Question are you a teacher at LA Film School? I watched tutorials all the times and your voice sounds really similar to my courses
I used to be a Program Manager for the Music Production Online program at LAFS, yes. I developed most of the courses in their BSMP-O degree and several courses in their ASMP-O degree. So you've likely heard my voice there! :) @@djskindymix
@@MusicTechHelpGuy nice it’s definitely your voice
First of all, and this isn't the first time I've said this, you're the best. So many of us are grateful for what a fantastic teacher you are. And second, yes, I would love to learn more of the arpeggiator tricks you have up your sleeves. Cheers!
You’re not wrong! There’s a small group of people who make amazing videos fully focused on teaching and unlocking logic! This is definitely S tier content!
@@BittaminIt truly is incredible what Logic has on tap if you take the time. Its price point looks like a steal once you explore.
Yea, i definitely want the 20 more tips you have!!!
More like this please! We already have enough videos all over RUclips that talk about the basic functions of all the Logic plugins. Let's see more videos on actual creative application and "out of the box" thinking when it comes to using all these plugins, that's what's actually sorely needed.
facts, this was fun!
I hope you know, you’ve taught a whole generation of producers and beat makers. The OG RUclips tutorial page. You have 100s of thousands of people who are so grateful to you.
Cool tips. 👍👍 I'd certainly like to see more deep dives into the arpeggiator.

I agree….loving this
I broke my right wrist knocking me of live recording…so gotten creative and found Arpeggiator is a powerful tool.
I love using pulsating stereo rhythms to build up the second half of my songs and this thing nails it. Definitely something I recommend spending time with even as a multi instrumentalist.
Hey Josh, thanks for this. Definitely would love to hear more arp tricks. This is not any pressure as I'm sure life as a youtube creative is a bit more than nuts but for the past six years as I've learned to use Logic you have been the constant. Your videos are always perfectly edited and well organized. Whenever I open RUclips I look to see if there is a new video from you. When you went dark for a bit I was actually concerned that something bad might have happened!! You are a valuable resource and want you to know that your value as an educator cannot be overstated. Please keep up the fine work and wishing you all the success at whatever pace keeps you sane and happy!
I love to see more arp. tricks. I never knew you could drag the length of the notes even though I've usef the arpeggiator quite a lot 😅
Yes Please! Lets have the rest of the tricks and tips. Got a lot out of this one. Thanks
This was awesome! More please - especially tips on combining the arp with the other MIDI FX
It’s funny you always have some creative ideas that actually inspire me onto totally new and different creative ideas
For example, after watching this video, it dawned on me that if I take a vocal sample and bring it to the sampler synthesizer, so it becomes midi and then I apply the arpeggiator… you can create some very cool glitch, vocals that are so popular with all of the kids nowadays
YES! More Arp tricks.
This is great as these tips are not just restricted to Logic. These concepts can be applied in so many different ways!! This was actually a music production tutorial! Would like to see more of your arp tutorials!! ❤❤
The last bit was interesting with the summing stack!

Music tech help guy!!! The only the source of perfect information for logic because its obvious he's the only one who read the manual 😅
Incredible work! Definitely wishing to see more of it! Thank you! ❤
Amazing as always. Would love to see the 20 more!
these were great tips! the arp tips were awesome but midi on the track stack was a major surprise to me, can’t wait to implement it!
You just helped me re-create everyone of my favorite songs from the eighties - LOVE IT THANKS
Great video and definitely more please 👍
This is fantastic! More please!!!
Outstanding. Thanks, Josh.
Those are some crazy cool ideas. Very creative.
As we all know, sometimes less is more. Not when it comes to some more tips though.
Your videos pretty much always inspire me to dive deeper and explore possibilities. Thanks!

