As someone who found your videos due to the FFV 22 job challenge, I really enjoyed the content. Thanks for being one of the few bright spots of my 2024
22 Jobs. One at...wait a minute, something's wrong... More seriously, it's great to see that you've been doing pretty well this year. Found you through FFV challenge vids, and you actually convinced me to purchase FFV even though I never played it seriously before.
I'll add another stone to the "I'm here cuz of FF5 single job" basket. Glad yer considering FFT single job, that one's gonna be fun to see. And good luck on all the other stuff, I gotta see all the SMT ones, cuz I love that series too. Looking forward to another year.
This has been a fantastic year, discovering your channel from the DS1 shield only challenge and going through the FFV job series with you, you’re amazing bro!! Here’s to many 2025 vids 🍻
🎉🎉Final fantasy tactics 🎉🎉 Feliz ano novo No futuro caso ainda queira fazer vídeo sobre ff5 recomendo: Instend of max all jobs for 4 units maybe you would try max job related to crystal element (ex: bartz =all wind crystal jobs)
Man I love your content. As an RPG lover im extremely excited for your evey PS1 square enix content. As for premium content, what you have planned is great! I really only subscribe to get contentent creator as the money they should be getting. I really dont need premium content, just more awesome videos that i have been backlog watching sense I found your channel. I look forward to your videos every time they come up. I wish I could create content as good as yours. Looking forwars to 2025!
I enjoyed the FF5 Single Job Challenge videos and they are what brought me to the channel. I fully look forward to what is coming in the future and definitely look forward to any SMT games you're doing past the two DDS games
Aww, I was looking forward to some awkward ads about shaving private parts with a sponsor of THAT shaving brand ! In all seriousness, your content have been a beacon during a dark part of my life, thank you so much.
Found you through FFV 22 Job Challenge. Marathon'd that, bro! Actually got me back in to FFV (I love the job system FFs, Final Fantasy Tactics is my GOAT). Keep it up! Cheers to '25!
I absolutely love your channel - I can't wait to see what you put out next. Your FFV single job challenge series was the highlight of the year for me - Can't for you to do Chrono Trigger!
Hey, I really enjoyed your FF5 all jobs series. I also would not feel bad if it took longer for those videos to come out. I found your channel because of other challenge run content, like The Backlogs and JK Leeds, and I think that as long as you're putting out stuff that pushes the boundaries for what can be considered playing the game correctly, you'll find your stride. I fully understand the apprehension towards Xenogears, I'm still intimidated by that game even though it came out when I was like 10. It's super cool, but man does it promise to be a long playthrough. But anyway, people like you have inspired me to take another look at some of my games and think of ways to really challenge myself, and it's led to my continued enjoyment of them. I played through Baldur's Gate 3 solo because of a video from someone else, and your stuff really got me craving more Final Fantasy. Which by the way, you should take a look at Final Fantasy Renaissance. It's not official, it's a fan game, but it really adds a ton of cool stuff to the original FF. I had a great time with all dancers in that one, but they work way different to how the are in FF5. Thanks for all the stuff you've put out this last year, it's been a great time.
Found you through the FF5 Single Job challenge series, and loved every video :D Chrono Trigger? And Cross? And FFT? And Digital Devil Saga? Are you trying to become my top favorite content creator? Because that's how you do it XD I'm excited for what all you have to bring us :) Not just because the games are great, but your humor and narration adds a LOT to the experience ^__^ Thank you for all the work you put in!
I found your channel a while ago. I enjoyed watching your challenge runs was fun, I really enjoyed your FFV single job challenge. I look forward to 2025 and to see what you play next. Final Fantasy 3 beware it was made to change jobs, so if you do FFIII expect too grind a lot depending on the job.
Honestly as someone who dislikes most turn based games. I enjoyed the FF5 challenge series as you find a way to make it entertaining even if it’s done 23 times. As well explaining what items do or attempting new spells to see if they are good or not.
I particularly enjoyed when he memed with Drakengard 3 when using Bard and claiming four of the songs are actually the Intoners’ songs. It sort of makes me want to watch a playthrough of Drakengard 3.
