Sharing my knitting and crafting journey. I am still learning, this is all a learning curve, but wanted to share some of my creative projects with the lovely knitting community.
Will be sharing knitting projects (of course!), but also sewing and other crafting.
I am interested in trying to make more sustainable choices and this is also something I am learning about.
Occassionaly I sell some of the crafts I make. If you are interested, I recommend giving me a follow on instagram as this is where I am most present.

Happy Birthday! Loved this week vlog form you're trying out. I live in Colorado and know where the Celestial Seasons Tea head quarters are. You can actually tour the facility. Ive always wanted to go. If you ever make it here we should go together! 🫖☕️
Ha! Would the sleepy tea fumes send us all to sleep???? 😆 thank you!
@@orchidsheart 🥱🤣
what a lovely episode, so enjoyable, i loved seeing more of a vlog style :) for the celestial teas, usually Sostrene Grene stocks them, which is how I've found them in the UK, they pretty reliably have the sleepytime one and then sometimes some others. Glad you had a wonderful birthday!
Ahhh even more of a reason to go to one...! Thanks :) 🥰
Happy birthday to you! I loved spending the time hearing about your projects and your days with the baby. Cheers. 🇨🇦😍
Thanks so much! 😊
I was drinking the celestial seasonings sleepytime tea while I was watching this and I did a double take when I saw the bear! Happy birthday and I’m glad you had a lovely day!
Hahah !!! Funny 😆
Wow Happy Birthday. Thank you for the vlog!
Thank you!! 😊
Lovely! And you made the right choice to skip swimming! 😊 plenty of time for that later when it’s not freezing! We love the mystery of never quiet seeing your baby ❤❤❤
Thank you ! (& we have been swimming now since its thawed out!)
did you do dressmaking course?
No, I learnt how to sew basically at school and then just practiced and had a go. Early clothes weren't great but I wore them anyway! I've been sewing almost 18 years I think now
@ brilliant
Happy Birthday and I love the vlogs 😊 You are very talented with your knits 🐑
Thank you!
The color you do not like looks wonderful with your hair color.
Aw thanks. I think I'll prob still dye it tho
Great Vlog! And the baby made it so much nicer! Happy belated birthday! Hope you got to take that bath, and you get some chances to take more. 9 in the house is desperately cold, I know I live in a colder climate than you (it has been -10C lately) and my studio sits at 9C till I light my fire and I need to have my winter coat on! And I did like the two colours of the Tencel Twill together, though I agree with you about the apricot-y colour. The golden ochre seems to help it immensely so you may be able to do something with part of it without dyeing it.
Oooof -10! We had-5 and it was hard going. I don't think our house is cut out for that much cold ! Thank you:)
Loved this! Thank you 👍😊
So glad!
Enjoyed your vlog, I do think you made the right choice for your sleeves. Looks better.
Yes! Thank you!
Hello, I enjoyed this vlog. A shop in our town sell the Sleepytime tea, or, at least, I have bought it there in the past. They don’t have a website, but I’ll have a peep next time I’m there. Xxx
Awww do let me know !
You look stunning in red…I’m not just saying that.what is that machine behind you? It looks like an original Apple Computer from 1990.. ❤❤
Thank you! Unsure if its apple but it is an old computer yes. I'm concerned about where it is gonna end up 😆 thankfully it's no longer on the table though!
Really nice video, glad you had such an enjoyable time out for your birthday. I love everything about that red cardigan, it would be a lovely thing to knit up, it also looks brand new still!
Thanks! Yes its gorgeous isn't it! It did get some holes I've mended but the wool has worn so well
Enjoyed this Ophelia! Happy to watch knitting podcasts and, when you can, vlogs of your day-to-day life 😊 Oh, and a Belated Happy Birthday to you! ❤
Thank you !
Lovely little round up, I think I'll look over mine this weekend. I would suggest a couple of the smaller ones with the least on so they are out of the way and then something else.
Good plan!
Happy belated birthday! We had the same problem with the walls which was made much better by having cavity wall insulation put in. The best £70 we ever spent on our house. Also, keeping airflow going is very important and always keeping air flow from the window even when it’s freezing outside. Soon be summer 🎉
Cannot wait for the warmth to come back! And thank you! We are actually going to be renovating a house and insulation is gonna feature heavily 😆
I really loved that Vlog so much. I am one of the people who likes to see all kinds of facets of someones life. It makes it such a rich experience and you get to know the person behind the camera so much better. 🙂 Wow, that vegetable box looked awesome. I love all kinds of vegetables and also beans. 🙃😉 I love the way your Hobbit vest is turning out . I understand the funky drawer smell perfectly well, lol. I live in a 121 year old house and I can`t afford to heat all the rooms all the time in it. So in my sewing room, I only turn the electric heater on when I am actually in it. That leaves some of the fabric and things smelling funny in the drawers sometimes and of course I always have to check all the walls for mold. Can`t put the furniture up against the walls either. There has to be a "breathing space" for the problem walls all the time, for air circulation. I do give my "problem rooms" a good clean up twice a year, gowing through the drawers and refreshing everything. Spring and fall are good times for such endeavors. Love the new fabric you got. Can`t wait to see, how the new dye is going to look like on the "brick" fabric. Kaki green is a good colour. I had a funny experience with dying over a canary yellow wool a while ago. I thought, I would dye it black and the end result was a kiwi green, lol. But I really loved it. 🙂Huggs from the Schurwald Forest, Germany. 🌲🌲🌲
Its hard keeping these old houses in check isn't it! I have started trying to keep the furniture away from the walls but not always easy! Thanks for watching
Loved❤ this vlog …. Great to be sharing your days … & Belated Happy Birthday 🎈 ❤
Thank you!
