i think it is really fantastic that simsie has been telling us about the toilets and the nowhere stairs for years now and theyre just. still like that. they didnt fix it.
I don't understand how can The Sims Team not renovate the worlds, they didn't even re-add the pools to the houses that originally were supposed to have it like the Landgraab mansion. We've had the pool update for over 7 years!
I was in the boat of “I can just fix the broken lots, what’s the issue??” until Simsie mentioned that kids or new players would have no idea how to fix it or what was wrong. That is SUCH a valid point and I can’t believe I hadn’t thought of that!
So true! I was pretty young playing sims 2 on PC and not really getting into building. I then went to sims 3 on Wii and never built at all. So to be a young player and have no toilets in my house, and having a very hard time building one, I get jt
i was playing sims 4 as a 10 year old and whenever there were glitches i had no idea what was happening i played on ps4 too so i couldn’t even find a different lot on the gallery because it didn’t exist yet
Then we can get different regimes may be like you can pick your age and gaming status (beginner or a pro) and then open the ability to these who will know what to do with it. Building worlds was the main thing I loved about sims 2 and after they took that away I just can’t bring myself to enjoy newer games at all.
I really wish The Sims team would implement an "apartment" lot type. I hate how lacking in apartments we are, too, and I think it would be so cool to be able to build our own.
Sadly I don’t think they ever will because it was *the* main selling point for city living and an important aspect of eco lifestyle (not to the same degree as the gameplay of this pack or city livings apartments, but still one if it’s more prominent features). The suits at EA know they’d lose sales (on city living especially) if they did this, so they never will :(
@@MeganJester i don't see why they couldn't make it a lot type unlocked by either eco or city - like how the retail one comes with get to work, the restaurant with dine out etc
@@morganfaire5684 it was initially just in city living. They only expanded it to eco lifestyle because we said we wanted more apartments. They heard that request and never even considered the idea of making it base game.
@@MeganJester Then they should make apartment lots only available for those with City living. It makes sense for the packs theme, and would likely boost sales if anything.
@@mariaisabel-rb1gc I'd love to see some new island world inspired by a mix of Cuba/dominican rep/bahamas/barbados cuz its really different vibe from sulani
Yeah I feel like the pack worlds I love the most are the ones that feel more unique. Tartosa, mt komorebi, henford on bagley, sulani, all feel very unique to me as someone in the US. I prefer my sims living there as opposed to willow creek, which feels like every neighborhood in the US (minus any crime or grime bc sims 4 is a happiness simulator). I know why they did it with San Sequoia. It’s a family pack, I get it. But it feels like copperdale is kinda the same thing?
@@MeganJesterI completely agree. I honestly feel like I’d be much more interested in generations ep if it wasn’t just another U.S. based world style. I mean come on there are so so many other cultures that are family focuses (more so than the us) that could have been used.
I feel like henford is top tier when you take into account all the townies and lore in that world, the fairs and errands you can do for that specific world. When taking that into consideration it makes it a super unique world and you cant do that in any other world.
The most I ever interact with Judith (the owner of the toilet-less house) is either having her in my relationship tab due to PR agency adding me to her party, actively hating her with my sim, or that one time I got Fame lvl 1 from purely becoming friends with celebs buy her a drink, or at least offer and cancel out ordering it, and you'll get her phone number, after that befriend her via phone calls and texts (pretty hard) and when you invite her just hope she'll strike up a conversation first I love how the fact sims can interact with our celebs if they talk to them first works the other way around with other celebs
del sol valley is an amazing world, from the view of the world ITSELF, not including the builds. the lots are too big in mirage park so it’s frustrating only build on a portion of a lot or fill up the lot with empty debug buildings. if the lots are replaced, it’s definitely a really good world, except for the fact that it’s small with no apartments/beach front houses.
Strangerville, Sulani and Windenburg are my favorite worlds to live in. I also wish they'd add more apartments but better yet, give us the ability to build our own apartment buildings.
you also have to consider that sulani was made during the flop era. this shows that they had the CAPABILITIES to make a good world, but just didn’t care enough in the other flop era worlds because those were not world based packs (except strangerville); island living was.
