SO GOOD
My hero. Didn’t know this was possible 😭😭😭
At last 😭
But on the text box, the position label show you precisely where the cursor will be on the ruler. Isn't that what initially you wanted to do???
Fair point. I just find it easier to look at the playhead instead of the numbers.
Why don't they reprogram the software and bring that text box below the ruler? I want to see thr box and ruler at the same time
For real tho
Thanks for making this video. But too much talk man. Audio samples, hearing is believing. Just my $0.02. Thx.
Thanks for your feedback!
Brooooooooooooo THANK YOU!!! That is one of the dumbest things ever and it’s shows the blind spot the programmers have to the practical side of Logic
You are welcome!
The visualizer in the logic compressor has always slightly confused me. I wish there was a way to pop it out and expand it I guess. It’s not like it’s Horrible, but it would be nice if they overhauled it to make it even better 😀 or easier for my blind ass to see/understand how much my changes are effecting the signal.
Yeah I agree. A way to expand the view of it would be great.
YESSSSS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED THIS GUY IS THE BEST
Thanks buddy!
@@sangstersounds welcome bro
wow. this course looks awesome. you explain things so well. I can’t wait to check it out.
Thanks man! I would be honored if you checked out the course.
Very helpful. Thank you!
You are very welcome!
Great breakdown! Thank you Chris!! Well Done!
Thanks so much!
Amazing video mate, thanks a lot!! I just have one question, is there any way to set up which tracks to export in mono and which in stereo, without having to export the mono files manually one by one? I know that at the end of the day, it probably doesn't matter if my mono kick is exported as a "stereo" file that sounds mono, I would just like it for my OCD 😅😅 thanks again 😃
Unfortunately no. This is a real oversight in Logic Pro imo. It definitely doesn’t change the sound to have a mono track appear as a stereo track on export/import but it is annoying. I’ve used programs like Stereomonoizer in the past to convert the stereo files to mono after export but now I mostly just live with it.
If you're using a producer drum kit in Logic, would you say it's best to somehow bounce all the drum tracks to midi or audio regions first before sending to a mixer, even if the mixer uses Logic?
No I would just leave the producer kits as is. They should transfer to your mixer’s system just fine since they are Logic stock.
I get annoyed extremely easily, and your video/voice is nowhere close to annoying. I found your video to be extremely useful and helpful. ♥
Thanks so much! Glad to help
thank you!!!
You’re welcome!
Everything annoys me in Logic Pro 😂
I just wanted to ask what else annoys you, but you just said „everything“, so the answer would be too long. 😜 I love Logic!
OMG this is an amazing video. I really thank you for pushing my nose onto these different approaches ... I can almost feel some creative sauce brewing in my guts ... time to go to my home-studio ... 😜
Awesome!! I’m honored I could inspire you to make music! That’s what this is all about
CMD+R is something I needed for a LONG TIME!!
A crucial one for sure!!
Phase shift explained very well, thank you!
Thank you sooooo much for this!!! Loving the attention to detail, every piece of knowledge comes with the history!
Thanks so much!!
This is great insight and very helpful thank you!
Thanks buddy!
Hah you are so right! A couple these have had me scratching my head for sure!
You and me both pal!
Great video thank you!! Didn’t even know about the analog obsession or the Tokyo dawn plugs. 🎉
They are great!
Graciaaaaaaaas
You’re welcome!
Beautiful and so neat!
Thanks so much!
Thanks! Is there any significant difference between 163X and 163A? Have pair of 163A and wondering are they as good as 163X..
I’ve never used the 163a so I can’t say for sure but I imagine they offer a similar value proposition but perhaps with a slightly different flavor to the tone. DBX generally makes solid gear so I’d give them a go for sure
Hey, Can you make a full song mixing and mastering on Dolby atmos on logic pro?
Thanks for the suggestion! I definitely want to make some content on Dolby Atmos in Logic in the future!
@@sangstersounds I will be waiting for that bro
Logic is the best and so is this guy he’s amazing highly recommended
Thanks buddy!
@@sangstersounds always brother
Damn feature has a mind (or mindlessness) of its own. Thanks Chris!!! Are you related to Johnny up here in Seattle?
Haha you are welcome! Not that I know of but I might be!
I was searching around online trying to find out if there was some hidden way to access the limiting going on with Mastering Assistant and your video confirmed for me that there are no limiter controls to be had? (just ridiculous). The plugin sounds good, but Apple really needs to open it up and give us some detailed pro controls on the entire output section as you suggest and I agree with everything else you are saying about the myriad of shortcomings with the plugin. Hopefully Apple will do something about it. ~Thanks
Yeah sadly there are no manual limiter controls. I would be much more likely to recommend or possibly use mastering assistant if it had even basic manual limiter controls.
This is great! Just sub’d. 👍🏻
Thanks so much! Glad to have you here
In my opinion, it’s best to learn all of the default native key commands for each DAW. do not alter the default key commands to your custom key commands. when I work at some one else’s studio, I can still remain competent with my workflow on their machines.
I agree! In the long term it is definitely best to learn the native ones. But to ease that transitional period especially if you have a lot of work to do this feature is super handy.
Awesome content! 👍
Thanks so much!!
Thank you!
You are welcome!
thank you for being so kind and awesome man!! got me subscribing just from being yourself. It’s fantastic. God bless you. I love you, man.
Thanks so much! Glad to have you here
I just forgot to press record on an audio recording... tried Shift R but I guess for vocals it doesn't work :(
Unfortunately it only works for midi not audio.
awesome vid, really helped, tysm!! subbed :)
Thanks so much! Glad to help!
By doing this the mixing engineer will not hear anything level wise close to your rough mix correct? If he pulls up a session that is essentially your rough mix it will be easier on him and closer to what you were hearing correct?
Yes that is correct. Some engineers prefer to have a clean slate so to speak to start from and others prefer to pick up from where you left off. Always ask your engineer what they prefer when you are initially discussing the project. That will determine whether you need to send multitracks or your session.
there is a way that melodyne will browse faster, you press the transfer button, then press bounce the audio track you want. then press command Z to go back. now melodyne has finished browsing without you having to wait. this saves a lot of time without using ara rosseta. you should try it❤
Holy! You’re so helpful your channel deserves more subscribers
Thanks so much! Glad to help!
could you explain it for cubase please?
Sorry I’ve never used Cubase!
Nice! I have a pair of these I recapped, definitely helped with the noise of the unbalanced I/O
Oh nice! Great tip. It can be a bit noisy
Thanks for advice ❤
You are welcome!
Sorry bro…Slate sound massively/fuller than analog obsession imo.
Seems like sunken cost fallacy, listening with your eyes, and not comparing like for like. Do a blind, gain-matched test and I guarantee you won't be able to tell the difference 99% of the time.
Nothing wrong with preferring one over the other!
@@jorgemartinez42069 of course not. Im working every day in my studio. And, like you observing new/free plugs to optimize workflow. For me, its not good enough sounding plug.
yes i will like to see a video of the process of recording
Check out my page! I have released a full recording video.
Really interesting approach and gave me a lot of new mixing ideas
Awesome! Glad to hear it!
I have used the Tokyo Dawn plugins for years they are very good, i highly recommend looking at their other free plugins.
The only problem with freebies from a non major established company is that you have no idea for how long those plugins will be around and maintained...
After the last few years, you can't really claim that will be true for big paid companies either. At least not witbout paying big bucks sometimes.
Good point! Such is life with all digital products these days…
Soundpaint sampler is very good too
Thanks for the suggestion I’ll have to check that out!