That beetle magic sweater will be fabulous!!!
Thank you!
Since you asked...finish the toes on your Mom's socks! Quick and check one off. Finish one of the baby knits then cast on something new. You deserve it! Happy New Year!
Mums socks done ! Just working on the beetle jumper which is taking forever ...!
really nice Episode ! I am in the USA and know Eddie Baurie very well. Made me smile! Love your knits. I always have socks going and I am into the Mussleburgh Hat. and a Felix cardigan started.. I will stop there ! hope you do get back to your pettite knitter cardigan , its beautiful. ttfn thank you!
I have since picked it up 🤗 thank you
I would finish up the socks first, because you can do that pretty quickly, then they'll be out of your way. I'd save the summer top for summer. Doing the baby things would be fun to keep working on, too.
This is probably what will happen, tho I need to pick up the summer top with enough time to actually finish it before summer!
That is definitely the snowshoe sock pattern from "knits about winter," which calls for a US4. I made mine in a US3 because I am a loose knitter. They're so cute!
Ah it might be that then ! Thanks
Ah it might be that then ! Thanks
Oooh I do so want to make the Eastman jacket ❤❤❤. I love my barn sweater from same book
It's a stunning book
Happy new year I would do the baby knits first as there smaller and won’t take as long. X
Yes for sure! Tho it turns out the beetle jumper is prob for a 4 yr old so its bigger than I thought
Honestly, compared to others you have few wip’s. I went through mine the other day and found two pairs of fingerless gloves I had forgotten about. I would finish your mother’s socks. An hour or two and done. For me, Ovis would be next, just because of the challenge. By then I would want to be getting something new on the needles anyway. Glad you had good holidays, and love your beetle magic. Hope to see it again on a podcast, with you wearing it, again soon.
Yes got so many I'd like to cast on! I dont like having too many as I largely do knit the things I start unless i hate working on them (like the soiree)
Oh my goodness, that Beetle Magic sweater is so cute!!
Thank you
Hello, happy New Year. If it were me, I’d do your Mum’s socks first because it’s a quick win and gets them out the way. Then I would do all the frogging on the cardigan and put it to one side whilst I knitting the shawl. Then, when you go back to the cardigan, it might fell less painful and you might be more motivated to do it(?). Best wishes, Laura x
Yes thats a good idea. I've done the socks and one sleeve.... and working myself up to do the second sleeve 😆
FINISH THE SOCKS FIRST!!! It will be quick and build momentum!!! I always tell myself when I’m doing a WIP down that finishing a WIP is always faster than starting from the beginning (I get a sweater in half the time!), which helps me get the motivation up to actually crack on with an abandoned WIP and get it done. One of my 2024 intentions was “no more languishing WIPs” and I succeeded at this intention! I currently have no long term languishing WIPs (I frogged one on NYE from 2023). Now I only allow a WIP to sit there if it is a seasonal knit that I didn’t finish in that season, so I currently have a languishing tank top that I will pick up when it’s warm again and I recently finished up a pair of socks languishing from last winter, which feels great! This is a very workable rule for me
I'm glad you've worked out a pattern that works, I think I'm overly ambitious with my time.... and stash..... 😆
Good to see you! The first Christmas as parents must have been crazy, but magical. As usual I’m inspired by your color choices. Be well💗
Thank you, it was lovely
You could choose one to pick up each month and not worry if you don't finish but you would have made some progress on each. But you might find you get into them once you've picked them up. I love the little beetle magic. I started a Stella Quilt Cushion which for some reason I can't get into so I do need to make sure I don't let that languish at the bottom of my knitting pile! Especially as the yarn is gorgeous. Happy new year to you. Thank you for putting out your videos, I really enjoy seeing what you're making x
I'd love to do the stella quilt but am the same, dont know if I'd actually get on with it 😆
Happy New Year and happy crafting 2025. I think I would start finishing the baby knits first. They go fast and babies also grow fast. 🙂 Then I would finish the socks. They also go fast. I think it is motivating to see the WIP pile shrink continously that way. I would leave the more labour intensive wips to the last. The thick cardigan you probably won`t be wearing until next fall/winter. I would leave that one for last. Maybe, to reward yourself, you could cast on a new make, every time you finished a certain amount of your wips. 🙂 Huggs from Germany. 💗💞 P.S. Love the Eddie Baur cardigan. It is epic 🙂
This is a good plan !
Those Christmas stockings! An that soft green thrown mug, the handle is just lovely looking, I hope it feels great as you hold it - the handle is such an important part of mug making!
It does feel good!!!
Love your channel! I feel like I have found a natural yarn enthusiast buddy. Happy holidays!

Ha yes he is ! I made them, hoping to talk about it in a short xmas video this week
Love your videos and love your projects and goodies. Don't worry about your house being a mess ( I'm sure it's not as bad as you think !). Enjoy your little one while he's small , they grow up so quickly and you'll never get this time back again. I speak as one who knows. 🥰
