I bet 2926's much louder! Her whistle echoes whereas the others don't. Crazy how much steam pressure can work to a whistle's advantage! Also love the adorable Powell 3 Chime in the end!

i will never forget the day i drove by that little park in albuquerque and the forlorn locomotive was gone...20 + years later, it's rebuilt and raring to go, but it hasn't got a route yet...

i will never forget the day i drove by that little park and the locomotive wasn't there, then i saw it parked nearby....i was thrilled to find out that it was going to be rebuilt.

Fun fact, this location was used in Season 3, Episode 1 of Better Call Saul. 32 min and 40 seconds in for Mike to meet with the Vet he gets jobs from. It was such a cool looking location and train turntables are so rare these days I figured some googling would find it. Neat to see it working!

Worked on engine 5 years. The crew was not only extremely talented but the nicest and most inviting group as my friend and I drove over monthly to help out from Texas. Something about being around this engine was uplifting. The engine shines ! Babysitter one night when this video was taken and it was pretty cool sitting in her cab while she simmered
