I cheated on my "diet"...

  • I was a bit indulgent tonight and had a bit too much to eat... but you know what? That's OK! "Perfection" is not the key to success. NO ONE is perfect, and you'll always experience setbacks or make mistakes in your journey! Don't let little "mistakes" hold you back. Keep going! Small setbacks are part of the journey, but consistency is the key to success in anything!

Ooo cheesecake ice cream! I could see slipping up for something so delicious. I think I tend to beat myself up too when it comes to it.

Great short video to talk about such an important thing that people don't always understand or realize.
going through a "Cheat" day or a day you just eat more than normal, it's nothing wrong to beat yourself over.
There are people who take it a bit far from low low carb diet to spike hard and back to low, it sends the body into overdrive and it's not good it can actually send the body into shock.
But days where you're on a diet and you just have a bit more like say once a month or once a week even. as long as you continue to do your workout and stay consistent. it can actually help you lose weight, as your body will get use to low carbs and slow down on metabolism, a small spike of extra food will help the body go back to burn through a higher amount of carbs before it goes back to slow down again, so a day or two of higher amounts can be a good thing!
It's like a fire, a fire of small embers will continue to burn slow and small until it burns it all out, but adding extra fuel will make the fire burn more until it all is reduced to embers again to start slowly calming back down again, sometimes adding more fuel to the fire is needed to break through to the next step!
we're all just weird flesh steam engines, so add more fuel to the fire to chug up that hill through Siberia. until it's not sorrow on the rails, it's Triumph!
Just be sure to not run out of steam or waste time, time waits for no one my friends! So step right up and get a seat, come sail with me across the sea. Go grab that midnight snack, because with all this blood, sweat, and tears, we'll carry on and become better, become the us we wanna be. Whether that be another cog in the machine, or a savior of the skies. Just remember we're all living in this circus of clowns, and no one truly knows what they're doing! We're just a part of the Freak Show. So don't be a worry wart, we all have fears, Sure there may be Hiccups along the way, But no need to look like an Apathetic monkey! Look alive Space Cowboy, Whether it's to the bright little stars above, or to the depths below, we're prepared for any adventure!
Stay curious, stay strong, and get Shredded!
(PS. I don't know why I decided to take all of those song titles and turn them into a speech to uplift, But you know, it was fun. I hope it was fun to read, I just wish I could fit in Michael Byrd The Flying Man in there. xD)

Not with the diet, as I personally seem to have what some would call "fast metabolism" so while I don't keep any real diet I don't seem to get fat, but I often would end up putting myself down in anger when I'd fail something, quiting it and then after some time (maybe a few days, maybe a few weeks) going back to it and improoving over it :p

I can relate to that as well. Personally I've found this mindset to be helpful with any goal I've tried to achieve.
