the bistro kit basically hits the spot for me though. that was the only reason i would have ever bought the dine out pack: for the booth(resturant seating sofas) and the aesthetic not to mention how buggy the resturants can be. so im sooo okay with all that. got it for the price point i want.
i much rather just get to work have a store and sell my "foods" items not the hospitality resturant aspect at all

Even though bar gameplay comes in BG, the kit name is Cafe Bistro. Cafes sells coffee which you would need Get Together for and bistros sell food which you would need Dine Out for. So I see where the criticism of this being DLC for (broken) DLC is coming from.

They should really start just releasing world kits, that's it. My save file needs more worlds, I'm running out of lots.
People are asking if the new if the bistro set requires dine out or if it will have it own gameplay. The answer is no to both. It is purely aesthetic, and anyone who hopes for more is going to be very disappointed.
Honestly you can order food at all the base game bars and it works better than dine out. So you can set up a simple dining place built around a base game bar and have it be a “bar”. If you have get together there are food option at the cafe and people have been building restaurants around the home chef hustle selling table. Works really well.
I still think the kit is boring but there are ways to make a bistro functionally speaking without dine out. I have plenty of lots that aren’t really bars but just have the bar lot trait to generate a bartender I can order from but I mostly use it as a simple eat out location for my sims.

but... kits are NEVER new stuff theyre always just reskins to make things aesthetic. basically what they are. bust the dust was the only new gameplay kit and it was one thing. i think if theres ever another "new gameplay" kit again it will be the same just one single thing. im not bothered by that personally. its giving ferocious sims 3 store vibes though, flashbacks

Not gonna lie, these two kits look great, like....I kinda want them. Which I'll download them for free by nafarious means because I refuse to pay until EA gets their crap together with this game. Ugh....🙄 These two kits are my astetics to a T. Lolz....I wish they would fix Dine Out. I've never used Mods and I just want EA to fix their damn game. I'm frustrated
