Little confused as my Tepui has straps to hold the cover down in addition to the zipper, which I might add is waterproof. How does the MSR keep rain out when the tent is stowed if there's no weatherproof zipper around the perimeter of the cover? Good review, one should also take into account the price delta of both tents which is significant.

I have the 10.5 with Omega K cycles subs all day long. I did bore the gas port ever so slightly over for 100% reliability and lock back every time. Shooting Mead and Horn. Supers are 4” high at 100y as expected. Well worth the money. Ejects at 4 o clock

My design concern would be the sides not having any support, so I feel like any wind is just going to blow the winds in and out, in and out

I’m used to carrying everything on my back sleeping in the snow in a 1 lbs 2 person cuban fiber tent. That thing weighs a ton and the fabric looks extremely thick. I don’t understand how it’s not a 4 season tent.

I'm just thinking about the backstop of your firing range & how those cinder blocks could come in handy.

So i have a patio heater that runs on a BBQ lp tank. It has the Cousin Eddie sled top on it. That fits perfectly in my eazy up. There is plenty of room on the top, so nothing melts. And with walls at 15*F and wind, it will maintain 75 inside. That is with just a large tarp wrapped around and not the "official" side walls.

300blk is the quietest you’ll get and still have magnum pistol ballistics or greater. I just got one of these 7.5” for just under $300. I couldn’t believe the price so I snatched it up for a truck gun, and really really surprised how good it really is. I expected it to be trash but not at all!

Just wondering where the spot is that you did this video. I’m 60 years old, I’ve been dispersed camping most of my life . I’ve e been wondering about eastern plains dispersed camping now that I live in the Denver area (I lived in Summit County for 25 years prior). It looks like an ideal spot for me and my dog.

Great video! I just got the Allen Sports one and only realized this when trying to load the MTBs. I ended up loading them all in the same direction (instead of alternating as instructed in the manual), turning the handle bars a bit (like 45 degrees), or letting handle bars rest on each other. I needed to add padding here and there so that derailleurs don't touch the disc brake rotors etc. I thought about adaptor bars. Maybe I'm too paranoid but I feel there's a slight risk of seat post gradually coming off during long bumpy trips. Plus the connection is not tightened so the bike would go up and down on bumps.

My 10.5 300blk from BCA is really accurate too. It’s running MOA just like my BA 8in barrel. I did scrap the handguards and replace them with my preferred choice.

I have had this same canopy for a couple of years, was recently about to buy the tent to try with it for a quick, roomy setup on cub scout camping trips. Noticed the same issue you describe with the push-pole. While I was researching it, I came across some other (older?) versions of the canopy that don't use the push-pole, so I assume tent was never updated to work correctly with the canopy despite them still stating they are compatible. I deiced against this one, but did find a couple canopy-conversion tents with a flat inner roof that would probably work. In the end, I opted to spend a little more and get the Core 10-person cabin tent with full-body rainfly instead, not the quick setup I initially wanted but, I was also in the market for something that would hold heat in better for colder weather. I froze my wife out last the year prior in a Coleman Weathermaster 10, love this tent and it breathing well in summer, but it froze my family out in 40-45 degree fall weather.

Finally made it to the range and shoot my16 b creek 150 gr suppressed ,it's very accurate and I'm glade that I won't have to put an adjustable gas block on it .
