Lukas always makes me smile or giggle. His face when Brooke comes over to him is hilarious. I remember on MSN live at the time there were quite a few folks on there who attended the live show. They regularly said that the sound was way better in person for everyone and that Lukas, in particular, had an amazing voice. I've seen him live and I agree.

Im a bigger fan of season 2 than 1, and i felt Toby crushed that killers song in comparison to Ty. I really like Ty, but that song wasnt for him.

I turned 12 in 1983 when I first heard INXS. When this show aired, I was in disbelief but watched it just to see what would happen.

Zayra shouldn't have left that week. It was their best rock performance, but at least it introduced me to this fantastic band Blue October, which I'm still a fan of.

One thing that always bothered me about this show, was the incorrect interpretation of its goal that most people had, including the contestants. It wasn't a popularity contest. It wasn't a competition to find the best singer. It was an audition to be the singer for a specific band, with a specific style, and a specific sound. Many bands audition new members and turn away people who are technically better musicians/singers, but don't truly fit the sound or vibe. This show started off with 15 amazingly talented singers, and 14 of them left because they weren't a good fit for that band. To imply there was any other reason is to be a poor sport.

Marty; always making those introspective comments showing he was really in the moment, not taking anything for granted. A sign of a good man, a good father.

suzie was extremely inarticulate and that is poison for a rock star in demand for Press interviews.

JD's messy birthday cake fight was gross, excessive and irresponsible to the people having to clean up a greasy sugary mess. i am so over him. and to know what happened w/ him & INXS, am not surprised. he took it too far & lacked the required discipline.

That performance of Pretty Vegas was absolute fire. The intro was smoking, he came in a beat too late, but the house band covered for him flawlessly. JD Fortune was a force of nature on stage.

Say what you want about JD. At the end of the day he stood up for what he believed in and it paid off. That is why he won!

I watched these when they aired 100 years ago and never paid much attention to Lukas' original Headspin as my favorites were (and still are) Magni and Storm. It's so damn sad and it sounds like he had a rough time growing up. He acquitted himself pretty well on the show and was always pretty calm. It sounds like he had to be with what he must have dealt with growing up.

I was annoyed at the time this show aired and am even more irritated now at how they treated the women when they "critiqued" them after they performed. So many comments on their looks and their sexuality, especially the way they treated Tara Sloane. I love INXS but that was total crap. :(

Original Inxs members - when they comment on each performance they are spot on...in fact DO NOT UNDERESTIMATE their comments and the depth of the connection they have with their own music . Young performers yes beautifully done and soo for your time and culture ...but I agree with INXS ..are the song choices in INXSs style ? Especially when heavy death metal style is performed....sorry wrong band audition....MIG ..in my experience and opinion you should have been the new front man for inxs as you have the soul connection and impeccable dress sense that Micheal Hutchinson was famous for ...please never give up music Mig as you have it...but so does all the performers ...infact there is not one on that stage now that does not have the x factor... hard to choose inxs

Im a full blown biological female (sad it's come to that but ... anyway) so i can appreciate girl power and grrrrl power too,! But other than just for i guess some drama and sexual tension ( there was zero tension or chemistry whatsoever in that house) this particular competition just didn't need the girl voices .. literally.

I watched the entire competition. I swear, i knew from the first episode, JD had this seen up. His look? His stage presence and his vocals, while not technically supreme, they were truly reminiscent of Micheal Hutchence..i mean ,come on, this is a fairly iconic band with tons of hit records, any fans that would spend $$ is not going to see "inxs featuring.. Jessica ??? Stupid. But the show was entertaining and its funny to think this wss was the pinnacle of these contestants "careers ". That rendition of Lola was downright painful.
