Hi Big Easy, I used two for the fluting, mainly just to see what would work best. A 1/4 and 1/8 tapered ball nose bit. Both worked well, the 1/4" was considerably faster and no real difference in finish. Feel fee to subscribe if you haven't already!

Hey there, thanks for checking it out. Have put the machine through it's paces and I'd definitely place it on the "Buy it if you have the budget" list. I've found it to be a considerable time saver when building cabinets etc, and love the shallower angle of the screws for less induced movement when tightening the pocket screws! Hi there. I have two MFT3 tables, this is very different. Not meant to be as stable and because the mft is a one piece top, all the dog holes are perfectly aligned. This table top has three different sections, so each section is aligned within itself, for setting angles etc, but it will not hold true across the different sections. This one works great for a portable work station to break large panels down or for assembly that doesn’t require reference to the tables dog holes across the separate panels.

Yes, it will take the code that vectric vcarve produces. Just select the right post processor in vectric

Hi William, are you putting the ground clamp on the router collet?

Once you ground the other wire (with the magnet end) on the collet, and without doing anything else, pick up the aluminum probe block and touch it to your bit, you should see the change to green in your screen for as long as it’s touching.

Thanks. I have done that . I also touched the magnet to the aluminum pad . I also disconnected the female end and checked with a ohm meter and have continuity with both magnet on one wire and continuity in the pad wire@@TradeSkillersAnonymous

Hi there. First, I would say that your observations are noted. Would’ve been a rather long video to include all the items you mentioned, but for your benefit I’ll try to clear it up here. I chose to use Vectric Vcarve pro. Google that, you can buy it right from their website and download. However, there are other software choices for running your CNC. Before buying any, I’d recommend downloading the trial versions and see which one is most intuitive to you. In addition to vectric, there is carveco, carbide create and others. I’d recommend you search RUclips for CNC router software to use, there are many videos in the topic that you might find useful. At the end of the day, you have to choose one that you like in order to either design your guitars and the resulting gcode files to send to your machine, or manipulate files that you buy from other people, maybe somewhere like etsy. The bottom line is, yes you need a cad/cam software package as I described above. Regarding wifi, it depends on which onefinity machine you have so let me know in a reply and we can go further on that. Lastly, how to go about getting a file into your machine…….? Either design your own, or buy a file and make it how you want it inside the software. The the software can export that design file as g-code that your onefinity can read. Either by a usb stick, or internet connection, send that gcode file to the machine. Now, having said all that, if you’ve just gotten your machine and haven’t researched software or how it works, you’ve got some work to do.

Yeah, that’s probably a solution, I wonder though if it hangs off the gantry too far would it create issues with flew or something?

@@rrr92462 I'm not sure if I did mention it. I did the upgrade program from the wood worker to the journeyman. Bought the elite foreman separately. The original upgraded woodworker/journeyman was sold to another person after the Elite arrived.

@@TradeSkillersAnonymous I'm already subscribed and find your videos very helpful. I have been retired for a year and a half now and now on my second Onefinity machine. I think I work more now than when I was employed! As for the Shaper, not sure they make a bigger size but I am in the process of scanning tool right now and figured out to lay the Shaper frame over top of longer tools i.e. a framing hammer and take pictures of each segment, then stitch it together in Aspire. The critical piece is to use the "Curve Fit" function set to "Bezier" to reduce the points then double check the tool length width and adjust using the "Set selected vector size" function to match the tool. Although the foam is forgiving I am striving for a secure fit. This is a lot of work but it is satisfying to the OCD side of my personality. And its nice to use the space in the toolbox effectively. I used plywood with nylon pull tabs to add a second layer of tools in deep drawers (Using the 70 mm foam to recess tools on the bottom stack completely). Thanks again for the tip! This is the easiest way to get the tool vectors I've seen yet.

Tell me a little about how you plan to bring a Cnc into your workflow, what will you be doing with it?

I have no direct ties with onefinity, but after a lot of research they were my pick and they’ve been great machines.

I want to use it primarily for woodworking. I hope to replace much of the need for a bandsaw to produce better wood pieces. I also want to make signs using 3D capabilities.

I have another video, one of my first that was pretty popular where I talk about the selection process that I went through when making the same decision you are. I talk about what I wanted, and what I didn’t want and why I chose a onefinity. I’ll find a link and out it here. It might help.

Total area available to cut is the same, it does push the y axis forward by the difference between the 65 and 80mm center point, but you just adjust your spool board if you need to by that same amount.
