Thank you for sharing your information!
Glad it was helpful!
Very good information!! Thanks Alec & Cindy !😁👍
Glad you found the information helpful
Very informative video. We have been fulltime since 2015. We were Florida residents when we went fulltime and we now domicile in South Dakota thru America's Mailbox. We are also Escapees members. Escapees also has domicile address in South Dakota for mailing purposes. At the time we switched from Florida to South Dakota Texas was still requiring inspections etc. We were workamping in South Dakota at the time. For us we opted for South Dakota for no jury duty; no state income taxes (Florida is the same) but we were tired of getting jury summons and having to get released it became a pain. We also chose SD for insurance purposes both medical and vehicle coverage. That is something you did not cover in your video. While we are not both on medicare it still makes a difference in your Supplement Coverage if you opt for it, which we do. We love Escapees and the offer a TON of discounts to their members. We used the tire discounts several time. It is a wonderful organization. It is going to be interesting to see how it progresses now that they have been purchased by Harvest Host owners.
I did not realize they were purchased by Harvest Host. We did not mention health insurance because we get that through my retirement.
Safe travels!
Great video. Good idea to film this video as I know many people have questions about mail.
Thanks ... we have been working so much ... you can tell Cindy is exhausted in this video.
Good information. 👍
Thanks
Thank you guys. 👋😊
I'm like you, going to sell everything & get a rig. I'm almost 58 and I need to get out there 🤯. lol 🤣. My property tax is ridiculous. 😲
I'm Massachusetts. ✌️😉.
Property tax is what ran me out of SC
Every time hear "Alec and Cindy" I hear Ellicott City. It's an old old town on the Patapsco River up the road from me. 😊 Good luck with your surgery, Cindy.
Too funny ... Cindy says "Thanks"!
I’ve been to Ellicott City ! Last time was going to stop , but it got flooded!😬
@@ralphp3057 they have sirens to warn you now.
@ralphp3057 👍
SC takes the money, makes interest then refunds it….without the interest 🙄.
We’re definitely going to Texas and escapees. Md sucks on taxes so we are leaving…fast. We will vote federal and not local, I agree with that. We did a seminar at the Hershey Rv show last year and had a lot of questions answered and your video is spot on. I’m all about not paying taxes 😂
Yes, Texas is the way to go ... I'm glad the video was helpful.
I believe one negative about choosing Texas other then their requirement for yearly vehicle checks has something to do with rigs that are over so many gross vehicle weight. It may be an extra fee for licensing. That would probably include most large diesel pushers and super C motorhomes
I know that after this year Texas is doing away with the inspection requirement. But the way it currently works is that if you are out of state you just check a box on the website that you have not had the vehicle inspected due to travel.
Rvclub mail service sais those 3 statees right on the website. I'm learning this stuff. cause we travel a lot and mail service stuff is kinda important.
Thanks for the info ... safe travels
Thank you again. That last little bit of info was awesome. I'm an amputee with a head injury and I do worry about if I need another surgery or something how would I do it. Just hearing about the Domicile is a peace of mind.
Thanks again 💯 😊 🌈
Hopefully no more surgery ... keep your spirits high and continue to enjoy life
I want to escape out of jury duty.
Then this life is for you
So how much do the RV and Jeep cost you annually in fees/taxes/inspections in Texas versus South Carolina’s $6000? Thank you.👍🏼😎
It's about $375 in Texas, and Texas no longer requires inspections ... well, this is the last year for inspections
@@SHARINGJOURNEY Does that $375 cover both vehicles?
@rickgriffith1 yes
@@SHARINGJOURNEY Wow! That’s crazy affordable compared to Southern California. Thank you.👍🏼😎
@rickgriffith1 yes remember my vehicles are 5 yrs old
Great info. Thanks for sharing.
