I have a factoid even Mr. Petersen might not know about his Lander 1: all the T6 screws appear to actually be IP6 (Torx Plus), even the thumbstuds! T6 bits slip like crazy in the screws, but IP6 bits are so, so secure! I may or may not have mangled a few of the screws before I realized this... Also, I have a suggestion for a Knafs at Nite segment! How about Comments of the Week in which you read your favorite comments from the previous week's video(s)?
I think he might know because I don't believe that's the case for the Lander 2? I know Ben said (maybe in the disassembly video or another related video) that using T6 was a mistake for the scale screws, I just checked & they're definitely T8 now, my Lander 2 is a new model I purchased. The thumbstuds & pocket clip screws are T6 but I don't have any issues with using regular security Torx or standard Torx bits for the Lander 2. I've never stripped or even cammed out any Torx screws from my Lander 2 platform yet but good thing it comes with 10 extras with every Lander 2. I use purple Loctite as recommended by Loctite for such small screws though, it's weaker & made for screws this small so they don't strip. Blue is misused on these small screws if you read their instructions. Spyderco ships with the stronger version of blue loctite (243) but I digress. They're still getting off that red Loctite stuff so maybe they're nervous. Lol

I hope scales like this become available. I like the micarta Ben has on the pre built lander 2 and this carbon introduction a lot. I would like to experiment with some lander 2 and 3 scales. Make it happen!!!
20CV is almost always run too soft but production companies to be worthwhile. I wonder how it will do with a coating on top of it to make it even softer.
3 lbs butter, 2 quarts heavy cream, 6 lbs shredded mild cheddar cheese, 6 lbs of frozen hash browns, skip the corn flakes, mix it up, bake until the butter and cream rise to the top, mash it back down, broil till the top hash browns brown crispy brown. Makes 23 cases of atherosclerosis, 3 cases of myocardial infarction, 17 cases of cheese induced constipation and everybody fat and happy. More funerals in a week or two. If you know, you know!