something that REALLY annoys me about san sequoia is the fact that almost ALL the lots are 30x20 yet the treehouses take up half of that!!! it feels like a huge oversight on their part
I wish they would make a update to make Selvadorada (and Granite Falls) residencial world... When we see that world like Sulani of Mt Komorebi are actual Worlds, Selvadorada would fit perfectly with them (especially now that we can put rental lots EVERYWHERE)
I know! I've been doing an around-the-world legacy challenge, and if Selvadorada was liveable, it'd add a much needed SOUTH (or Central) American bit of variety. We've got butt-tons of obviously-based-off-the-U.S. neighborhoods, but if we had residential Selvadorada and Granite Falls, I could say the family was moving to, like, Peru, or Canada. As it is, the family's living in all "different" places "around the world" is mostly gonna be the U.S. of A. :P
@@robinchesterfield42 I mean there is nothing stopping the Sims from having a Residential world and a explorer world in the same pack. like for Salvadoran the Residental/livable world is a more closer to the nations/regions Capital/city/town whit the world been a 4 lot in a group city/town whit a "modern" city feel to it, a 4 slot suberb, and a 4 slot wannabe wilderness livers but its only 30-90 min by train/bus from the city edge kind of deal. and the explorer(what we got now) is the pure wilderness kind of deal. Like I would also love a more explorer Sunami world.
I downloaded a mod to make them residential, and my sim’s wife (the townie Zoe Patel) is “Selvadoradian,” and her parents live there. It’s so useful and adds some much needed cultural diversity to the gameplay.
same, my legacy challenge family is in Sulani and if someone forced me to choose only one sims 4 pack to buy it would be Island Living. I love mt. komerebi too but I would place Henford on Bagley as my 2nd favorite.
New crest is annoying at first, when it’s empty. But honestly, the fact that I can have neighbors that live close to me and I can visit them and have the freedom of placing all the kinds of lots I want… that top tier to me ♥️
I actually kinda like that Newcrest always starts out as a blank slate and you can basically build it entirely from scratch, it makes it such a unique world with endless possibilities. I understand the critique of it being annoying having to build it over and over again but it’s so easy to just make a default save file with it filled out and use that as the jumping off point for each new playthrough, or just not use Newcrest if you don’t want to constantly add lots to it. My main critique with it is that the world around it kind of demands you build a certain way since there’s always those debug buildings around and you kind of have to copy their architectural style for it to not look out of place. I sorta wish the overworld was just empty or the debug houses designed to blend into a variety of cityscapes.
Granite falls could be a lot better if there were community events like a fishing tournament or a communal campfire or stuff like that to make your sims on vacation get involved in doing something
agreed, this world isn't that bad but it's no good either, it's just rather boring i hope for a refresh someday with more things to do like climbing, telling stories while on campfire with the others, fishing, gardening, even swimming in water it for sure needs something that feels so alive and more things to do
Agreed. No matter how I play it (sim there to fulfil aspiration, or family trip, or sending a group of friends), I get so bored! It’s not the worst if you send them there for one day, mayybe two, but after the second day I’m done. Not much to do and it all looks the same!
@@shadybaby1515 Well, the surroundings and liveliness of the pack brings all the joy. The constant come-and-go of Events, fairs, competitions make the pack really great. They just had to create more apartments and make them better. I hate it when 9/10 apartments have these high walls and small rooms. It makes everything seem so small and weird. New packs just for apartments will hopefully come out just like Eco Living. They added two apartmentbuildings with their own destiny.
@@shadybaby1515 I would definitely buy another pack with apartments! Yeah not the main focus, but it’s daily living for a LOT of people irl, and it’d only make sense to be casually put into other worlds other than purely City Living and Eco Lifestyle. Also, Eco Lifestyle had apartments to show more ‘realistic’ middle-class living, so that can also be implemented into new worlds.
The sims team deciding to hire simmers to build for them was the best decision they've ever made. Every world that has had simmers build lots have been sooo good
Saying that she'd never just have her avg sim in Forgotten Hollow gave me a hilarious living concept. Creating just as Average of a human sim as possible and then have them live surrounded by vampires and you can set like goals or whatever but the Main Goal is to remain human and not get killed by neighbors (on accident or on purpose)
@@YouKnowImOnMyPeriodYah that's awesome, I do mean genuinely a modernized Average Joe tho too, I think it'd be fun to intentionally make a character who like. Lives in a generic suburban trying to survive their vampire neighbors ajsjsjdj
Johnny Johnson, absolutely buddy of a dude whose only goal is to befriend every vampire in the neighbourhood (and I am suggesting that you add extra vampires here to make that harder, just some despicable, bottom of the barrel people vampires). After that’s achieved and he’s best buddies with everyone, step 2 is to cure everyone.
