I want to say the lot trait is not so bad, Langraab won't appear at every bar, nor will the pancakes. In fact this lot trait can be used to stop a bunch of sims4 from showing up on the lot. If you marry off all of your celebrity sims then you can prevent them from showing up too.

I actually like the singles lot trait in everytime I have a sim go to a bar or a lounge all I see is the married base game Townies or the occasional evil or insane random sims🙄. I am super hype for the online dating definitely I just hope it won't be broken like the for rent!!

Connecting to the gallery is a good idea until you realise it's EA and the Sims. The app will likely match you with a relative, someone underage or both, as that is the track record of the Sims. I'm expecting a mess and it's going to be interesting watching it all unfold.

OMG....first off I'm old so it explains how it was so long ago but imagine my shock to see my shirt from highschool .....around 1976/77 featured in the game.... even though it's not the first time. in The Sims 2 they would come up with shirts that I actually still own let alone owned from a long time ago it's kind of unsettling to say the least. But I had almost this exact shirt except mine was with a chocolate brown base and the flowers were all in oranges and gold tones. I don't remember who inspired it from what movie we must have seen but it was a very popular item back then right around the time of Saturday Night Fever but this shirt was not in the movie 13:32 13:32

They got all this from the RPO and Road to Romance mods. Maybe Wicked Whims too.

This should of been base game content. It's garbage that they will release this as a $40 expansion pack when it should of already been in the game

InZoi is what I am looking for, I wasn't at all shocked at the cancellation of LBY, the character models were hideous and needed to be redone for the most part.

I sent Paradox a letter back! We must support this game, Rod Humble and his team! Simmer get so mad at EA and are not afraid to express it, We MUST support this game! It gives us another OPTION! FIGHT BACK EVERYONE!

There was really no acceptable reason for the game to have such terrible art direction. They shot themselves in the foot by not overhauling the visual design and working on the core mechanics when they first revealed the game and got negative feedback. They kept adding smaller features and endlessly working on gardening instead of making real progress during those delays.

We just lost the only game that lets you turn all of the furniture into toilets. This timeline has proven to be a big disappointment!

I wasn't interested in LBY, but I was going to give it a try. I didn't think anything was wrong with the game or anything, I was basing my choice off of developers honestly. I am sad to see it go as I was hoping LBY and paralives would attract most of the sims community, allowing Inzoi to hopefully get a new community. I am hoping for Inzoi to shape up into something fun that isn't the sims. But Korea is notorious for being P2W so the monetization of this game might be what kills it. Hopefully they will settle on 1 or 2 major expansions like MMO's do, but I doubt it.

To be honest, I forgot that LBY existed unless you hear about another delay or it being ugly. Sucks for an EA competitor to be out of the game. But it didn’t really seem that they weren’t even player based off what they said about being far off into having a completed game.

Sad news!!!

I'm seriously sad. I have almost no interest in any of the other life sims coming out. No interest in multiplayer for Vivaland, having Krafton datamine another pretty game full of set dressing in inZoi, or the paper doll cut out look of Paralives. The only life sim I am excited to see now is To Pixelia, but its not 3D. Everything else looks underwhelming and lacking in the ambition Life by You was gonna bring to the genre.

I was never really captivated by life by you the way paralives captured my attention tbh

This is sad but honestly, I think after EA's handling of the Sims, the life sim genre deserves better than Paradox as a publisher can offer. If anyone is confused by that, just look Crusader King's DLC model. People were going in expecting life and competition. But Paradox is more like EA than not when it comes to their monetization model.

Yeah it sucks and is very disappointing. After three almost releases into early access it wasn't looking good but I didn't think cancellation would be on the cards. I was expecting features to be cut to reduce dev time and costs and maybe another year to wait for it.
