I don't understand how they can make a WHOLE expansion pack for "romance". Is this "expansion" pack gonna be a repeat of Horse Ranch "expansion" pack? Or are they adding things they could have added to My Wedding Disasters, like honeymoon vacations?

I think people are still hyping things up and expecting way too much from EA. You'd think after 10 years of disappointment and mostly shallow packs + gameplay features people would finally get that you can't expect much when it comes to Sims 4.

For Rent was ok to me but what made it bad was the bugs.
It had so much potential but yeah the bugs ruined that pack.
I don't think this is just a romantic pack. I think it also has hotels based on the picture.

For me, if they want to do kits, make them specific for certain items.. I would love to get a full kit of new hairstyles, meaningful hairstyles.. not the freak stuff, but real normal type hair styles, no mohawks, no clown hair, no cat hair, normal regular hairstyles.. and same with a pack for clothing as well, a huge kit for clothing, again, not the weird stuff, but do a few look books of stylish clothing.. Makeup, would love to see a good solid kit pack of nothing but real good makeup.. with lots of variant colors and textures, again, not the weird stuff, we got a new Jewelry pack, but what it has in it.. not impressed at all, would love a new kit with nothing but jewelry, lots of new stylish watches, bracelets, rings, necklaces, the kinds of stuff one might find for custom content.. shoes and boots, would also be nice, a complete kit with nothing but shoes and boots would be nice.. I am ok with kits, but not the BS kits we have been getting, if you are going to do a kit, make it for one item like footware, or Jewelry, or clothing, or hairstyles, just do a big whole kit with nothing but these things in it, one at a time.. a footware kit, a jewelry kit, a clothing kit, a hairstyle kit, and do it up right!!

I am not "boycotting" nor have I stopped playing the Sims 4. I am just not buying anything new. Sticking with what I have working offline. I am not overpaying for over hyped, undercooked, overpriced packs. Upsold at too high a price with not enough content and game breaking bugs that just ruin my experience for months.
Let's be real, the "Expansion Pack" is gonna be game pack size just like the last couple "expansions". Personally I am glad the roadmap is light. Expansion or Game pack we do not need more than one in a quarter that way they can actually spend time developing it AND testing it. They can keep the kits for all I care.
That’s a really good point, If they only release one big expansion then they can focus on the bugs/glitches but I still would have liked at least a stuff pack over these kits.
After For Rent, I’m gonna actually wait for once. Just to see how the expansion is gonna be and how it will or won’t effs up the game. Then instant game the pack. I’m not gonna pay full price if it’s gonna be a Horse Ranch situation with the amount of content.
Honestly that makes a lot of sense. I hope more people start doing this with new releases so they can avoid the headache.

We could get more carnival rides in this pack.
I'm very excited about the Pool Waterfalls in the Pool Kit and the Romance EP. I've been begging for a Romance Pack for the longest and the roadmap shows what looks like a carnival popcorn maker like we had in TS3 Store. If we get a carnival popcorn maker we may get more carnival rides in this ep. The EP may have more pool items.
The waterfall looks like something we already have in the game. Why do we even need a pool kit? Those items should have been in the Backyard Stuff Pack or the Island Living expansion pack. Most of those items are recycled or retextured items from previous packs. And the texture and look from some of these kits and packs have looked cheap, clunky, big, gaudy and rushed. And from sneak peaks of the pool kit, there's STILL NO diving boards, cabanas, hammocks, pool slides or a swim up bar...SMH!!!
@lirpa2300 We have a diving platform with a waterfall but not pool waterfall rocks.

I’m excited for the expansion pack I usually just do arranged marriages for my Sims with the help of the chemistry system from Growing Together so now I can tell if they’re actually attracted to each other

I've been wanting better romance for a longtime attraction system, online dating, matchmaker. They better not disappoint me lol 😅 as far as the kits, I don't wanna see anything else involving pools like come on!!!! If they can't think of anything else get more sims creators involved.
I have low expectations but same. The romance in this game doesn’t hit like the past games. Lol another pool related kit but no new pool gameplay I’m confused.
I like kits, they cheap and you get to add items to your game. I think players tend to think every kit is for them, if you don’t like it.. don’t buy it or add it to your game.
Not every kit is gonna appeal to all players, as we are all different and have different play styles.
I understand that but that’s not why I dislike them. Like I said in the video the issue is they’re using kits to fill out content for each quarter which is ridiculous because they don’t add gameplay it’s all clutter and CAS. They should be focusing on adding more gameplay in my opinion.
this is what confuse me about the sims 4, they struggle sooo badly to fix the game, the coding is soo bad that the game can't be fixed, yet placing down more packs is so easy 😔 not only that, this pack might be shallow, broken, and gen z 😭 just woke and safe

I'm sorry, I've been playing The Sims games for 24 years. Sims 1 did romance better than sims 4. I have stopped playing 4 completely, don't even let my girls play it. A "romance' pack that is going to come out broken is not going to bring me back. The only thing that could bring me back is info from a trusted source that they have gone in and fixed all the major bugs. That's thats the only way. A new pack that is going to come out just as buggy if not more than the last? Nope.
I completely understand, The Sims 4 hasn’t had a good track record lately so it makes why people aren’t excited or skeptical.
@@SuperiorSimmer Honestly, its a little more than lately. I've gone back to Sims 1 for a little while now so I use a lot of Sims 1 references... Sims 1 had working restaurants and Sims 4 had sims 1 babies. Is Sims 1 a perfect game? No, that's why we got Sims 2. But it WORKED and it worked the way they said it would. With Sims 4, things rarely work they way they say it will and they have the ability to send out fixes to every player's game, but they don't. Sims 1 and 2 especially had to do it right the first time because they didn't have that ability. Yeah, I've given up on 4.
I’m like that too when it comes to comparing the old games specifically The Sims 2 since I grew up on that one mostly. You’re absolutely right tho, The older games didn’t have that luxury to send out patches yes games are gonna have bugs/glitches but main features in a pack shouldn’t be broken and sold to us.

Can't wait to see the huge dissapointment of these add-ons and billions of posts and videos about the glitches, bugs, lag, the failed relationship system, the new tiny world and the decorative objects without any gameplay. Anyway, I'm still gonna "buy them" just for the laughs. It's sad how the previous games, even the console games and portable were awesome titles and now is just a pretty cashgrab beta. Thanks to all the modders who still make this thing playable and more fun.

That roadmap is ugly af. To be honest, I disliked the attraction system/sexual orientation system (the way it was added years later) because it was lackluster and seemed like it was just implemented to appease people. However, this new romance pack is making me excited. I was hoping they would update the sexual orientation system a bit. At this point, I'm just waiting for The Sims game to die and see modders take it over or for some other company to take over because any company would be better than EA at this point.

Better come with more than just online dating. We have so many social apps now in game it won't hit as hard or be able to hold up as the main feature in an EP.

@@SuperiorSimmer it id Sad cause it had the chance to be really good. But on my latest files my interactions like friendly , mean, funny. All of it is gone. And my sim is a vampire and even that interaction is gone. So I look it up delete my mods create a new savefile and the same thing is happening
