In this video, we take a trip back in time to explore the collaborative designs of Giugiaro and Seiko. Giugiaro’s ventures beyond cars began with a successful partnership with Nikon in 1980 with F3 and “red line” accents, broadening out into consumer products like pasta, clothing lines, sewing machines, and Parker pens. In 1983, the Seiko watch link-up arose, with the first design being the ana...

The recent to and fro between Shakira and Pique on whether one of them “traded a rolex for a casio” got me thinking. Would I ever consider trading in my own Rolex for a Casio, or indeed any other digital watches, and what would they be? These are my sele...

Excellent!
One of my favorite films is "Apocalypse Now" and one of my favorite actors was Richard Harris, so I'm glad to find he too sported a Willard. Mine's a Steeldive.
I have an independent c352 and man i love this watch, i use it daily and even in house and car fires and it keeps working like a dream
The ones with the calculator buttons on display are probably for 3 decades on the market and keep going. Try to beat that record. Most smartwatches after a year are ancient history.
Some of the ugliest watches i have ever seen No I understand why Casio one the game
You sound like BEN
What about seiko Triathlete s600-500a/b/c/d/e, sports 150 s600-5010a/b, and the seiko Super Runners s640-4000
My GO TO wristwatch since the 80s. CASIO for life
Not in production anymore ... How do you then get hold of one, Ebay or what ... Anyone, please ... 😊
love the auto light feature on my protrek 3500
The reason I fell in love with Casio isn't because I had one of their calculator watches in the 80's (the CA50 which specifically said to keep away from water), it was because Casio kept on innovating their watches adding cooler and cooler features to make them almost like smartwatches back in the 80's and 90's. I mean think about the times when most watches barely did anything beyond keeping time, and here Casio is adding universal remotes, scientific calculators, digital cameras, rolodexes (databanks), I mean it just felt like anything that could be put in a watch Casio would do it. The only thing I wish they'd have done that they never did was the color television in a watch. NHJ did it years later, but Casio already made LCD color televisions, you'd think Casio would have been able to do what NHJ did before NHJ did it.
Zo'r
Still wear mine everyday and it’s never had a service, and still keeps better than perfect time. Has patina but it gives it so much character. In my opinion these watches should be left as they are . Only service them if they really need it. 1971 and still running strong. 💪
❤🧡💚💙💜🤎💯💥 *_Very Nice Video on Vintage Digital Watches_* 💥💯🤎💜💙💚🧡❤
I wish I had all my Swatch watches that my girlfriends in high school took from me and never gave back
Your channel reminds me of the old RUclips - driven by passion. I truly hope you won't stop creating, although your last video was from one year ago
@@KrystianWlr I’m still here! Just focused on another passion of running for an extended period which has meant limited time for RUclips. Still proud of the back catalog though - so if you’ve not looked through it then hopefully there is more insight ahead!
PRT-1GPJ and PRT-2 are giving big Poketch vibes
a CIV themed video on digital watch history.. I just stumbled upon your channel, but I have a feeling I will like it a lot :D
@@oryoruk plenty more in the back catalog. I got a bit niche with the theme on this one!
Saya punya W 47 modul 549

Hello my friend, how are you? I would like to know some information about the size of this model. I have a Shark Freestyle like the one in the video, but the module is leaking. Do you know if there is any watch model that will fit? I believe the GShock dw5600 module will fit, but I don't have one like it to test... If you can help me I would be very grateful, because I am from Brazil and here we don't have access to these super cool models🙏🇧🇷
Casio will release an updated version of this watch on 2200.
I wonder why there is no casio solar model discussed in this video 🤔 but nevertheless its a brilliant recap!
Interesting video as always. On the 1st of the 2 pics of modern Lorus watches at the end I spotted I have an Armitron branded version of the one top row 2nd from left.
This is a very nice and informative overview of history touching on key points! Thank you. Would you have any interest in doing shorter videos on some of the unique subsets mentioned? Like one for the triple calendar, or one for the divers. In my opinion, Citizen's diver offering destroys Seiko's. There are several Citizen's that are so rare. You can find a 52 MAS without much difficulty.
Vintage Citizen watches are amazing. Under appreciated, misunderstood, and lack of knowledge by most people.
so nothing is really new..
Citizen's Eco Drive watches are my favorite ( especially the Titanium ones) every day watches. I recently just bought a mens "The Signature Collection" automatic from ebay. This watch beats my Orient Star, mid range Swiss watches, & various Seiko watches hands down in terms of attention to detail, finish, & value. This brand has the best ranges of watches period!!
Casio watches are sooo ugly looking.
Straight up junk. I'll stick with my $2 Chinese smartwatch
Do you have any recommendations for a newer models similar to reef gear. The Reef geer is my everyday watch before.
great vid
Great video! Love Citizen. A Power house in the watch industry. Didn't they acquire Accutron? A friend of mine gave me a AquaLand; real unique watch.
SUGGESTION: RETRO RETURN!!!!
