You slander the name of Island Living, I love her and shall hear no such Slander!!! That being said, they are both EXPANSION packs not game packs. I don't understand how they can put something on sale that is broken, that doesn't work properly, and to top it off, put it at such a high price. It's shameful.
I love vampires personally and would not play the Sims without it, like the gothic architecture stuff is a necessity for the styles of builds I want to create and there's a mod I have that enables vampires to turn sims into "human cattle" to feed off of and you can choose to allow or not allow them to even talk to other Sims. I love how dark that is. (Google Vampires Can Kill by Zero Sims 4 Mods to play with this, it's so fun!) I feel vampires suffer the most with the Sims age rating as you can do goofy "werewolves peeing in the house and ripping up furniture" stuff with them but the appeal of vampires is to have much darker, sexier gameplay about power exchanges, losing touch with one's humanity, being able to rob hospitals for blood would have been an easy and thoughtful addition. If you're doing vampires you need to engage with a lot of not family friendly stuff or they're boring.
Parenthood is more important for caring for infants than Growing Together. Yeah, I said it. I love Jungle Adventure and don't play it that often. I did make it the base of one of my legacy generations. Werewolves is one of my favorite. I only bought Vampires and RoM because of the alleged lore crossover.
I was so disappointed with dream home decorator. I love building, and the bugs when trying to do that career were unreal. Certain lots I would just have to skip because my sim would clip through the building and get stuck, or the clients would end up in a never ending loop and I couldn’t exit the lot because the even was still going on/couldn’t end the event. It was frustrating spending time making a room beautiful and then you have to completely restart because the gameplay is broken.
Dine out is already patched. Check it out. And Jungle adventure has 3 whole different temples that randomly change everytime you visit. There is an archeology temple that have focus moodlet and make you gain archeology skill faster. The garden temple that make you gain gardening skill faster. Etc.
I like the vampires pack but then again I am very biased, since generally I like vampires and I like having a vampire character as opposed to just a plain ol' sim, I also like the stuff that comes with it because it's an aesthetic I love. So I think when it comes to that, it's a matter of taste more than anything.
I am confused as to why you did rank Jungle adventures so low. Your arguments were practically the same for stranger Ville. "Play it once a year". You did recommend JA in earlier shorts. What changed? Spa day ist ranked way too high. Jungle adventure can turn you into a skeleton or give you a deadly sickness and has secret parts of the map to explore. Compare that with manicures and massages.
He contradicts himself a lot. That's what makes these lists from some Simmers super aggravating. Differing opinions are fine, but make sure you don't contradict yourself.
Satch even mentioned that you can live in Strangerville, so you can use it all the time, unlike Jungle Adventure. I almost always live in Strangerville if I only have one or two sims, so Strangerville has a lot more use. I also actually quite like the CAS from the pack. I don't have Jungle Adventure, so I don't know what it's like, but I honestly love Strangerville. Something else to note, is that you can play the Strangerville story different ways each time by gathering evidence, the card, etc in different ways.
Considering Granite Fall being the first Game Pack world they made, I think it's not too bad, tho I agree the lake should be swimmable (the team should update every old worlds on that matter)... It just sucks it's a vacation world, it could be a good extra world for anybody who like to play with occults.
Only one I don't agree with is Parenthood. It's a pack I regret buying. The responsible and manners traits are too easy to learn while the other three are nearly impossible to obtain without hyper focusing on constantly repeating the interactions for them. Plus much of the clothing is wildly patterned making it hard to match anything with it. However, the build stuff is nice and the curfew board is actually amazing.
I actually kinda like the outdoor pack🤣 considering I love vacationing to the mountains(it reminds me of that) it's the only world I think an actual log cabin type house fits in. There isn't really much to do tho.
I remember playing the vampires originally, doing the main aspirations, working my way up the perk chart and was all rather dull but then I bought lovestruck and my vampire family started having everyone fall in love with them and lots of vampire children. I think the game packs lack a lot when just playing them in their vanilla form but adding other packs on or having another theme going can be fun. Like a homeless run away teen who becomes a spellcaster or a charming ,famous musician who happens to be a werewolf or a vampire who works as a doctor and spends their free-time practicing yoga.
