You have the story incorrect. Luke bought the boat went to get it & it had been vandalized before even leaving the dock. Very suspicious . He then moved the boat home.

Tim and I made peace. I offered him a rent to own home in Boca Raton Florida. The terms are private. Just wanted to share that bricks and sticks is the way to go. RV is fun if it’s just for the occasional trip. Glad I could help Tim and Tammy out 👍

You must have had a big house! It cost about $4k to have our garage roof replaced. Within a year, one of the bigger branches of our tree fell on it and dented the gable vent. 😔

My wife and I are part timers from Ohio . Not a snow bird . But we use our class A 4 to 5 months a year . We will keep our sticks and bricks for when we can’t rv anymore. Besides I could sell my home . For crazy money but. It would cost me crazy money to purchase something similar. Cheaper to keep it. The metal roof I have should last 100 years .. shingles on a roof not smart..

Husband and I are just about ready to do this very thing. By spring we will be ready to leave to work camp, hoping to be in West Yellowstone. We stopped and talked to you in May of this year when your campground was not yet open. But you were very kind and gave us information to get started researching everything. (You were working on the floor of the store that day!) I have watched many of your videos since then and have shared so much information with my husband. Thank you!!

Well as you know from your prior career, life’s short and can end in a second. So we’re going FT to see stuff. All the stuff. All the places. Use my pension to live on and go. We talked about moving to the beach, as you saw the foxes playing in my short. We want to travel first and then see what happens. I have no desire to stay where I am and die a paramedic. I got other things to do 😊

Have stayed at this KOA a couple of times- great KOA and perfectly situated for visiting Yellowstone!

Stayed there probably going on 15 years ago, in a cabin after the main season. Good base for Yellowstone adventures.

Got me some crab cakes on the way!!! Cant wait to see him make that boat better than it was and get to crabbing with it!!

i concur with alot you have touched on, our plan is i will finish NRVTA certification end of june 2025, i have already started my mobile rv repair business but will be full time upon getting all my certifications and work in PA till november then head to sarasota florida till april then back to our sticks and bricks for the summer, my wife works remote and i will be mobile rv tech but my point is i think the 5 to 6 months living out of the motorhome will be just enough time for us that we will not get tired of it, plus being back home for the summer we will get to enjoy our grandkids and see the rest of our families, kinda of a win win for us.....thanks for the video

My daughter lives in Montana, Big Sky area . We love it there but it gets really cold for a long season . We enjoyed your video and have been RVing 3 years full time . Our 26 ft. TT is plenty enough for the 2 of us . Hope to see you on the road . Our trailer name is FOOL TYMER,S .

I love how y'all are doing this challenge. I started one before, but since I didn't have a way to put in "daily" as this particular challenge suggested, I stopped doing it. This is a really cool way to do a savings challenge!! Love it!

My wife and I love to stay at KOAs on our road trips. We don't have an RV/trailer but have stayed in KOA's with Teepees, Airstream trailers, cabins, and canvas tents. Love the variety! Thanks for your perspective!

Why talk about the downside of everything. Why not dwell on the good times together. We have been trying to get started full time the past 10 years. And just as we think we're getting ahead something happens. But We are not going to let it stop us. If we ever get this camper working and the house sold, we're out if here and not looking back. I can hardly wait until we can start.

175-180 a night 😕 that’s gonna be a hard no. We won’t stay on the road forever once we hit the road. Most people can’t. Just not realistic.

Alec another excellent video! For us, we opted to wait until retirement to go fulltime....BUT we are really only semi retired as we are workampers like you and Cindy. We were weekend campers before fulltime and we did a LOT of research and homework before opting to go fulltime. This lifestyle is not for everyone for sure. We are 72 (me)70 (him) and we know one day we will need to come off the road. I feel blessed that I was raised to be independent. We schedule family time once a year and we even gave up one entire summer of 2022 for family time. IMO if folks do their homework this life is very doable. Sometimes our expectations are what are our biggest disappointments. I think you have a great idea doing these videos while getting your steps in, you are providing a great service and burning calories!

Thankyou for posting this. Acouple yrs ago he was actually on PBS about The Chesapeake..This was way before what happened to his poor boat... He is such HARD WORKER!!! HARD HARD WORKER...Was so refreshing to see a young guy working his little ass off...After the PBS show i just always remembered Luke...Then 3, 4 yrs later i came across his picture on line then i read the article where he got robbed....I was pissed off for him...I thought omg theres the young guy I watched a crabbing PBSshow...I saw just a fraction of the hard work he does..Guys like Luke have to much pride to ask for help...We just have to do it..The ways of a Water men is something slowly slipping away ...

Everybody isn't leaving. I'm not leaving...and after 3 years full time truck camping I don't have any plans to stop. I have two sticks and bricks being rented out and maybe when I get tired of traveling the country biking, hiking and skiing...I'll end up at one of them. But I'm not leaving...not yet.
