I love the way you make these reviews, its definitely more interesting, in-depth and fun than most breakdown reviews. Hope you make one for silver musk, I always thought that's a hell of a clean smell perfume !
I have Baraonda and I agree that it's perfectly wearable, as it doesn't come off as super boozy. Some reviewers say that you'd smell as if you just had a few shots... they are just exaggerating for attention. I smell a mild honey infused whiskey note mixed with an accord which is similar to the smell of the inner part of a cork. It is unisex, all seasons perhaps a bit better for the colder months. Anyway, Fantomas is another must try from Nasomatto. Often overlooked, but very peculiar and great if you like fruity frags.
I totally agree on your observations on Baraonda 💪 Fantomas is soon to be sampled in a first impression comparison with something else really exciting…
One of the best reviews of this fragrance I've seen. Always been a fan myself, alongside Duro. Although the lack of notes really does turn any new release into a true blind buy. 😄 Interesting business model. Appreciate it Dan!
My relationship with this fragrance is a love/hate one. I absolutely love the smell. There's almost a honey-ed rose and sandalwood smell that makes it feel like a liquor casket that's been drenched in the natural sticky sweetness from whisky. On the other hand, I hate the fact that I don't smell that much whisky! People around me definitely get the whisky vibe but my nose does not perceive it asides from the opening. Still, my favorite boozy scent ever. I have Overture Man coming in the mail so we'll see if Baraonda gets dethroned. Thank you for your consistently good reviews!
@@lyttoncano5723 well, that’s pretty much it, the whiskey vibe you are looking for is in the alcohol evaporating and this one doesn’t have much of that, especially being an Extrait. Hope you like Overture because it’s similar in this department.
I totally get that! I find the most realistic whiskey perfume I've experienced is Whiskey & Cedarwood by Jo Mallone. I had never considered the fact that the concentration would make it less boozy but that makes perfect sense!
This is something special. First wear and it’s very wow inducing. I’ve had zero experience with whiskey, or alcohol in general. Just know what an old English pub smells like from passing by or going in a few times, but that’s very beer centric which is very yeasty and fermented. Due to that, I don’t get any alcohol in this and the imaging around this scent doesn’t connect with me. It smells like a caramel sweet slightly fermented wood with some lovely flowers. Amazing winter scent, not as aggressive as angels share. It kind of reminds me of jazz club in a way which I last smelled 7-8 years ago and didn’t like. Dior homme parfum. baraonda & tuxedo this winter for me. ( I know it’s hyped but it’s amazing please try it!)

Finished my bottle earlier this year, and this fragrance is so good that i am actually thinking of doing 3rd repurchase in my life after black orchid and fleur du male. Can be found in facebook groups for about 80€ and 30 ml bottle lasts a really long time. Vanille havane is a good fragrance but i find tobacco vanille as a staple for this kind of dna
I haven't had Tobacco Vanille in my collection for a really long time now, I remember enjoying it though as it also was one of my introductions to Tom Ford.
