Does anyone else think that Z should not have been sent home on this performance? Sure, we all knew she was never going to front the band, but she bought a lot more entertainment than Patrice.
Yes. Patrice got kind of boring as the show went on. She was a good singer but just didn't look like she could lead the band. Atleast Zayra had the personality to do it.
If it was a singing competition to win.. I agree.. However for making the band of Supernova, I disagree. I think her singing is perfectly why she should not be in the band and why a solo career or a different band is for her.

Patrice should have done performances like this one 4 weeks ago. That's what they were asking her for. I still remember Zayra's performance, Blue October and that song to this day. That she went home on this song, cause she was going home, was a victory. She left on a high. And she got a great video for her personal reel.

Zayra's performance was awesome. She picked great songs for herself. Loved her version of Not an addict as well. Truly bummed we didn't get to see more of her. Every time I watch these eps, I appreciate her more and more. She was iconic.
Zayra choosing Razorblade doesn't surprise me. She recorded with Blue October a few times before appearing on the show. You can hear her on Come in Closer and as the backup singer on Into the Ocean
Zayra shouldn't have left that week. It was their best rock performance, but at least it introduced me to this fantastic band Blue October, which I'm still a fan of.
This show has aged like milk dude. So cheesy. I'm really glad that the whole "rockstar" stereotype is no longer relevant 'cause is awful. Every single episode the girls had to proob that a "woman can lead the band", like wtf, that's ridiculous. Dilana was amazing always, but she still had to make sure that that band of grown ass men knew that she could "hang with the boys". That's just stupid.
Taylor Lange she remembered all the words but there was something about her vocals in the first 30 seconds or so of that song that really bothered me. I don't know what it was

Well in all fairness it is/was an American RnR contest, not a variety talent show. Given, she’s very talented I’m her own way and culture. However, after that less than stellar performance of “The Kinks” that she did twice mind you, after it landed her in the bottom three, was a miracle she didn’t get cut then. I think a certain someone having a sweet spot for her, kept her on. She wanted the exposure for her own solo career, and I don’t blame anyone for taking the bull by the horns when an opportunity presents itself bc that’s wise! However, to be fair to the ones that truly understood the role and had the chops to do it, was unfair they got the hatchet before she did. She just isn’t RnR at all, she’s choppy in her lyrics and can’t perform that smooth ebb and flow that true RnR takes, not stealing of spin off genres that squall and screech that make up for lack of talent or noise, say like CL/Hole. That’s not saying she doesn’t have talent and there’s plenty of room for everyone, which is why bands are the way to go unless someone can land a solo gig. I’ll clue the ones in thinking that Hole is impressive to the guys in RnR, and thinks that’ll end them a spot, it’s not. CL is a joke to the true RnR in the industry. They know well how she got there and it’s not lost on them that they could never reproduce anything close to LTT after KC, and I’ll leave it at that. (That’s what got poor JG in the poo poo m the first rounds) I surmise that music was easily to obtain and used for that reason and knowing CL,she offered it up for a favor or publicity. 😆 Or just for pure entertainment kicks to see what talent could make of it, etc. No hate, just observations and what’s on the circuit.
Ummm, Dave....Why should Storm have had to copy Cake and sing the song ironically? Cake singing I will Survive ironically worked in large part because they are men. Even though it was disco, there is a reason why the song is iconic. She did a fine job with it....meanwhile Toby literally got half the words to his song wrong and they all said they liked it. The voters realized it was weak, but those jokers never got it. Dave Navarro really did have the absolute shittiest opinions on both seasons of this show. They never had any intention of choosing a woman, even Dilana. They already had Lukas pegged to win before the finale. Watching it back all these years later, it really is easy to see how much of a joke these guys were (not the contestants, they were all talented to varying degrees, the "famous" ones)

Cause everything else in the room is gonna be off". To my 13-year-old brain, I was like, "What are they TALKING about?" Nope! I was rooting for Lukas right from the moment I saw his face on my TV. I saw him, found him super sexy, was delighted to find out he's Canadian, and I rooted for him the whole way, and I've even got him as a friend on Facebook, AND I've met him. He's awesome! He dedicated a song to me the first time because I stood outside in the cold to watch his show through the window. I was 13 and he was performing at a nightclub, so I couldn't get in. It was FREEZING, but that show was awesome. "This last song is dedicated to the little girl standing outside who can't get in". That's what he said.

These vids have been flooded with comments of "if only they'd picked Dilana, Toby, etc." people think the band would've somehow taken off- I mean look come on, Jason Newstead was still in a band or 5, Tommy Lee was still touring with Crue (& playing around with bimbos on reality shows lmao), no way they could've sustained this experimental band much as I hate to say it (in 20/20 hindsight, and still one of my very favorite albums growing up that they released)
