    Every tuber I see demos this with small pieces of scrap, I've tried numerous times to get two reels matched with a couple of feet out of each, and it's been completely useless, filament flying out soon as it's soft, just too much hassle lol. I printed a guider off makerworld that made some attempt to hold the filament still. It's a bit gimmicky for me. I've since used the filament holder from makerworld and just a lighter using the blue part of the flame under the silicone. No clamping etc, I'll save my money and send this back. -Can you get PTFE with an ID of 1.75mm?

    • @ThePrintasaurus
      @ThePrintasaurus 50 минут назад

      I can understand that. It was a challenge initially to get the spools connected. I struggled more with older filament snapping but did get a spool together. I tried to use a filament winder that I had and that did not go as expected. I'm working on this one here to test with, I have had the majority of pieces already printed so this would be an easy addition to test with. I plan to do a quick follow up video on how that works as an option. makerworld.com/en/models/761631?from=search#profileId-696356 For PTFE tube the capricorn 1.75mm boden tube is probably the closest to a true 1.75mm ID.

    Alguien a conseguido solucionar el desvío que hace la sonda cuando se posiciona para hacer la medición en la compensación de temperatura? La mía se desplaza hacia la derecha casi al final de la cama y aunque me deja hacer la medición luego me da error diciendo que está fuera de rango cuando intento calibrar

    • @ThePrintasaurus
      @ThePrintasaurus 14 часов назад

      Did a Google Translate. So you have issues with the temp compensation. If so try and do your first calibration again to set the Z-offset. I had one person with a similar issue with the temp compensation. We figured out that by redoing the initial calibration it allowed the temp compensation to work properly. I apologize if I have translated wrong.

This is an excellent storage solution for the Mini. I love it. He is not lying about the Super Tack. I have 2. Bought one. Used it and bought another. Petg is the way to go. Black is always a easy color. I used Voxels Petg+ HS black (which prints awesome) and bambu's Petg HF in orange to add some highlight color. Voxels hardware kit is complete and makes thing simple not having to source your own parts. I have seen some very creative color schemes, sky's the limit. Thanks for this vid.. Ordered the sv08 and in the meantime learning/purchasing a lot about/for it. Is my 2nd printer in many years this seemed to me a good follow up. Today I'll get my new emmc so can do the mainline, when it arrives I can make a backup config files for the serial numbers.. install the new emmc in and install Klipper and rest on it. Then only thing left is flashing the toolhead..so from start getting the printer it will have mainline.then after first boot All the initial settings/calibrations will be done with having mainline. Lateron I'll get additional 3 toolheads and need to flash them too.. But that can wait for future project(multi toolhead). I will however try to get a long enough usb cable to get to the printer from my pc instead of a laptop because I only have my wife's laptop and I think this way I won't need it. 🤷 Have still to figure out how to download the instructions for printing from github😁Again thanks..

      Which plate are you using, which plate in your slicer? For the Frostbite is should be your textured plate. For the glacier it will be whichever sticker you put on. I turn the build plate detection off, and just set things up manually. I did have a few failures with the frostbite and getting the correct build plate reading. If you turn it off, just make sure you have your plates clear, and installed so you don't have any surprises. I have got busy and forgot to check once or twice and almost ran a print with no bed installed!!

    I have a question about temperature compensation, when I enter the command TEMPERATURE_PROBE_CALIBRATE PROBE=btt_eddy TARGET=56 STEP=4, does my toolhead automatically move all the way to the right and doesn't stop in the middle like it should? Did you home your axis's and then do a G0 Z5 before you ran your TEMPERATURE_PROBE_CALIBRATE PROBE=btt_eddy TARGET=56 STEP=4? Dont' forget to set your idle timeout either. SET_IDLE_TIMEOUT TIMEOUT=36000. You shouldn't have any movement on your x or y axis in this process. You should only be stepping down to set the z-offset at each temp range to allow the temperature compensation.

    • @ThePrintasaurus
      @ThePrintasaurus 18 дней назад

      When you set your offset what are you running to do that? Probe_calibrate? Or the sovol macro for Z-offset? I would run a Probe_calibrate, do the paper test to set your offset. Then before you do a save_config write down the offset you settled at. Then do your save_config. Go into your Printer.cfg all the way down to the ----- save config----- do not edit this block or below and see what is showing on in the probe section - that should show your correct offset. Trying to figure out some sort of common ground to help you troubleshoot. So I'm just curious what will be listed there. For the Bed Mesh, same deal towards the bottom of your Printer.cfg are you seeing a [bed_mesh default]? Or is it blank?

      That is a benefit to the super tack or BTT cryprogip plates I mentioned. You can really reduce the need for brims and things stay flat. An added bonus is typically if you happen to lose power your prints will release on a PEI plate once things cool. I have had some power work up the street recently and have lost power while printing for about 2 - 3 hours or so and the print never released and I was able to resume without issue. Just an added bonus to how well these plates hold.

The design on it is nearly flawless and the way it assembles is one of the things that make it so brilliant. • @ThePrintasaurus
      @ThePrintasaurus 19 дней назад

      Yes you could mount it the other way to keep the numbers the right direction. I did the opposite because I wanted to space the ams lite out a little more from the printer and having the cable at the bottom allowed a few more inches. If you want to print those numbers / ptfe support the link I provided has them in both directions, and without ptfe support if that is your preference. So ultimately you aren't missing anything. That was just my prefered mounting direction! Thanks for watching, and thanks for the comment! You are going to really like the A1 mini it's a fantastic printer.

    • @ThePrintasaurus
      @ThePrintasaurus 22 дня назад

      Yes you do have the probe point on the back of the build plate. If your migrating to mainline klipper, you have to setup all your sovol marcos to work again. So my mindset in this case was I didn't plan to use it as the recommended method for setting the offset with the eddy is the old fashioned paper test. Which works. Offset has stayed consistent with the Eddy probe, and I'm only resetting my offset when swapping nozzles. I'm actually in the process of reworking that back section to allow a purge bucket to purge, then clean the nozzle before prints. Thanks for the question / comment! And for giving my content a look.