The modular couch looks good when you add cc pillows and cozy blankets... But there's also cc modular couches that look better in and off itself sooooo
4:51 One vampire power I will never get bored with is being able to enter every house without permission so you can wreak absolute havoc on the poor households all night long.
Ea did my wedding stories pack dirty man, everything is just so beautiful but it ended up being so buggy even tho i wanna get the pack so much i remember the bugs will just make wedding as a mechanic much worse
I remember when outdoor retreat came out, my mom spent So much money on it for me I just HAD to try to find a way to make myself like it. But back then there wasn’t much to the sims 4 so maybe it the lack of other gameplay. 😂 thank you for validating my feelings Satch!
Vampires and jungle adventure deserve to be ranked higher. Vampires is not quite as good as werewolves but it is nicely done. The perk system allows customisation of vampire powers that can result in very different storylines. Jungle adventures isn't about finishing one temple as quickly as possible. If you want to build up archeology, explore all jungle locations and complete the treasure collection, you can play with this pack for quite a while. The inside of the temples also varies a lot between the five designs and the traps aren't always the same for each layout. The build buy is also great. Parenthood is great but it lacks the option to disable the pop up for parenting questions.
I only play as vampire sims, vampire run-bat form-and allure are essential for my gameplay style. Plus the fact the do not age means huge family trees. i liked werewolves. But. They will die off and no new ones spawn, so Moonwood Mill and your save will be empty of all werewolves. Spellcasters are too easy to top out. The world is awful. Mummies would be a nice addition to Jungle Adventure.
I agree with everything you said about vampires but for some reason it's still my favourite game pack 😂 I almost always play as a vampire I just love it haha
I would disagree about Vampires. I think that pack is awesome and the powers cover a vast variety of Vampire lore (not just the stupid Twilight vampires) so they feel very versatile. The weaknesses give some much-needed flaws to Sims that can challenge the player. I also love the ambience of Forgotten Hollow, just wish it was bigger. Also love the unique CAS and the shabby, aged, dark Victorian vibe. I'd switch Vampires with Parenthood on your list. Parenthood is annoying with the endlessly messy kids everywhere, the b/b is meh, and there's no world and the bear phase is kind of dumb. Unpopular opinion there, but eh, it is what it is. I also don't mind that Occults were separated. I think they're better than previous games and have more individualized identities. Realm of Magic should have been an EP in itself, like Magic Town. Magic is a huge thematic concept, and they really dropped the ball there. My main issue with Occults always being confined to GPs is that the worlds are always tiny so we never get a large, cool, supernatural world to play with. It also doesn't help any of the worlds that we can't change the neighborhoods or environments like we could in past games. That is a HUGE setback that would make quite a bit of difference if they changed it. I'm still salty about that terrible decision. Static worlds will always become boring.
To be fair worlds have universally gotten smaller even in expansion packs. There are expansion packs with small worlds so I don't think expansion or game pack is defining world size at this point. Either the game literally can't handle a large world anymore due to the number of packs the engine now supports OR Maxis just doesn't want to make larger worlds anymore. I actually do think Game Pack is perfect for most occults. Almost all of them could have had more done. But Mermaids were part of basically a conservationist pack and Aliens were an afterthought in Get To Work. Both might have benefited from a game pack sized focus. Sixam might have got to be a "real world". I got both packs (GTW and Island living) for their other features, not the occults and I think occult focused game packs are just about the perfect size and price for being able to only add the occults you want (if any). I agree, not being able to customize the maps has nerfed Sims 4 terribly because it was originally designed to be a completely different game which I think affected the style of map implimentation they were using.
