Wow that looks Amazing. I know our mutual friend Ermer has been using the K2 plus since it came out and just adores it. I do believe the tolerances come out a little tighter than printing on the Bambu for instance. The point you made about printing multiple of the same parts on the same bed to reduce waste it spot on :)

Purge volumes have to do with barrel lengths and there is a theory to calculate the amount of purge needed to change colors and I know that from running industrial extruders but the larger barrel equals more waste and is a poor design choice in the hotend increasing waste when you can get hot ends like mosquito hot ends with high flow titanium coated barrels which actually decreases heat creep and lowering waste . They even have titanium coated barrels replacements for lower end extruders so increasing barrel length only increased back pressure and purge volumes which would actually slow the extrusion down and make the prints lower quality if the speed and back pressure gets too high you will degrade the plastic

I would have added a power receiving wire ring to run a few LEDs inside that thing like where the milar llenses are, wouldn't add too much weight.

Thanks for a very informative video. I was looking for a broader airbrush for priming, and that looks perfect, great value too. If you like the Tamiya clear acrylics, check out also the Mr Hobby ones, they do a black (smokey) one (GX-101) which is good for recesses and darker metal areas.

You mentioned the single color purge bits: those are there because the printer has a ridiculously long nozzle-heatbreak combo and it cuts the filament above that, meaning it needs to purge the whole distance every time it swaps filament (and it’s a lot of filament). No idea why they didn’t implement a retraction like Bambu has added (initially it also just cut the filament above the nozzle and then purged the whole thing) Edit: of course you mentioned that seconds after I paused the video haha

You did an amazing job on these props! Not sure if you intended to make them look unused, (maybe tools are made of Beskar?) If it wasn't based on lore, then giving them more wear and use to their look would take them up another level. Once again the modeling and prep portions seem very well mastered.

I have been considering buying a 3D printer and this one was recommended to me. I went to the Bambu web site and noticed they have a blog...and what better place to see if there are any issues. What I found out was that a firmware update is on the way which will tie your machine to their company and how you can use it. Also I was wondering why 90% of everything I see people printing is star wars stuff, mythical animals or beasts and people or just toys and things that don't serve any practical purpose?

I would love for you to also try the method I have used to great success before. I paint the base black and then two 2K High Gloss Clear layers. This process allows for a bit thicker coating that can be lightly sanded and buffed for a complete mirror finish before adding the metallics.

What would you recommend for a beginner?. I would really love to print my own articulated action figure. But i just don't know where to start there is soo many selections!!! XD thank you.