Do not, for the love of all that is holy, unholy, and lewd, do a single job challenge of FFIII. If you must, and I mean MUST, then do themed challenges where you get one job *per crystal*. While there are a few standalone jobs that make FFV's thief look good, many of the jobs in later crystals are just direct upgrades to earlier jobs and if I understand the code correctly even benefit from the job levels you have in their preceding jobs. Also, you convinced me. *Clicks that join button*
Thanks for joining. I'm seeing a lot of very similiar sentiments about 3. I'll get around too it relatively soon and then make the call on Single Job Challenges. Im thinking most of you guys are right about it being a skip.
I hope your channel takes off . Most creators just end up streaming and making 1 or 2 videos a year because of money vs time and effort. Listened to your FFV videos during my work drives takes an hr in morning and 30 more mins in afternoon.
As a huge tactics fan i am super psyched to see those single job challenge runs and i can imagine a few jobs making all the job runs in 5 look like cake walks.
Looking forward to your Square PS1 content. They put out a lot of great games on that system! The FF games are classics, of course. One of my favorites that I picked up because of the brand was Legend of Mana, a beautiful, if somewhat obtuse, game with a relatively non-linear structure. It has potential for a "beat the game with different class"-likes since there are like 11 different weapons to pick from.
Something that i've seen other people do for patreon stuff is that they make their things exclusive for a couple of months. Then afterwards they slowly put a selection of the old exclusive stuff on the public channel. That way it kinda drip feeds the public and incentives then to join.
Ive gotten that advice but I'd prefer to keep premium content premium to retain value to all of my supporters. Maybe once I make enough I can start cycling some out.
I don’t know the lore behind the xenogears hate, but I’m excited for it, it’s one of my favorite rpgs ever. Squaresoft on PS1 is peak gaming for me so I’m stoked for it. Brave Fencer musashi should be fun videos hopefully with a challenge or two. Keep up the hard work!
Kind of funny how we are the same when it comes to the OG Final Fantasy. I've played 4-6 nonstop, done 1 and 2 on the GBA, but never done 3 ever in my life. I have the pixel remaster, but my backlog is just as filled as yours, lol. Kind of hard when FF XIV takes a lot of your time.
Another channel attempted a single-job challenge of FF3 and concluded it's a waste of time and not worth trying. The reason for this was every time you came to a section where you were expected to use very specific jobs, you just had to grind a lot and then the rest of the game became too easy. While FF5 SJC makes those ridiculous grinds the exception, FF3 makes it the rule.
I've played FFIII at least 50 times and there are simply too many jobs. It's a technical marvel, for sure - and one of the largest games ever on the Famicom - but you really only need most of the jobs for one or two dungeons. You can even beat Hyne pretty easily without the Scholar. Trying to beat the Cloud of Darkness with just Vikings... or Rangers? No. Just... no. That's not how the game mechanics were written. It'd be like trying to beat FFIV without using the Crystal.
Looking forward to the Squaresoft games series. I mostly played the FF games and Chrono Cross from the PS1 days. It was the other RPGs at the time that I genereally played a decent amount. Lunar being two of my favorite RPGs ever.
Well, I won't be doing premium anymore. I have become fed up with the youtube music experience and canceled it. I do, however, very much enjoy your content, so I joined cause that supports you and it good for da Al Gore rhythm.
Hey bud, defs going to join as a member, I'd love to see some classic Drakengard videos. You'll be the first, and only channel I support. You're humor is just on point man.
two things worth considering as premium content, though you may have already thought of these / been suggested them (or heck, maybe you're already doing them and i'm just not aware) - you could give backers the opportunity to vote on which game / challenge to pursue next, and you could release new videos a week+ in advance for backers
How old are you? Im 44. Old man. I had it all from atari 2600, NES, SNES. 64, PS1, PS2, etc... Rpg nerd too because i got Dragon Warrior 1 from Nintendo power when it came out then i was hooked. DW2, 3, 4, Final fantasy and so on. Anyway, love your content. Mostly old school rpg stuff like your FFV stuff. Chrono Trigger and Cross will be good. Love those 2.