In some ways I agree. I also love the occults, but I think each has flaws. Vampires - downfall is that plenty of the clothing pieces are.... A choice... (Not the historical pieces; the modern leathery ones that still seem confused which era they are from). The small world I can work with. Werewolves - I adore them, but their "powers" are more like... Unlock your needs in wolf form... Then there's like 6 or 8 different howls...why!? Why are there that many?? That leaves a handful of actual "powers" like seeing in the dark and hunting. Again small world I can work with... I do kind of dislike everything is shabby giving them that dog chew toy look. Spellcasters - I don't get the potions branch as a "power". There are several packs involving similar things like mixing ingredients for __. Example: herbalism, the children chemistry set, the potions you buy from aspiration points, also Vampires kind of has "potions" because you mix tonics at a bar after learning their lore I'll leave out the others because I don't play with mermaids or aliens very much, but I do count strangerville as an occults pack. Also parenthood is probably one of the packs I might use two objects from ever and the rest collect virtual dust that even bust the dust can't clean
I loved playing dine out, but whenever I got my workers close to skill level 10, they would disappear and I would need to hire new workers. Made me so annoyed to loose progress like that
With the vampires, I find the Mist Form to be redundant :/ it's just the Bat form, but without the Bat, and why the heck is it in the Grand Master rank??? They could have put something else there, like maybe a wolf form or something (like how some Vampires can turn into wolves)
I don't really like Werewolfs. I think they are super boring, you just can't do anything with them.I prefer Realm of Magic. Parenthood is one of my favourites as well though,
Love it: parenthood (cheaper than growing together but more gameplay/stuff), werewolves Ok, But: strangerville, realm of magic, Don't bother: spa say (bad gameplay, good buildmode), vampires, jungle adventure (fun but small world), Severe: outdoor retreat (lackluster), dine out (awful implementation), dreamhome decorator, Bad: batuu Trash: my wedding stories
wow, i don't think ive ever seen a game pack ranking that I agree with so much. i maybe rate spa day slightly higher than you do (due to my love of the wellness skill) but i'd definitely put it in the same tier
Poor outdoor retreat. The biggest cope ever was trying to like it when it came out. It was the only place the sims could go on vacation and it seemed to make them more stressed out when they returned. All of the camping gear just makes them miserable and gives them bad sleep and pain moodlets. Why??? Thats part of the fun of camping.
Agree with most of these. My Dine Out works ok now, still a bit long but nowhere near as glitchy (it was unplayable beforehand). I’m not one for occult packs. I sometimes get packs just for the build items and worlds not the game play.
I play Sims 3 and Sims 4 (also sims 2 sometimes) ... sims 4 is so aggravating to me. There is so much potential but terrible execution. Live mode is so much better in 2 and 3.
I somehow lost all my packs 😢 has anyone else experienced this? I tried contacting EA but no answer. I just want them back but it looks like I would have to buy them all again, yeah bye!
Realm of magic was fun for one evening of gameplay. Then I maxed out everything. And it made normal gameplay boring as fuck because you could just copy moneytrees, spawn entire meals, and become immortal? After one evening of fucking around? Please sims 4 I need a hard mode option for everything
I hate werewolves due to the way they look. I bought that pack influenced by you but I can't stand looking at those dogs😂. Vampires are essential even if their world is so lame.
Dream Home Decorator pack items are horrible with the lighting in the game. Sometimes I give *it another whirl, but every time the colors totally look like s*it when placed.
I think EA/Maxis went on a journey to figure out what a Game pack was and honestly they are a mix of overpriced stuff packs with an identity problem and nerfed expansion packs. That being said, I have kinda been swayed on the idea that each occult having their own pack isn’t terrible as I was in the fence about wanting Aliens in my game but wanted other features locked with get to work. The occults being game packs is one of the few things I’ll give to Sims 4 as a plus, even tho the results are hit or miss and game packs need about $10 knocked off the price, I like that you can choose to play with one occult, some occults, or no occults. But I also wish there was more crosspack lore between them. I also think Jungle Adventure and Strangerville are equally good. One gives you a linear story, the other gives you a collectables loop. Because travel in Sims 4 has zero weight, you can go on a “jungle adventure” without renting a vacation cabin. I find it more immersive to have to plan a vacay to Salvadora for my digs with my archeology sim, but you can just go on one from your house in any other world in like two clicks and once you can ‘survey for dig sites’ they aren’t as much of a pain to do. I also frequently take the camping gear from ‘outdoor retreat’ along on Jungle Adventure and will pitch a tent when the sun goes down, replenish needs from a cooler, and do the trip to the temple over several sim days which I find a fun mash up of Jungle Adventure and outdoor retreat. And while archeology isn’t an official ‘job’ I find going on digs as my Sim’s freelance job more fun then painting (which is overpowered) or anything that involves watching your sim at a computer or reading a skill book for sim hours. And since I don’t play a Sim-self or one Sim all the time the loop isn’t boring because my archelogy sims are different people with different lives. So I frequently circle back around to the collection loop of archeology. ‘Not as good as world adventures’ will always haunt it, but for what you can do in Sims 4….and if you like a ‘collectables’ journey, I find it fun. Once you complete Strangerville in a save, especially for legacy play where time marches on after, you basically just get a new normal town. Which isn’t bad. You also have the military career which I was happy to see return but unless you start a new save or revive the mother its easy for Strangerville to just become another un-Strange map. Where as you can always play a new sim doing archeology for the first time even in legacy play with aging on and time moving on. If you don’t really like the loop of sandboxes and aren’t intrested in ‘collectable journeys through different eyes’ I can get why these loops might become boring but that’s why I like a rotation through households within the same save, every sim week I’m on a different person’s journey. And when I come back to someone they always feel fresh because I haven’t played them in awhile so doing the things they like to do is different from the sim I played before them. Even if its something I (as the player) have done before.