First tip.... exactly what I was looking for... Timely posting for me. Thanks mate !
Thank you so much this is a great refresher
Thank you for the video, super useful and a real eye opener to me on how to use the arp in logic. I would certainly like some more videos on the arp in logic. I have used it to make plucking guitar lines that sounded great in the mix.
Great tips and tricks! Thank you!
Thank you for a very helpful video. It’s a game changer!
Great video! Would love to see more tricks like this please 👍
Brilliant! Thanks
Loved it, give us more!
This is great - would love to see more on the same subject
Great video. I’d love to see more. Thanks.
Great tips. More on the arpeggiator would be fantastic please.
Great and insightful -thanks
Keep em ‘ coming!
Very cool and helpful!
Great video! Yes please, more arp tricks!
I like to automate the note length of a sequence with a dotted delay on it. Really builds tension over time!
Thanks bro, this is what i am looking for. ❤
Thank you for the best tips 🙏🙏🙏
Another fun thing you can try is creating ambient chords with the arpeggiator. Basically, set the rate really low, e.g. several seconds between steps. Then, use an LFO with a random square wave, also at a very low rate, to modulate the arp rate and create some rhythmic variety. Use this combination to control a nice reverby synth pad and you're on your way to an ambient track. Great video as always!
Excelent tips, many thanks!
Thank you so much, Josh!! You are the best guide for us through the world of Logic Pro X. Please could you explain how to use an arpeggiator to create a part for orchestral instruments and piano, for example in blues and soul?
You are amazing and awesome 🙌
Thank you Sir 🙏👏👏
Thanks a lot. Its very interesting for me.
Fantastic!!!!
Glad to see Logic is catching up with synth tools! I migrated to Live, now with these I want to come back
You’re so logical (excuse the pun) in how you deliver each video and indeed each series. A mini series in Arpeggiators would be excellent. I’d buy it, share it.
I like to chop up a beat in quick sampler, then have the arp trigger the slices making beats I may not have thought of 👍🏿
my man!!! as an electro funk freak i salute you!! 🙏🏼🙏🏼
Great, thank you, yes please, more arp trix
Very useful. Thanks.
More of this please.
Insane fam finally a face with all the classwork LOL. that's crazy LAFILM student here.
Bruh life changing
We Appreciate You Brother!
Loved this. Especially the last example. I need help learning the note by note arpeggiator please
thanks great tips, want more
bro, thanks as always! can someone tell me how he can explain everything so well when almost no one else seems to be able to make things clear? excellent teaching
Very Helpful Video
Brilliant! Thanks…
nice.I learn something new every time I watch this channel. we are learning Ableton at school right now and i gotta say, that is completely different from logic. Jason D is doing a great job, although, logic will be my forever love. would it be cool if i share my soundcloud beats here?
Very cool stuff :)
You amazing bro
bruh I love your teaching style! I followed your music theory playlist on here (it was phenomenal), and am wondering if you offer a paid course focused on music theory?
thank you very much
Thank you for sharing and yeah,,,,,,, 20 more tips ,,🥳🥳
Thanks, Sure I’d like to here more😊
great stuff. can you show how to do random arpeggiator over many bars.
Some great info there, particularly liked how you used Track Summing Stacks. Question: can you do the same trick with audio regions? As in, putting audio in the stack master but processing the same audio differently on each track below? I can see interesting applications for the same guitar part going to different amps, or useful automations using Step FX and similar. Possible? Or just with MIDI?
solid
Genius
Thanks. Can you explain how create a specific rhythm, for example a tango rhythm, using the arp?
I use arpeggiator on my drums sometimes haha
Enjoyed and learned.
Logic 'Divine Waves'. Is that base or purchased soundpack? If so from where, please?
NIce!
Cheers
when Logic Pro add Virtual Guitar Track, will be amazing !
..please make video how to make a tech house bass with the arpeggiator.(like sting in ableton)....regards
I Like.
Josh, can we make realistic guitar arps ?
Please teach me how to snap automation to grid?
Have they still not changed the ES2 interface?!?! it's 1 pixel by 3
In cre di ble !! 🎯
Would be awesome if you could try out the Reason Rack in Logic. Or even the Reason DAW. There's so much possibilities, for example they have the Dual Arpeggio. It goes far beyond what Logic's arp can do but you can also use it as a midi effect in Logic.
tasty
Sounds a little bit like the petshop boys
Great video mate. More arp tips please!😁
thank you very much
