Am I the only one who took the quiz? 🤔 I got 4 out of 5. Missed Track Stack. But I right click and turtle scroll down to it. Yes, Chris! I like the format. The quiz reinforces what you remember! Looking forward to the next video, Gianni❤
I need to get used to that track stack one. I’m still menu diving for that. My newest and most favorite short cut is while editing midi you can press shift/option and click on the velocity slider and it will make all selected midi the same velocity. Great for editing midi drums quick.
Yeah zoom definitely could have been included in this video but its almost a whole topic unto itself in Logic with so many ways to do it! Great tip on using cmd + R in the piano roll!
You mentioned UAD console and I’ve been wondering if recording through those vintage console and EQ emulations is really different than applying them after the fact in the DAW. Any thoughts?
There is no difference in sound quality in applying them in the console and recording them or applying them in Logic after the fact. I like the UAD because it allows me to monitor with 0 latency and also build a pretty robust channel strip for monitoring. I don't actually print the plugins I am using in Console to Logic I just use them to have a great, 0 latency sound in my cans when recording. If I want to use those plugins as the final sound for the part, I put them on the channel strip in Logic.
CMD+R is something I needed for a LONG TIME!!
A crucial one for sure!!
Great vid!!! Love your way of explaining everything! Thanks man!!
You are welcome! Glad you found the video helpful!

Thanks for the feedback Gianni! And thanks for taking the quiz! Hopefully you will remember cmd + shift + D now!

Yes! That is a crucial shortcut. Another one of my most used!
Nice! Only 1 year in Logic and a little of point and click here!
Thanks! Glad to have you here! Let me know if there is something specific you would like to see covered that would help you in your Logic journey!
Great Video !!!
Thanks so much!

The zoom still drives me crazy.
Command R also works in the piano roll