It works better for me than most people it seems too. And I actually really like to build a fancy restaurant for my rich sims to just command their staff around and chat with other sims I created. It's also funny to see who shows up with his wife and who with his side chick. 😅
I’ve used it more for dining out then running restaurants but most of the time it works fine. Maybe twice my sims were there a crazy long time and never got there order, but most of the time it works just fine for me. Like 95% success rate ‘dining out’. I do feel like the systems could be simplified though. And they missed the ball not letting sims be chefs in their own restaurant and hiring family/friends as employees. But those are design flaws more than the pack ‘not working’.
I was thinking the same!! But he did the kits, stuff packs, expansion packs and now game packs in different videos. I was checking his channel, because I was confused, too. Haha
I disagree with vampires and such. I do feel a game pack per occult is way better. Vampires with the effort of mermaids or aliens would suck. I adore vampires though so biased.
I don't get who people love the Sims 4 franchise and more specifically broken packs such as Dine Out, MWS and For Rent like... Oh! Ok! I love my SEVERE toxic ex and nostalgically reminiscing but at least I'm aware this is my fault if you know what I mean.
he may have just been only been on abt one factor like maybe the world, he said it’s not the best. but here he’s comparing all of the things like the world, cas, build items etc
A 💩category just for Journey to Batuu... That's very fitting. If you have Outdoor Retreat, you also need the A Bug Life mod that cause the bugs to appear on your Sim's home lot. In addition to the bugs, it offers new plants, a new skill and a new aspiration. NONE add any interesting game play. If you get Dine Out, then, you absolutely need the Dine Out Reloaded mod. Sorry, console players😭 Vampire... The ONLY worthwhile thing in that pack is the pipe organ.🤢 Parenthood actually improve your game when you jave toddlers pr kids.👍🏾 Thank to the home projects, I got kids aging up to teen with logic and handiness skill over 7, and, teens aging up to young adult with 8 in rocketry and 6 in robotics. Jungle Adventure... The archaeology skill can get pretty lucrative. At level 8+, you start receiving artefacts to authentify, and those are worth at least §3500, up to §5000 each. Realms of Magic... At times, it's almost feels like cheating. Something scorched ? Repairio ! A dead plant ? Herbio ! And, bonus, it's ready to evolve. Something dirty that your Sims can't reach ? Impecablo ! That pesky ghost who died from drowning and make puddles everywhere ? Dedeathify ! Need something to eat quick and don't have a place to prepare food ? Delicioso ! Need a cake for a birthday real quick ? Celebrato ! Then, on normal or long life span, it's entirely possible to get ALL of the perks. And, the potion of youth will reset your age to the start of the current age bracket. ANY Sim aged teen or older can drink any potion, even if some are totally pointless for any non-spell caster. There is a mod that allow kids to learn magic, brew and use potions. Dream Home Decorator. Don't just use the likes & dislikes that you learn from your interactions. Take a look at the family in CaS to learn those. If you have My Wedding Story, add «disablepacks:GP11» in the property of the game. That will DISABLE that abomination the next time you start the game.
Satch completely ignoring Journey to Batuu sent me ☠☠

Certain lots I would just have to skip because my sim would clip through the building and get stuck, or the clients would end up in a never ending loop and I couldn’t exit the lot because the even was still going on/couldn’t end the event. It was frustrating spending time making a room beautiful and then you have to completely restart because the gameplay is broken.