Also...in a few months/years/whenever you're no longer burned out on FFV, I'd be down to see that True Freelancer run where you fully max out the power of Freelancer to fully demonstrate just how utterly snapped in half FFV can be if you know what you're doing. I used a handful of your strategies in my casual run and it's made it smooth and painless, it was really funny gunning down Archaeoaevis with 4 Blue Mages spamming 1000 Needles
I found you through your FFV vids. You know how difficult it was to STOP watching all your FFV videos at a point so as to not fully spoil the game that I never finished in my teens?
@@BacklogBuster Yup from Konami. You go into a tower to collect riches and more importantly monster eggs to get you to the top. Really fun game and it is a shame that they never made another one besides a port for the gameboy.
About FFIII; while it's a game I like it probably doesn't work well with single job only challenges. Mainly due to certain boss that is designed to be beaten in certain way using certain job making it a VERY likely roadblock to most jobs there are many other bosses (especially later on) that have no real strategies to use but mainly rely on you having the best gear available, being strong enough and having half of your party on healing duty EVERY TURN. Also Phoenix Downs are VERY rare in FIII so you can't exactly just keep reviving your party members over and over again while slowly dealing enough damage to win. That said I'd love to see you try and strongly suggest starting out with Dragoon.
Finally a reason to actually look forward to next year, especially with _FFT_ in the mix. I'd advise maybe splitting that one up over maybe two years rather than you burning out on it since even as much as I love that game, it *is* decently long. (There are also very few people I would wish True Calculator or Mime or even the tedium--again--of Bard or Dancer single class runs on as well, though even those are likely still better than what I have seen of _FF3_ myself.)
Im getting this sentiment a lot in the comments. I'll make a better assertion once I've played it but I do know that a bunch of the jobs are basically just upgrades so we'll see what happens
Fair word of warning, FFV also exists on PS1. You might want to push that toward the back of the line. FF3 is a fine enough game, but I don't think it's suitable for a solo job challenge. Especially Onion Knight for the PR, as that one is just hell. (Currently working on that challenge myself.) But I am definitely looking forward to the Square catalog videos. That's gonna be good
Have you considered some of the Squaresoft Japan-only classics? If people are interested in watching Final Fantasy 5 runs, they might be interested in Front Mission, Bahamut Lagoon, and Seiken Densetsu 3.
You could make that argument but as far as I'm concerned the class change is just part of the game. I will absolutely be using it when I do the ff1 sjc.
Never played anything in the Shin Megami series(es?) and didn't particularly have a reason to look into it. Same for Dead Rising, but I watched those vids because funny man say funny things in funny way.
My only hope for you is that as you step into this space similar to where The Completionist was, please don't start a bogus charity where your family embezzles all the money.
I won't ever run a charity fundraiser so you can rest easy on that one. I dont want to shill you products, and I firmly believe all your personal philanthropy should be towards benefitting your community (Donating to Firefighters, Hospitals, Museums, etc). Too many charities are full of CEO's and management skimming off the top for me to care about any of them.
I have done FF3 with only Knights, and it is indeed possible with some bending of the rules to get around the mini/toad sections. However it is not very fun as many bosses have gimmicks that try and funnel you into using specific jobs. But that won't stop me from doing more.
I have seen an onion Knight only play through, though there are places where you need to job change for story progression (mini/toad sections for example). The onion Knight only challenge involves abusing elemental attack items (Arctic wind etc), absurdly long battles due to low DPS and rng luck. Until/unless you farm the onion equipment off the late game dragons your best equipment is from the second town.
Having played ff5 and ff3, the job system is such a step down from ff5. At least all those jobs are different. like 90% of the jobs in ff3 are just better version of previous jobs.
As someone who found your videos due to the FFV 22 job challenge, I really enjoyed the content. Thanks for being one of the few bright spots of my 2024
I was about to comment the same thing. I love this channel
Same here
Hope 2025 is better for everyone.
Found your channel this year, and took to the solo job challenges like Lenna takes to poison. Thanks for the content and looking forward to 2025.
You're welcome. Thank you very much for the support.
I'm in the habit of putting on RUclips videos to fall asleep to. Thanks for 22 or so lullabies and dreams of Lenna binging on poison.

