CRUNCHWRAP but with MORE Meat & LESS Calories! [Weight Loss / Muscle Gain]
Taco Bell's Crunchwrap is one of my favorite menu items of theirs. I wanted to keep the calories low, but the flavor (and protein) high! This version of the classic Crunchwrap has fewer calories and more than THREE TIMES the protein of the Taco Bell version - and they'll help with weight loss and muscle gain! These will definitely be a regular in my kitchen now!

    The best thing I've found for chopping ground beef is an old school wire potato masher! It's also great for stirring soup, stew, chili, cranberry sauce, spaghetti sauce and even fried rice. A true multitasker. And, in a pinch, you can use it to make mashed potatoes! Thanks for what you do.

I also add some garlic powder and some A1 sauce. I mix it all up and grill it. The burgers are so good. But this is something I am going to add to my list. The stuffed cheese looks delicious. Ill probably skip the bread. I was using keto bread but after my third grilling we just started wrapping it in lettuce.

    Made this the other day for me and the wife. It’s a solid recipe. Macros for me before the toppings for 200 grams were: Protein: 10.8 grams Carbs: 23.8 Fat: 4.3 Calories: 177 I added the peanuts and the caramel afterwards. It’s legitimately as close to a Snickers bar taste as you can get for the calories. Would have liked some more protein so I might try adding some chocolate whey protein next time.

    If you use the sorbet setting instead of ice cream or light ice cream you never have to do a respin and the texture is just perfect. The different blend settings just define how long and how much the blade is spinning. My ice cream got a little too soft for my taste when I used ice cream or light ice cream with a re spin + mix in on top. Tested on my Creami Deluxe! I also use half of the extract out of a real vanilla bean for my vanilla ice cream on top of the liquid one and the difference in taste is night and day for me.

Do you always do the "treadmill thing" or do you venture out to the neighborhood, the park, the walking trail or - heaven forfend - the gym! Thanks so much for sharing your "journey." I have the feeling you only gave us a glimpse into your pain and frustration. Congratulations! G

    • @TheCogIsShred
      @TheCogIsShred 21 день назад

      Thanks very much! Yeah, there was a lot to fit into this video, haha. I'm planning on continuing to release videos talking about different subjects, and walking/exercise will be in a future one for sure. I generally aimed to walk for about an hour a day, 5 or 6 days a week, at the fastest speed that was comfortable for me. When starting out that was about 2.5 mph, but these days I normally walk at about 4 mph. In past weight loss attempts, before we bought our house I would walk around our neighborhood or occasionally a local park walking trail whenever weather permitted, and would walk on our treadmill when the weather wasn't as nice. When we bought our house we moved to a slightly more rural area with no sidewalks, so my wife bought me a slim treadmill for my studio, which is what I've been using ever since. I actually haven't set foot in a gym once, haha. The main reason, aside from cost, was distance and motivation. I prefer to exercise first thing in the morning, and having to get up and make the effort to go to the gym every morning seemed like too much of a hassle. That's just ME, of course, haha. If someone wants to go to the gym then they should by all means do so! But this is just what I found worked well for me. ^_^

I've been cooking using these recipes and they are happy and lost some weight. I find myself eating more though since they eat a lot. So one way I've been keeping myself on track is eating after them and drinking water before I eat. I'll cook then start cleaning while they eat. It allows me to go slower. Only thing I can think of is, either you're not using xanthan gum, guar gum, or if you have neither one you can also use instant pudding. Those should help minimize the ice crystals. Also the longer it stays in the freezer, the more ice crystals it will have too. So after you make it, try to eat it within a week.

      @sichtbarfurallenutzer779 Xanthan gum helps prevent ice crystals, try adding 1/2 teaspoon of xanthan gum and see if that helps. 😁

    Dont you get a hump on your freezing mixture when putting it with the lid on in the freezer? Or let me put it in another way... how do you prevent getting a hump? 😅 Nice video!

      @rajkoprikoszovits474 Sometimes I do, although these mixtures have managed to freeze without a hump. I've heard that if you let it freeze without the lid it helps avoid the hump from forming. Thanks!

    Made your cheesecake ice cream and really liked it! Might have to chop up a slice of this toast and blend it right in next time! I love me some low cal French toast. Will give this a whirl but will tweak it a bit as I prefer skipping the fake and artificial ingredients. Using a half cup of blueberries for the added micronutrients and a dollop or two of fat free Greek yogurt. Much better choices that will barely cost you any calories and will provide more protein, and less fake stuff

      @Studiovette sounds delicious! I've added blueberries to the French toast a loved it! I bet I would enjoy some fat-free vanilla greek yogurt on it as well. Thanks for sharing that!

    what about using a raw egg yolk

    • @TheCogIsShred
      @TheCogIsShred Месяц назад

      @quiltstamper5432 The egg yolk is something I've learned from other Creami recipes. It can be done without it, and will still be good, but the consistency will be slightly different. I'm going to look into an alternative that doesn't use raw egg for those who would prefer not to have it. 😊

    Kinda BS to advertise it as ice cream from one brand while using items from another, no?

    • @Awoguru
      @Awoguru Месяц назад

      It's called a snickers ice cream because it's supposed to mimic the taste of a snickers ice cream while keeping it loa calorie, kinda hard to keep something low calorie while using the name brand item itself as an ingredient

    • @TheCogIsShred
      @TheCogIsShred Месяц назад

      @Awoguru Indeed. The intent is to replicate the flavor of Snickers as a low calorie ice cream.

      @@maximumrpg3707 the recipes work. My father in law lost 14 pounds since I've shown him some. I have lost 10. I make the quesadillas usually two times a week. You get all the flavors of the food type but none of the gunk in the premade and way less calories. Give it a try. You may like it.

      @maximumrpg3707 Oh, I see what you're saying. This isn't a sponsored video, I just like using my Ninja Creami and I share recipes that I like to make with it, but I'm not advertising or being paid by any of these companies. Just stuff from my personal kitchen. 😊