Dine out is already patched. Check it out.
And Jungle adventure has 3 whole different temples that randomly change everytime you visit. There is an archeology temple that have focus moodlet and make you gain archeology skill faster. The garden temple that make you gain gardening skill faster. Etc.
I love the idea of dream home decorator but the fact I can't even leave bc it is bugged out to not end my work day ruins it for me. so glitched.
I kinda love vampires gameplay features more than werewolfs
Love how honest you are! Hold them accountable!
Considering Granite Fall being the first Game Pack world they made, I think it's not too bad, tho I agree the lake should be swimmable (the team should update every old worlds on that matter)... It just sucks it's a vacation world, it could be a good extra world for anybody who like to play with occults.
i actually love outdoor retreat. probably nostalgia speaking but it deserves a refresh cause it could’ve been SO good. justice for outdoor retreat
I love Outdoor Retreat too. And it does add loads of new foods. And there's also cloud/star gazing for quick inspiration.
I'd buy the wedding pack just for the world. It's absolutely stunning.
I’ve started to appreciate Dine Out more and I’m actually using its gameplay features now because of Carl’s dine out mod
The modular couch looks good when you add cc pillows and cozy blankets... But there's also cc modular couches that look better in and off itself sooooo
Surely, SURELY, Batuu will be the next free pack? I want Kylo’s babies
4:51 One vampire power I will never get bored with is being able to enter every house without permission so you can wreak absolute havoc on the poor households all night long.
My dine out works perfectly 4:15
As a new Sims 4 player, your content is so useful to choose how to best spend my money
Tbh I find that a lot of people bought the vampires pack literally just for Caleb Vatore. 😭😭
Just fix that hair... And the brows.
Ea did my wedding stories pack dirty man, everything is just so beautiful but it ended up being so buggy even tho i wanna get the pack so much i remember the bugs will just make wedding as a mechanic much worse
I remember when outdoor retreat came out, my mom spent
So much money on it for me I just HAD to try to find a way to make myself like it.
Example: herbalism, the children chemistry set, the potions you buy from aspiration points, also Vampires kind of has "potions" because you mix tonics at a bar after learning their lore
I'll leave out the others because I don't play with mermaids or aliens very much, but I do count strangerville as an occults pack.
Also parenthood is probably one of the packs I might use two objects from ever and the rest collect virtual dust that even bust the dust can't clean
We only got Vampires because of Caleb Vatore😍
We only got Realm of Magic because of Morgyn Ember😍
Then we shipped those 2 together🌈💕
I loved playing dine out, but whenever I got my workers close to skill level 10, they would disappear and I would need to hire new workers. Made me so annoyed to loose progress like that
quality content as always satch ✨✨
With the vampires, I find the Mist Form to be redundant :/ it's just the Bat form, but without the Bat, and why the heck is it in the Grand Master rank??? They could have put something else there, like maybe a wolf form or something (like how some Vampires can turn into wolves)
i use dream home decorator in almost all of my builds lol
I love the outdoor retreat pack, why is it hated so much? 😭
I agree, and of all game packs, Outdoor Retreat is my second favorite... only behind Jungle Adventure.
I don't really like Werewolfs. I think they are super boring, you just can't do anything with them.I prefer Realm of Magic. Parenthood is one of my favourites as well though,
Since I'm not a builder, I think Dream Home Decorator is the worst LOL.
Love it: parenthood (cheaper than growing together but more gameplay/stuff), werewolves
Ok, But: strangerville, realm of magic,
Don't bother: spa say (bad gameplay, good buildmode), vampires, jungle adventure (fun but small world),
Severe: outdoor retreat (lackluster), dine out (awful implementation), dreamhome decorator,
Bad: batuu
Trash: my wedding stories
wow, i don't think ive ever seen a game pack ranking that I agree with so much. i maybe rate spa day slightly higher than you do (due to my love of the wellness skill) but i'd definitely put it in the same tier
Poor outdoor retreat. The biggest cope ever was trying to like it when it came out. It was the only place the sims could go on vacation and it seemed to make them more stressed out when they returned. All of the camping gear just makes them miserable and gives them bad sleep and pain moodlets. Why??? Thats part of the fun of camping.
i love strangerville and the world. idk its slaps for me
Agree with most of these. My Dine Out works ok now, still a bit long but nowhere near as glitchy (it was unplayable beforehand). I’m not one for occult packs. I sometimes get packs just for the build items and worlds not the game play.
is it worth getting dine out now with the spring sale?
