Having smelled both the edp and extrait version, I'll let you know that they're basically 100% the same - the differences are very minimal, so where the edp might be "35% apple, 40% peach, 10% saffron and 15% rum" then the extrait wukk be the exact same except a few percentages being shifted. It's all the same notes, but the balance is slightly more shifted towards peach and rum with a stronger vanilla backing than the edp. The extrait is extremely strong and will last 24+ hours - Strong projection for the first 4-8 hours, and then still radiating within an arms length after that. I would've liked a bit more of a smoky or rough tobacco similar to tabac nomade by houbigant, to offset the sweetness, but that's just me.
@@SeldomlyOften The tobacco in the extrait isn't that much more prominent in terms of balance, it is still this sweet tobacco, almost candy-like tobacco, so it doesn't really have anything to contrast because both the vanilla and the tobacco is sweet. if you smell it and I tell you "this is tobacco", then you'd be able to pick it out and be like "okay", but if you were to think 'tobacco', then the smell you get in Triumph of Bacchus isn't really what you'd expect since the sweetness is kind of seeping into every aspect of the fragrance.
@@SeldomlyOften A good one I can recommend, is the one I mentioned before; Houbigant - Tabac Nomade. @@JJplaysGuitar yeah, that’s my general sentiment as well.
Lot of French brands does same. They just copy designer fragrances and put in thier fancy bottles.
@ it’s absolutely not limited to American, it’s just the general lazy attitude
This year the biggest trend has been releasing an „elixir“ for everything that sells well for triple the price.
@ that too.. I really hate low effort manufacturing. Fortunately some brands out there keep being innovative 👍
came for the frag review , stayed for the cutie
@@joshuarock4631 😂
Word of the day: cheap 😂
@@Kylinmere yeah I know, sad part it that it’s for everything except for the actual price 😂
@@SeldomlyOften unfortunately there seems to be quite a few of those on the market ☹️
I will first write that this whole house is a rubbish youtube free bottle house. Quality and creativity is far below the price. Triumph of baccus is the air refreshener, not a perfume.
Than i will watch the review
You know I agree with you :D
Playing devil's advocate, not everything on the market has to be artistic and high quality, not everyone is as demanding, and it's ok.
Thanks as always ☺
While I do not like Triumph of Bacchus the start of your video clearly shows a prejudice towards a scent made in USA and by Eastern European person - you should have made an effort to learn their name not dismissively speak about them. Pretty disappointed by this video.
@@genata13 I have zero issues with made in the USA, a lot of my favorite houses are from there. I just don’t like the tacky stereotypical approach. You are right about the name, I tried to remember it before the video but it slipped my mind when recording. Sorry about that
I don’t think there’s anything to be sorry about… 😅
@ for the US stuff I have nothing to sorry about, I love most products and have nothing against any specific manufacturing nation. I’m sorry I forgot the guy’s name and didn’t make an effort to go back to check.
Bro...THIS WHOLE REVIEW IS TRASH!!!😂😂😂
Moving on....
Well, I feel I’m being pretty fair despite having a point of view. It’s a pleasant likeable scent that is fairly simple.

@@Principemostprincipe you know I think the same way 😂
That being said, playing devil’s advocate, not everything has to be super complex and artistic, not everyone is looking for intention and meaning. And that’s ok.
What bugs me is that the house comes across as pretentious.
@ for the retail price paying like what, 280€ per 100 ml. Should be way more unique, i own lots of simple fragrances, what bothers me is a complete uncreativity
@@SeldomlyOften there is a fragrance called wild temptation - nightology. More refined version of triumph of baccus, can be easily bought on discounters for 100€. Way better blended than triumph of baccus.
