    Glad to hear your opinion on CF and LR: they are beautiful. My soft-spot for Malle and Ropion is no secret, but I have issue with the dry-down of CF, too creamy too clean, too generic; when the enfant prodige at 27 y.o. created Ysatis, the drydown was all another story..I prefer Moon Bloom by Hiram Green (excluding vintage Fracas). Tubereuse Criminelle is unsurpassed from a man's stand-point. Lipstick Rose is a funny scent: an interesting comparison will be with Incarnata by Anatole Lebreton. I got lucky and a friend brought samples of all Aphorysmes by Ropion: they are very good, a couple extremely good. Hope you get a chance to sample them. Cheers.

Information is what I seek, reasons to keep spilling shillings steadily; I hear and tell not of fragrant gimmicks meant for plebians, But of supposed tasteful elegance and daring stench wrapped up in supremely blended, misty buns Got some classics, hidden gems, og chypre and aromatic fougere vibes; one is looking to widen the scope of the nose resting below these eyes 👁️👃👁️ Rien - État Libre d'Orange : dark, aldehydic incence, leather & amber - the theme sort of reminds me of Scorellini Dahn Oudh Al Shams - Ajmal : pure hardcore hindi oud, affordable & natural - I wonder what you'd think of this one! Amir One - Ajmal : fougere with a spoonful of oud - heard great things but never tried Anubis - Papillon : dark, resinous leather & florals I got this recently and would love your take on it if you like this sort of a thing: Aromatics Elixir - Clinique : daring vintage-esque chypre, got an old, bottle filled with deep amber juice and it is so much fun, medicinal, smoky, floral, mossy, animalic/bodily touches... This one is for the big boys and big girls for sure

    With ambers being so oversaturated it really causes a headache choosing which to wear. I dunno about you Daniel but I get stressed about wearing the wrong perfume then wishing I chose something else like an hour later 😂😂 with your collection that feeling must be intense. Grand Soir is amazing, glad you let it grow on you. My SOTD today in -2 weather, inspired by this review. ❤

    Hi, would you recommend this and/or Artik Sea for a woman? I’m on the hunt for a marine perfume (seaweed specifically) and have tried Megamare and Acqua di Sale only to find them to smell exactly like men’s cologne and not at all like the sea. I’m on the fence about Artik Sea and Black Sea as I worry they’ll also be 100% men’s fragrance, especially because I’ve only seen men review them. Also would they also smell synthetic if Megamare smells purely synthetic to me?

    • @SeldomlyOften
      @SeldomlyOften День назад

      @@Su-mx7ix Black Sea is not for you, has the same vibe as Acqua di Sale but heavier and more fishy. Artik Sea is great but still kind of synthetic smelling and not too too far off Black Sea. Try out Zoologist Seahorse, you’ll love that.

    Great review! I had a decant which I gifted to my wife's grandmother knowing that she would appreciate it and now I'm missing it. Truly a perfume fitting of the overused phrase, 'mass pleaser'! I can also picture it on almost anyone.

      @@SeldomlyOften Synthetic, indeed. When I first smelled it, I definitely noticed its synthetic nature and coldness - they made it feel weird to me, slightly reminiscent of freshly washed laundry brought in from the frost. Yet, I couldn’t stop smelling it. Modern? Perhaps it’s in a similar realm as Ganymede. At the same time, I can imagine a romanticized version of Dracula stepping out of his coffin smelling like this. It feels lifeless. (Just to clarify-it’s not my favorite)