I wish the festivals in city living could be fixed for the seasons, i hate when you go to get the plants and they're all out of season and the computers all get broken at the geekcon if it rains. If it had more collectables, fishing spots, art spaces, anything interactive then the space that you can explore in san sequoia would be more of a plus. It feels like SUCH a lot of space that is useless and it takes so long to get to anything interactive
I forgot about the outdoor computers at geekcon 😂Literally just adding in a sort of canopy covering would completely fix the issue, wouldn't it? or putting them into an open pavilion, which can be used for other things when there is no geekcon, so the roof can be hidden easily... Having the computers be under cover just makes logical sense, regardless of weather conditions, so I'm really not sure why they never added something in lol
Hi! This is really random and I’m almost certain you won’t see this, but thank you so much for you or a team member for making the subtitles manually with good grammar and correct spelling. You rarely see it nowadays. It’s a stupid reason why I use it, but I’m autistic and sometimes I can only watch videos with subtitles on, unless it’s a voice with a clear clarity of diction or a voice I’ve listened to a lot (e.g. Stephen Fry or Mark Deakins for my audiobooks). You’re voice is already really clear, but I’ve just noticed the subtitles and I’m sure to watch more of your videos because of this :)
Her friend Hope makes the subtitles and her husband Dan edits the videos. I loved this comment so much and made me feel warmth around my heart ❤️ It’s always nice to read about such a positive experience with a person you like. And your reasoning isn’t stupid at all. I’m not autistic and I still put on Subtitles or I even use the newish transcript feature just because it’s there. I get what you mean. Simsie’s voice is so calming and relaxing and comforting to me as well
Auditory processing difficulties is a perfectly good reason to use captions when they’re available; it’s not just the Deaf and the Hard of Hearing who benefit from good captions, because you and I are examples of people who use them to give our brains an easier job 😊
i work at a disability center and am in charge of captioning media. it's really disheartening to see bad captions because i know that's it's really not that hard. especially with high budget movies/shows, it's just not accessible
I have auditory processing issues that came with my autism and I use subtitles all the time and it's so difficult to use the auto-generated ones so I also really apparently Simsie's effort in making her videos accessible
@@kathrinehmunk Yeah, me too. The auto-generated ones are often worse than useless to me, in that they tend to contain errors that just make my brain _more_ uncertain about what was actually said instead of confirming or correcting it.
Magnolia Promenade has a really annoying distant spawn point (Sims appear and vanish near the river) so I never want to live there. What I usually do is get rid of the default retail lots and replace them with more useful lots like a cafe, a restaurant, better retail lots, and/or a spa. I also made a much smaller modern two-story vet (upstairs has a small apartment for the vet Sim who owns it) on one of the 20x20 lots but you could have a one-story modern vet on the 20x30 or add a dog training yard to a vet on that big 40x30 lot but I think the 40x30 works best for an all-indoor Spa (since it rains a lot in that area lol.) Basically I'm voting for making Magnolia Promenade *usable* but not livable. It's great for adding in Chez Llama if you want to try the experimental dishes and you could probably add a bowling alley or a pool if you wanted to! I think it's best for building community lots.
@@DoveJS omg i'm SO in for that refresh, if not livable atleast make this world more usable, make it visible for certain places you normally can only visit when you work there so you can also visit that place if you're NOT at work i love your ideas based on Magnolia Promenade, the pack "get to work" makes sense too, EA should see this comment
@leontineketting97 agreed on visiting the hidden career lots for all EA should definitely do that, but the devs can't add stuff from other packs into that world officially in a refresh since they can't guarantee what packs you have beyond the base game, unfortunately. Simmers don't need to worry about that, so I would love it if more of them could build lots for us to replace the defaults in MP! Like how James Turner built some other very distinct Rec Centers for that new world, using stuff from other packs! (Edit: though these were on other lots, not replacing the original rec center.) Lol, it's annoying to do it manually, though. I will say, if Maxis made at least one retail lot that sold the career unlockables and some of the items added to BG in updates, that'd be cool. We don't need 3(?) Clothing stores. Tbh I almost never visit those lots, so I can't even be sure what they sell. I suppose in the end it doesn't matter much because you can bulldoze them for your own builds, but it is disappointing.
I absolutely love everything about Island Living, the gameplay, the world, cas even. It’s weird saying that because irl I would choose somewhere like Brindleton Bay to live over a beach lol
sulani and the island living pack is absolutely the mvp for me, between the addition of mermaids and the beauty of the island and the sheer amount of different things make it solid s tier for me
windenburg, brindleton bay, and mt. komorebi are still my all-time favourite worlds, i love the european, new england, and japanese vibes. mt. komorebi is so beautiful and i love windenburg’s european and culture. mt. komorebi has such rich culture and world building, it’s stunning and unique. i love new england and brindleton bay is so beautiful and i love the coastal beach vibe
Just an fyi, you CAN live in a vacation world as long as it's a haunted house and you make sure the family has enough simoleons at the start to move in. Place the family in another house at first and use cheats to give them $1 Million simoleons, then save the family again. Now you can move them in.
