It's very amusing to hear a brand called Argos in the UK. Over here it is a discount catalogue shop. It probably limits its kerb appeal over here, which is a shame as it looks incredibly well crafted. The bottle alone looks like it should be in a gallery.

I've spent about a week so far with Danae and I said the same thing it has the apple accord from boss bottled intense almost but it comes off rich and boozy off my skin. It's very stunning and I absolutely love it

I love the presentation of all things Argos but the bottle for Danae is gorgeous. CP really did the damn thing AGAIN. I love the scent as well it’s different then what I was expecting from the house but in a good way. I think it’s great
I need to smell it to remind myself but I’m pretty sure I got like a rich creamy sweetness as well

They sent me a free sample of this with triumph of bacchus and i tried it for the first time today... the dry down on this is AMAZING - may get a 30ml bottle. debating because the cold is almost done but might be able to pull this off in the spring too. we will see

JC, another great one from Argos is BACIO IMMORTALE. Not sure if you've tried it before but it's a good one. I know how much you like Argos so if you haven't tried it yet you should, I think you would really enjoy it. One thing about Argos is they have some of the best looking bottles that's for sure! Their presentation is always top notch! 👍🏼

Just received this in the mail two days ago. House of Argos is definitely on an elite level of fragrance production. This new fragrance from Argos smells GREATTT!! From the opening to the dry down your left with an olfactory blitz of pure elegance.

Got a sample of this with my Argos Triumph of Bacchus purchase. Smells just like Chanel Allure Homme to me. Not a fan since I already have Allure Homme & Sport since 2012 haha
It's like mixing a little Rochas Man with Allure Homme by Chanel.
I studied Greek myth so I already know the story of Danae. Will be curious to see what the perfumer did with it though.(I am writing this only after 1:49 into the video.

Would you recommend this one over the one which I recently saw in one of the videos titled under the series ‘Fragrances that make Grace go wild’

Had a chance to sample this fragrance recently. My wife and I both love it. The rubberiness that you reference early in the review. She detects as pickles. Lol. Similarly though, she enjoys that peculiarity and the intrigue. Her quote to me was" just buy it!" Another great video!

Justin, have you ever smelled Eight & Bob Egypt? To me it has a similar vibe as Danae... I could be wrong, that's why I'm asking you if you have put your nose on it because your nose is way more developed than mine lol
I have Egypt and I love it. They definitely have similar facets, but Egypt smells more mature overall.

I recently picked up Egypt, bought it blind and when I smelled it I was like wait a minute I have smelled something similar lol so needless to say I absolutely love Egypt as well. Do you think it would be redundant to own both?
I like how Argo is a Greek word, there is Greek key around the cap but yet Egyptian symbols used. Confusing 😂 but thanks for the review and will definitely be trying this one

Évidemment une envie irrépressible de l'essayer hélas très cher. Bien sûr les produits de qualité ont un prix et j'avoue que le type qui analyse la fragrance est extrêmement intéressant. Je suis tout de même encore sous le choc d'un parfum qui porte mon nom. Et d'entendre mon nom à répétition est pour moi quelle chose d'inusité car c'est un nom extrêmement rare et dans ma vie jamais rencontré personne qui le portait.

I sprayed it last night and it was instant love!! The very first smell of it I thought of Triumph of Bacchus. But it was just a fleeting second before it morphed into something different.
Edit: Ha I wrote that before i watched your thoughts. I had exact same thoughts on first smell. Also had issues with the cap. I took the whole sprayer top off but it snapped back on no problems. I agree with that hard to explain note. Robbery leather makes sense.
