. Not the fact that they're struggling, but seeing them. On some level I just _know_ that Mystic Knight is bad early-game job, excellent late-game ability. Oof, try to spare a phoenix down on the skeleton boss and end up spending it on your team instead! DX Wait, Sleep Spellblade doesn't work on Atomos? That sounds like a bug. What the hey hey Pixel Remaster? And it doesn't work on the Crystals, and it didn't work on the Dragon Grass. Pixel Remaster, what did you do? I wonder how the PR implements the Excalipoor behind the scenes. Damage formula? Special on-hit effect? Because Flare Spellblade increases attack power and various abilities prevent on-hit effects. They must have bugged it at least once during development! Wait you actually picked up the Ice Shield in ExDeath's castle, and the shields in the Pyramid? Who are you and what have you done with the real Backlog Buster? I remember NeoExdeath's Almagest part being 'vulnerable' to Break. Lamp Catoblepas can't be targeted, !Released Orukat/Mover still only gets one chance to work, and the Break spell will just fail due to insane magic evade. Break Spellblade _should_ be the best option, but not if they've borked it in the PR. :P Thank you for another one of these. Still worked in some great jokes after all these runs! :D

I love your series and now I think I want to try my first challenge run and because of you I think I'll start with FF5. Which job do you recommend for someone's very first challenge run?

mystic knight is my fave job in the series (followed by redmage) something bout buffing your sword with magic to hit super hard always gets me. "hey final boss, lemme fuse FLARE to my sword! now explode fcker!" course my favourite ever "spell sword" is FF9 Steiner-Vivi combo, doomsday spell sword. sure Steiner, you're doing a lot of heavy lifting with your lil sword swing as Vivi calls down a world ending meteor right behind you..... wait this version doesnt hurt the party? well holy shit >.>

Love the videos, FFV is one of my fave games and Mystic Knights are goated. One thing, I thought Garula was female? Iirc there’s a spot where you can talk to its handler or a kid who mentions “She” is normally gentle and friendly to the town children, or something like that. But that might be a relic of the PS1 translation?

Some of the jobs clearly exist just to compliment another job. Bard’s Sing command starts as a really solid supporter support ability. White Mage being able to regen the whole party in one round? Pretty decent. If nobody needs healing why not try Romeo’s Ballad? Also, speed affects how fast the buff songs work, so a Ninja or Thief with haste makes a great backup singer. It’s really fun seeing the ATB system become dysfunctional as you accelerate towards 255 speed.

Zok is the best character in all of Final fantasy. Prove me wrong. *hic*

Single job challenges are SO MUCH FUN

Mystic Knight is basically a Grugfest but with a single turn of setup. Extremely strong, even in spite of not having access to Knightswords.

If you need to take a break Wes take one from FF5 and do some other work. Your intro sounded somewhat depressed

I mean, you almost certainly could have beaten him at level 41; Break Blade takes out the Almagest part instantly. Sure the physicals were bad, but without all the party-wide Almagest damage, him Vacuum Waving Bartz to death repeatedly turns from a legitimate threat to a minor if somewhat amusing annoyance

Looking forward to seeing the beastmaster run. They have at least a couple of useful command abilities, and there's several bossfights that are trivialized by releasing four monsters.

I was jumping for joy and handstand twerking when I saw mystic knight.

I think for mime. Each character should be allowed to get 1 level or so from each of their crystals jobs

I wished they changed the characters you move around with. Even the 8 bit version did that when they changed job, sloppy!

What makes you like FFV so much?

U missed a perfectly perfect opportunity to add space balls scene in ur video.....near the end......from the statue of Liberty vacuuming part. After the gate is opened....and they take the air......if ur a fan then u know.

I think Time Mage is going to be easy because you can rod smash.

I have been doing this series with you 😂 every time you release a video, i do the same run after to see how long it takes. So far i have hated the berserkers the most. It was just mind numbing. Great series!

I think we've all figured out you can beat FFV by now. Stuff like this should be spaced out between other content. The same video 20 times is cancerous for people with no interest in that specific game.

Dude. PLEASE. For the love of all that is in Heaven, could you at least try to nuke Magissa with the frostrod smash turn 1? If they didn't increase her HP by 250, then she should still have 650 health and can be rod smashed on the very first action. In the gba version it was Six hundred fifty HP, so a single rod smash ended the fight nomatter the magical damage roll. It really does break my heart 💔 that the pixel remaster changed so much for the technical bosses

Btw i just wanted to say i loved your double digit carbon fiber/submarine jokes. That was classhole stuff right there and i salute it as a fellow classhole.

too lazy to go back and check but sort of wondering what your time and levels have been so far for every class. Along with stuff like did you use brave blade or chicken knife and other stuff? Still love challenges like this.
