I went to Arkansas on my mission that's the first time I heard about the mountain Massacre so I started finding all the information about that. My mother's family is from Arkansas 12 members of my family was killed in that Massacre. I fully understand why some people actor the way they did on that day

As I have pondered the question, “Why is the Gospel of Jesus Christ so beneficial to women?”, one of the top answers I have received is that women need men who are truly good…to be their fathers, brothers, friends, uncles, grandpas, sons, and husbands. And although there are other good men in the world, I personally believe that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the place where the most good men are found. The way the Church works, where men are taught to focus on God at a young age (missions), being worthy to go to the temple and to have the gift of the Holy Ghost, so many opportunities to grow and serve, etc. Peter is a perfect example of what the Lord can do to make someone truly great. Imagine the blessing it is to have Peter as a husband or father, an uncle, a friend, a neighbor. We are all imperfect and have so far to go with the Lord’s help. But look how far he has come! You FEEL his goodness as he speaks. Where does that goodness come from? Peter attributes it all to the Lord, the fount of every blessing. Praise be to God for the chance to repent and the power to become like Him. This episode touched me more than I can say.

I dont see many negative sites on the Church as I refuse to particpate and so RUclips doesnt bring them to me. But when I see them I erase them or just move on to President Nelson and the dark side leaves. If we seek it, we will find it! I pray that all polluted sites are sent to trash where they belong.

I have prayed for over 30 years that my children would be able to return. 35 years ago their mother left me and was excommunicated and was quite bitter. She raised them out of the Church and they have all 5 never returned . I pray in the temple every time I go, and have put their names in the temple. So far, no change. I pray for their hearts to soften. Please pray for them!

What was stated about the Kinderhook plates is not accurate. From History of the Church, pg 372. "I insert fac-similes of the six brass plates found near Kinderhook... I have translated a portion of them, and find they contain the history of the person with whom they were found.He was a descendant of Ham, through the loins of Pharaoh, King of Egypt, and that he received his Kingdom from the ruler of heaven and earth." The assertion that Joseph Smith recognized these were a fraud is not supported by historical data.

Ah, the mists of darkness came to pull you off the rod. We do have to experience this. I'm so glad you kept on! So many of us have experienced this. There is a great book I read called "Get out of your head" You will receive answers to your questions, it takes time, you don't get them all at once. Earnestly seeking understanding is all you need, and some patience. Thanks for sharing your story.

I hear the spirit the same way as Peter hears. The Holy Ghost is so powerful that I can't deny it even when I'm reluctant to follow, and following is sometimes very painful.

When I was young I was good friends with Ogden Kraut and one of his wives Anne. They were good to me and it was a good friendship. When my parents found out about it and were pretty much freaking I replied, "As a gay man I don't want one wife, why would I have four?"
