Wow! beginner logic user here. loved the way you breakdown each process very comprehensible. I've subscribed already looking forward to more of this cheers
Awesome! Thanks so much. Glad to have you here
I have always been limited by my inability to play instruments. Or better yet, I can hear the notes, but I can’t find them on the guitar or keyboard. I said a goal to write and record a new song this weekend and this tutorial is exactly what I need. I love your approach, and your pacing. It kept my attention and offered information and consumable bites. That’s a hard baby to split right there. Thank you so much.
Thanks so much!! I’m glad you found the video helpful and good luck with your new song!!
OMG this is an amazing video. I really thank you for pushing my nose onto these different approaches ... I can almost feel some creative sauce brewing in my guts ... time to go to my home-studio ... 😜
Awesome!! I’m honored I could inspire you to make music! That’s what this is all about
Great, inspiring and somehow logical. If you don’t want to get the usual boring stuff allow yourself to enjoy unconventional methods to get different results. Often that’s a lot quicker and definitely more satisfying to listen to. It’s worth it and a lot of fun to risk failure.
Well said! Thanks so much!
Wow am subscribing right away.. After a long time of using logic you show ed me a new trick . Thanks
Awesome! Thanks so much!
I actually love your beatbox, sung parts and guitar version. Your engaging (and sometimes self effacing) presentation style is educational without stresses with a very easy to absorb pace. Many thanks Chris 🙏💌

Cool alternative to buying the vochlea dubler 2. Thanks for sharing!!! Most in-depth tutorial I’ve seen yet. Can you do more of these? And music in genres?
You’re very welcome! That’s a great idea. I’ll have a think on how to incorporate more genre specific content in the future.
That is crazy!!! Love it!

Is there a way to convert a drum kit performance to midi? As in, I have a friend who can play some drums for a track, but he's not set up to record more than a couple of mics, but I'd love to convert his idea to midi and replace the recorded drums with samples.
Yes and no. It’s much trickier than melodic stuff. You can get the kick and snare pretty reliably with the drum replacement feature (control D). But the hi hats and cymbals are much more complicated. I’ve seen some tutorials about importing the drums into sampler and using that to create midi but honestly I don’t fully understand this workaround. I just don’t think there is a reliable workflow for it in Logic at the moment.
4:20 Um… Hawk Tuah theme song meme anyone? ;)
Haha I have never heard that but I’ll take any meme bump I can get 😭
