30 Min Outer Glutes Barre Workout//No Equipment
This bodyweight only outer glutes and hips strengthening barre workout will have you on fire 🔥!
No equipment is needed for this 30 minute mat barre class. The workout begins down on the mat in all 4s for a feel good warm up. We then move into single sided out glute work in a modified side plank position. Continuing to work the same side, we come down into a side lying position to focus on internal and external rotation. After reversing to the other side, class finishes with double leg work in a prone position and a feel good stretch.

    Omg I audibly yelled at you today! So sorry for the things I yelled at the screen today lol. This was maybe the most challenging one I’ve experienced in a while. I felt FIRE. And ofc I KNEW it couldn’t possibly be over until we did a double glute exercise to finish 😅 Thank you as always, Mary! If you’re taking suggestions, I’d love some more posture improving workouts. The doctor ordered it! ❤

    It’s so crazy that the most challenging moves are sometimes just body weight! The side lift glute move REALLY challenged me. I was definitely sweating at the end. Thanks, Mary! You make Mondays better ❤

    After the tricep pushups, the video stopped to buffer… while I was in that glorious child’s pose. Took me about two minutes before I realized you weren’t being that generous LOL. Another great full body, Mary. I think the abs set at the beginning felt like one of the most challenging I’ve done! Thank you ❤

      🤣🤣 You're thinking I'm being so generous - that would be very unlike me mid workout! So glad that it was an effective ab set for you. I love using the ball behind the low back like that - I have really gripey hip flexors and that just completely alleviates them for me!

      Yes! I like to think about drawing my sit bones together as I exhale. It's like an elevator hugging in and up towards your belly button. And then you reverse that on your inhale, relaxing and sending the elevator down. It definitely takes some focus and practice (at least it does for me!)

    I love these posture improving type workouts so much, Mary! The timing is spot on. Quick enough to squeeze in at lunchtime and finish the workday feeling a bit taller and more open.     I just did this and realized every time I finish your workouts, I actually say under my breath “That was awesome”. This is meant as a compliment- you look like and present yourself as a normal but fit, healthy, glowing woman with a real women’s body I might see at the gym, not all made up with perfectly done hair in skimpy workout clothes playing distracting music because she’s making a RUclips video. You keep it real and simple and that motivates me to work out at home when I can’t make it to the gym. I really appreciate that. Thank you
