    These machines are great. I have the old Porter cable version which is virtually the same machine in a different color. Kreg pocket holes don’t come anywhere near what this thing does. Great job on the video, keep ‘em coming.

      Hey there, thanks for checking it out. Have put the machine through it's paces and I'd definitely place it on the "Buy it if you have the budget" list. I've found it to be a considerable time saver when building cabinets etc, and love the shallower angle of the screws for less induced movement when tightening the pocket screws! Feel fee to subscribe if you haven't already!

    I love pocket holes! I used them for making my CNC table and many other shop projects. That looks like the Cadillac of pocket hole machines.

      The Kreg system works just fine, but Im about to do a ton of pocket holes and had a "Treat yo self" moment! Hope you're doing great!

  • @ellflynn
    @ellflynn Год назад +1

    Besides the shallower angle, the pilot hole goes all the way through unlike the Kreg, so you aren't fighting any issues with tearout. I've taken to dry fitting and pre-drilling with my Kreg holes for important things like trim and face frames, it makes a lot of difference. Still rather have a Castle...!!

    • @TradeSkillersAnonymous
      @TradeSkillersAnonymous  Год назад

      You’re 100% right, the castle won’t leave that punch out/surface bump like the kreg did for me. It’s a big step in costs versus even the biggest kreg package but I’m glad that I have it. I’d invite you to subscribe while you’re here (it’s free!). Thanks again and have a great day!

    There is a place for pocket screws in most shops IMO. I’ve had my eye on this system for a while, versus the Kreg I’ve used for years, just waiting for the project that justifies it!

      Hi Bowers Custom Woodworking, LLC , Thanks for taking the time to view, and comment I really do appreciate it.
      Other tools could do it, and I've used those for quite some time. This was definitely a treat/splurge but Im really glad I did it. Works SUPER fast and efficient!

    Very timely video. I'm building a house with a new woodshop = 16'x32' garage and I'll be building my own cabinets for it, along with cabinets for my wife's sewing room. I'm interested in watching your progress with your shop build, and I'll be sure to take notes on what you designed and how you built it. After getting a new SawStop, and band saw for my shop, a pocket hole machine like you have may in the works.

      Hi Pete Nelson , appreciate you watching and commenting. So, I'll be doing a TON of pocket holes coming up soon, this is definietly a splurge/treat yourself kind of tool. Something like a Foreman would be the next closest competitor for speed and ease, but this thing is amazingly fast and efficient to use.

    Well first, imperial of course for woodworking, easy argument, and metric for most other tasks. I love to use pocket holes, especially on furniture that has concealed components. I love my domino like anyone else, but I think pocket holds are an invaluable resource. I obsoletely loath how it often tears out plywood, so I often use tape to protect the veneer. I think the 110 is in my near future. Maybe they'll have a black Friday deal 🙂

    • @TradeSkillersAnonymous

      Hi Wood Technology , Thanks for taking the time to view, and comment I really do appreciate it. I find the only time I reach for a metric tape is when i need to evenly divide some space, like cabinet carcass that has dividers or something. Easier to use metric for that, but everything else is imperial.

    I make "carriers" for customers to transport display cases that I make. The carriers are assembled with 30 pocket holes cut with my Kreg Forman. I have it properly adjusted and never change it. I do like the fact that the Kreg holes can be plugged, if desired, with either the same wood or a contrasting wood. This unit that you reviewed looks awesome. Quite impressive!

    Lots of vibration super loud clamps from autozone to much money for that You can build one of these in your garage in 4 hours. Definitely your getting paid because I order that machine and it’s a pice of junk campare to the kreg pneumatic 🤷‍♂️ I’m sorry but some has to tell the truth
