Dude your giving me flashbacks. When I was in little league I was the best player on the team by a mile. We moved to a new town and I joined their little league team and batted perfect that season, every at bat I either had a homerun, base hit or a walk. After the season they formed an all star team, each towns team from the county there would be 3 players selected for the all star team. Well unfortunately for me the coach on our team had 2 sons and a nephew on the team and what do you know he picked his 2 sons and nephew for the all stars despite me having a perfect 1000 batting average , my friend was also really good as well and the coaches sons and nephew absolutely sucked at baseball. And it was a pretty small county and there was alot of that going on. The countys all star team pretty much consisted of all the coaches sons, nephews or their friends sons and nephews. Whats funny is that "all star" team got blown out in the first round of the all star tournament by a neighboring countys team by like 30 points. They had to call the game early because it was such a blowout. If only they would of actually selected the all stars based on merit and not nepotism maby they would of actually been competitive in the tournament.
