I saw Women live A LOT back in the day; tried to catch every local show they played. I'll never forget the first time I saw them, the drummer was playing a standing kit while he was on stilts, standing close to 9 feet tall. He was banging away, keeping time like the metronome he is, the show was amazing. First thing I hear from the band the moment the show ends is the drummer yelling "I'm never doing this again" RIP to Chris RIP to Women Praise to Cindy Lee Praise to Preoccupations

What people don't realise is that on minute 26'00'' and further is that this concert is called 'Live Aid'. Live Aid was the biggest fundi raising live concert ever until that time (and maybe/probably still), for Africa !! (hunger and troubles in Africa). Bono kissed the forehead of coloured girl !!!!!! and he pointed for minutes and minutes !!!!! in the crowd that he wanted HER to pick out of the crowd. A lot of blonde girls came out of the crouwd, but he didn't want them. Also afterwards two girls where on the stage that he didn't point to. He pointed to that black girl, that he definitely didn't know, I believe symbolically because of what 'Live Aid' was doing !!! Standing for !! (with maybe 200 lillion people watching live on TV)... And after that he sings... I'm wide awake !! He surely was, as a performer (what a voice) and also on a moral level with his action in the crowd that took so long that the band only could play 2 songs, instead of 3. The band, who couldn't see Bono (Bono was in the front of the stage and the bandmembers or defintely the drummer couldn't see him...° was angy at Bono it seemed (I read that somewhere I think) that they couldn't play their biggest hit at that time, Pride. Yes, this is indeed a extemely beautiful and emotional moment. I saw that when I was young. A lot of people didn't undertsand that moment I believe... and still now, people still don't see it.

I like that you mentioned the 60s 70s vibe in the vocals cause that’s def a direct influence on the singer Pat Flegel! It’s more apparent in his solo work as Cindy Lee where the instrumentals aren’t always as abrasive and metallic as with Women. As a massive fan of the band, Women is definitely a band that grows on you haha happy to hear they might be gaining another fan

There's usually one or two females in her ensemble that play and sing harmony. Here there is also a full choir, each voice miced separately. .

This was a new Ava Maria collaboration with Igor Krutoy. Ava Maria a Christian song. Since Dimash is Muslim and Igor is Jewish they wanted a version that would appeal to all, regardless of religion.

Mitsuki is actually pronounce Mitski (but with an ee sound for both eyes) which is probably why she spells it like that :) nice reaction, i always love seeing ppl being introduced to Mitski! i definitely suggest checking out her lyrics, shes one of my favorite lyricists (albeit v sad)

This video is 4 months old....and I don't see any Aurora stuff after this. :( Any chance on doing more? She's a genius....seriously. THE ones to watch, hands down, are "It Happened Quiet" live @ The Current...and..."Lucky" live @ Nidarosdomen. Of course that's just the beginning and there's TONS more amazing stuff after that. But those 2 performances are excellent portals into the Aurora universe.