More seriously, it's great to see that you've been doing pretty well this year. Found you through FFV challenge vids, and you actually convinced me to purchase FFV even though I never played it seriously before.
I discovered your channel through your FF5 videos and I’m happy I did.
Found this channel this year and fell in love with your voice and humour 😆
As long as you're doing what you appreciate, I'll be here for the ride 🫡
A final fantasy tactics series? My most played PS1 game? Sign me the hell up!
Wait. Didn't he say he won't do that game along with Xenogears and Legend of Dragoon?
After the FF5 job marathon he just finished, I'm willing to bet he's pretty sick of Job challenges lol
Keep up the great content! I can't wait.
To those who also prayed for Braverly Default. One day we will have it our friends.
I'll add another stone to the "I'm here cuz of FF5 single job" basket. Glad yer considering FFT single job, that one's gonna be fun to see. And good luck on all the other stuff, I gotta see all the SMT ones, cuz I love that series too. Looking forward to another year.
The "low quality" FFV Single Job Challenge intro is honestly one of the things I liked most about it; it's short and to the point.
This has been a fantastic year, discovering your channel from the DS1 shield only challenge and going through the FFV job series with you, you’re amazing bro!! Here’s to many 2025 vids 🍻
Here's to hoping your channel will soar over the next year! Best of luck!

I particularly enjoyed when he memed with Drakengard 3 when using Bard and claiming four of the songs are actually the Intoners’ songs. It sort of makes me want to watch a playthrough of Drakengard 3.
Im gonna try and get more diversified content out next year. After Digital Devil Saga it's probably going to be Bloodborne to freshen things up.
Glad to see you got your physical copy! Scalpers deserve to be...scalped?
For real man. I checked awhile ago and it was like 350+ on Ebay. Absolutely ludicrous.

MMO's really are massive time sinks. Im kind of glad that I'm over them, but it would be nice to have something consistent to play wtih friends.
I also showed up for job challenges, really looking forward to FFT content.

Thank you for the amazing year, loved all your content
I have heard of it, but I've never played it. Maybe at some point I'll get around to it lol.
FF2 single Job challenges where you have to tailor your play to mold your characters into said Job archetype.
We'll see. I have no idea how FF2 even functions. I was simply crushed to death by an ogre last time I played.
Have you considered some of the Squaresoft Japan-only classics? If people are interested in watching Final Fantasy 5 runs, they might be interested in Front Mission, Bahamut Lagoon, and Seiken Densetsu 3.
You say 6 jobs in FF1 but there is good argument that the upgraded classes could count as their own. Could stretch it out to 12 vids.
I could easily watch about a hundred more FFV videos.
Phantasy Star?, Breath of Fire?
Maybe worth considering in 2026. I do like breath of fire 3...

I yearn for the inevitable Racing Lagoon episode.
Right now its just going to be USA releases but I'll look into JP Only stuff if it comes down to it. Maybe its time to relearn basic japanese...
@@BacklogBusterSo, what I'm hearing is that's a big yes for Ehrgeiz.
So is next up the FF3 solo job challenge?
I havent played FF3 yet. Once I beat it, then platinum it I'll make a determination.
I actually don't think it is possible to do a single job challenge for Final Fantasy 3, at least not the way you currently do it.
It'd be impossible for the parts where you get shrunk and have to use magic
If I have to cast mini and toad on the party thats just a place for a Red Loser Stamp.
When run out of Content, ff3 one job at a time series 👍
I believe Final Fantasy Dimensions also has a job system.
What is so bad about Xenogears?
Its just kinda boring. It put me to sleep multiple times when I tried to play it like 10 years ago now.
Chrono trigger would be awesome
I cant wait
same, gamerox.
Final Fantasy 3 really wants you to change jobs for certain bosses. It would be a slog for single job challenges honestly.
Having played ff5 and ff3, the job system is such a step down from ff5. At least all those jobs are different. like 90% of the jobs in ff3 are just better version of previous jobs.
I'll be here for Brave Fencer Musashi
Ill see if I can get through it this time around. I remember playing for a couple of hours and not continuing.
