I like to buy knives of known and good brands, I want to have confidence in the quality, I want to feel good and proud when I buy a knife for the steel, the materials and the feel what it gives. It doesn't have to be magnacut. I can be very Happy with a Coldsteel with AUS 10 A or a classic stockman from Buck with 420HC or a Knafs knife with 14C28n , It is the confidence that It is well build.

I own benchmade, QSP, and Civivi knives that I carry daily. I bought one of the Ozark trail knives BECAUSE it's cheap. I threw it in my glove box, and will likely buy another for a tackle box knife. I don't expect the quality or durability I get from more expensive knives, but if a Civivi breaks, I'm going to be far more upset than if my $10 DropOut does.

I have a Ozark Grail and it works great definitely worth the 10$ I’d by it again and definitely recommend it! Honestly crazy for 10$

I bought two of these knives this week and own over 550 fixed and folding knives.

I do not/will not buy anything from Wal-Mart....you get what you pay for AND you should support local businesses, not Chinese junk (which is the whole of Wal-Mart products). Hard pass. I know the Shuffle used to have pretty poor steel. I bought one for my daughter years ago. I also like the Lulu but I also know I am hard on knives and my camping knives not only get abused, but also lost. If I lose a $40 knife...OK it happens, a $230 knife, I would be ...um, upset.

My Ozark hotness was carried for a bit but its become a bag knife. Doesnt hold edge super long but still for $10 is insnae. Its been swapped out for the Kershaw steepe

I have had kershaw d2 knives have terrible heat treats where it is impossible to deburr. Ozark trail d2 deburred so cleanly.

Someone needs to test that steel to see if it comes back D2...but even with a generic steel $10 is wild...IN THIS ECONOMY?? Lol. Why doesn’t someone create their own app made for knife, creators, and people that have knives that they want to show off? But it could be for all weapons.

So some people have done cut tests with it and it held an edge longer than other known D2 knives. 🤷🏻‍♂️. I bought five of them just to see and they all feel exactly the same so the QC isn't bad. The pivot is a really small diameter. The bearings are cheap but they work. It appears to have a black oxide coating and not just a paint coating. For me it's a knife to gift to people to introduce them into the knife world with something that will hold an edge longer.

If ozark trail can make that…it is a decent knife. I bought two. I want other companies to make a $25 knife with same materials but just better quality control and consistency. It will be a banger of a knife.