My wedding stories is so bad its kinda fun to play with
Parenthood, Jungle Adventure & Werewolves are the only game packs i own, and i don't see that changing unless something amazing comes along
I agree with what he said about wedding stories and outdoor retreat
I play Sims 3 and Sims 4 (also sims 2 sometimes) ... sims 4 is so aggravating to me. There is so much potential but terrible execution. Live mode is so much better in 2 and 3.
I somehow lost all my packs 😢 has anyone else experienced this? I tried contacting EA but no answer. I just want them back but it looks like I would have to buy them all again, yeah bye!
the only 2 game packs that i have are exactly werewolf and parenthood and this is why :D
Realm of magic was fun for one evening of gameplay. Then I maxed out everything. And it made normal gameplay boring as fuck because you could just copy moneytrees, spawn entire meals, and become immortal? After one evening of fucking around? Please sims 4 I need a hard mode option for everything
I love outdoor retreat
“But you can’t really do anything in this world”
Literally every ts4 world…and that’s just sad
Do you recomend buying Dine Out if I install that one mod that actually makes it work?
girl just 🏴☠️it lmao
I feel like I just watched a video of his saying that vampires were really good? I feel like he flip flops his opinion I'm confused 😭
Is it only me who dose not get bugs?
Not you starting the video with Batuu in its own tier 😭
There's no reason DHD should be a game pack: it's a glorified stuff pack which makes it even more obvious when comparing it to the Supernatural SP
The way my face LIT UP when you mentioned Makin' Magic!! One of my all-time favorites
I cant be the only one whos had a smooth Dine Out experience
But those are design flaws more than the pack ‘not working’.
wait i feel like i have just seen like 3-4 videos with the same title from you, am i tweaking or are u recording the same video every week lol?
I was thinking the same!! But he did the kits, stuff packs, expansion packs and now game packs in different videos. I was checking his channel, because I was confused, too. Haha
@@txrja omg i get so confused with the sims sometimes
Vampires are good in my opinion
I disagree with vampires and such. I do feel a game pack per occult is way better. Vampires with the effort of mermaids or aliens would suck. I adore vampires though so biased.
I don't get who people love the Sims 4 franchise and more specifically broken packs such as Dine Out, MWS and For Rent like... Oh! Ok! I love my SEVERE toxic ex and nostalgically reminiscing but at least I'm aware this is my fault if you know what I mean.
I love you, your the reason why im playing sims 4 love your content
Nah, I disagree for dream home decorator but I understand what you mean. Real of magic was TERRIBLE. So much missed potential it hurts me
didn't you say that vampires were one of the best when you ere ranking ocuults?
he may have just been only been on abt one factor like maybe the world, he said it’s not the best. but here he’s comparing all of the things like the world, cas, build items etc
The worse one for me was My Wedding Day stories or whatever it’s called.
I can’t tell if liking the werewolves pack makes me a furry or not
How dare you disrespect Dream Home Decorator! 😂😂 I don’t know why why I am hooked on that dated pack. You speak the truth…that’s why we listen.
I like Realm of Magic so much more than Werewolves
The Wedding one was complete Trash.... So, glad I won it for free from a giveaway Lol.
Didnt EA fix mws?
Batuu!? Batuu!!!!??
Batuu in it's own bottom tier and never mentioned, as it should be.
Sorry, console players😭
Vampire... The ONLY worthwhile thing in that pack is the pipe organ.🤢
Parenthood actually improve your game when you jave toddlers pr kids.👍🏾 Thank to the home projects, I got kids aging up to teen with logic and handiness skill over 7, and, teens aging up to young adult with 8 in rocketry and 6 in robotics.
That will DISABLE that abomination the next time you start the game.
i just want preteens and hobbies
Homeboy, you just hate everything. Have you considered just like...mellowing out?
There is nothing to love in the sims 4
:
🐼
The Sim 4 series is a whole series of nothing🥂
9th comment!!!!
