I'm curious how the .460 rowland does out of a 5" barrel compared to that 16" barrel. Underwood claims a velocity of 1400 fps from their 230 gr hollowpoints (Nosler Sporting Handgun HPs) so I wonder of the 16" is too long and causes them to start slowing down.
@@travisminton2141 1383 fps is very close to the advertised 1400 fps. Around 98.5% of it. Idk how regulated these ammunitions are, but that difference seems insignificant to me.
I really want to know how they made that thing run. Is it simple blowback? Cuz I feel like a traditional browning action wouldn’t cycle with that much side mass.

As someone who grew up on skillet-fried spam, I was genuinely surprised when I found out not a lot people like it, until I found out they were eating it right out of the can.
As someone who hadn't tried Spam until I was in my 30's, it was better than expected, though I would never eat it right out the can, usually fry it up with eggs or something.

Loved the intro. Poor T-Rex lost out on that one!! Instead of 'You Just Got Jammed', it was 'You Just Got Spammed'. In the UK Spam is just sold in the supermarkets, and you just slice it and put it on sandwiches like ham, with pickle. We were surprised by how much the barrel kicked up considering the length. Nice to see the chrono used before it's untimely death. That was a big boost from 1000 to 1400 fps courtesy of a longer barrel.
That long of a slide would be very heavy and the 1911 design can only take so much depending on the cartridge used. 450 Roland is an excellent choice here because the stock 5" slide is really light for that much power...so that 16" would be just the ticket and not need ridiculous spring pressures.
**I kind of expected the 45acp plus p to have a bit more zip, **and I expected to 460 Rowland to have more zip with that long of a barrel. **Maybe the Chrono was broken before he hit it? **I wonder how much that pistol weighed with the long barrel, **I know you're not going to be able to find a holster for that so maybe one of the over the shoulder shotgun scabbard
I know we're all here for spam recipes. The best and most simple recipe is to cut it thin fry it on both sides and slap it between two pieces of buttered toast... or toast with mustard and cheese. Both are scrumptious
Slice into quarter inch strips. Put hotdog franks (halved lengthways then half across) on top. Add Bacon strips. Put into oven at 220 degrees on oven tray for 18 minutes. Add shreded cheese on top and pomut under grill until cheese is melted and golden topped. Add onion rings, mushrooms and whatever sauce floats your boat and enjoy with a football game and cold beverage of choice.
Can tell we have some people from Hawaii here. Had a buddy from Tennessee ask how we can eat spam? Find out he was eating it from the can! Definitely FRY!!!

I have a Springfield Armory mil spec 1911 with a 460 Rowland conversion kit it’s a beast with the 5 1/2” barrel it came with and a lot easier to handle! Keep up the great show sir.

actually, the gun joker fired, strange as it is...probably would have been more powerful. 21" barrel firing a .38 super. If it were a real gun that is. I'm not sure such a weapon could even function without detonating, if so, I don't know if someone could fire it without breaking their wrist. I think the only real problem is that such a small piece of metal is unlikely to do enough damage to any airplane to take it down on a single shot no matter how fast it's moving.
Works better with fmjs. The 1911 was designed in a time when hollow points weren't really a thing. Edit, Spam is just pork shoulder formed into a block and cooked. It's not this crazy mystery meat everyone thinks it is.
A. Spam is amazing and not mystery meat. B. Also agree with the FMJ thing. Most 1911s are meant for that. Only highly polished tight tolerance expensive guns are MEANT to run hollows from our experience working on them. Which makes sense for the time the weapon was designed and made. That ramp angle is shot and steep for a longer bullet. Most hollows are a tad shorter and jam up at the barrel ramp of standard pattern 1911 barrels which most are.
I wish there weren't so many regulations about putting stocks on pistols. I feel like if you made a custom wooden stock for that thing, it would be the most badass looking pistol carbine.

I think the only real problem is that such a small piece of metal is unlikely to do enough damage to any airplane to take it down on a single shot no matter how fast it's moving.

B. Also agree with the FMJ thing. Most 1911s are meant for that. Only highly polished tight tolerance expensive guns are MEANT to run hollows from our experience working on them. Which makes sense for the time the weapon was designed and made. That ramp angle is shot and steep for a longer bullet. Most hollows are a tad shorter and jam up at the barrel ramp of standard pattern 1911 barrels which most are.