Out of all towns, Del Sol Valley had the biggest potential. They could've added at least 5 areas which are already existing ones but way better + apartment areas and beach area with a pier that already exists in LA and houses to live in. It definitely would've been my fav city.
I tend to rank worlds based on how much stuff there is to do in them, so worlds like Mt. Komorebi, Henford-on-Bagley, San Myshuno, and Sulani that have festivals and events and lore and hiking trails and dive spots and all those things are my top tier. For that reason, I would have ranked Moonwood Mill way higher--and Newcrest all the way down in useless. But it's interesting to see how other people's criteria are different than mine.
I actually really like forgotten hollow! It fits its purpose perfectly, especially when you use the empty lot to make a library/bar hybrid to add something to do. I call mine 'Thirsty for Knowledge' and build it as an old archive on the surface levels with a more modern neon bar in the basement.
i love the culture of mt. komrebi and how gorgeous it is, but willow creek is such a good starter world for my sims. batuu is definitely the worst but honestly when my sims get taken to the bar in strangerville it makes me so angry😂
i really hope simsie understands how happy she makes her fans. i have had a mentally and emotionally exhausting day. im clinically depressed and have anxiety. everyday im surrounded with my thoughts and people who make me feel like i dont deserve much. but when simsie uploads it all just goes away. her uploads feel like one of the only happy things i can look towards and im so happy when she does. i love kayak so much and she makes me so happy
My favourite world will always be Oasis Springs, I would never live in the desert IRL, but for some reason I love it in the Sims! The canyons are just so beautiful.
Actually Eco Lifestyle was the first pack they contracted a simmer for! I don't remember who, but a simmer made the Greenbergs' lot, that awesome crane build.
My biggest issue with the university world is a gameplay issue: you can’t live on campus and get good grades. I missed half my classes and was late to the rest because my sim spent so much time just running/biking across campus! It’s much easier to live off campus, so the sim just disappears off the lot.
I love living in Oasis Springs, and tend to live in Newcrest a lot so i can use my own builds (for some reason i hate bulldozing existing builds or evicting sims even if i hate the house or the sims lol)
I do enjoy turning Newcrest into a liveable neighborhood. I have been playing there recently - a teen & her little sister - and have had fun adding things for them to do there.
Something the Sims could do which would be really cool, is to release a world builder expansion pack where it comes with 1 empty world that players can customize and layout. Players could add environment, buildings, apartments, community lots, etc. Essentially a pack where players could build a world from scratch with tools given to them in the pack.
Love your list! They should hire it out refreshing the lots in the old worlds like they did for the newer pack worlds. They could use it as an opportunity to pick their brains on refresh ideas at the same time.
I think my favorite world really depends on the save file, I think it’s really fun to transition sims from different worlds depending on where they are at in life. My favorite being starting in San Myshuno then starting a family or retiring to Willow Creek. Least favorite is definitely Forgotten Hollow and magnolia promenade
I'm so glad they gave the Jungle Adventure pack for free. I can't afford packs really, I love this world and the game play and the build items are great! It's a lot of fun
I don't like it when content creators rate the Vampires pack lower because yeah, maybe you don't play with occults but it introduced the best gameplay system in the game. Vampire powers and weaknesses mechanic is amazing and I'm sad that the other occults didn't get weaknesses.
i love Sulani and Evergreen Harbor - i'm more of a builder so i love being able to build something other than just the normal houses don't have the pack with Mt. Komorebi, but it looks rly fun too
My personal tier list includes a lot of seemingly random criteria, such as “access to various collectibles” because I have learned the hard way that rags to riches (if you try to play that your sim has to stay in one world/area) is significantly harder in certain worlds where fishing, random plants, random “dig” spots, etc are less common.
I agree with it all, I would just put Sulani at the top tier because it’s so unique, you can do some many new things in world, and you even get a new occult type. I would also put Moonwood Mill at top tier because I personally just love the atmosphere there, the mist, the lore, the secret passages, the townies - I guess I love everything! Thanks for the vid, I think I’ll get the snowy escape world next :)
This video was so helpful to me. I just started playing Sims 4 and decided I wanted another world to choose from, to build on, and I just was not sure which pack to get first because I'm just going to get one pack at a time instead of getting them all at once, and so I did have to pick one to start out with and I just was not sure which one would be the best but I knew that I wanted to base my decision off of the world that it came with. I really appreciate how you went into detail for each world.
My god I feel the exact same way about Magnolia Promenade. The name has so much potential but i absolutely would not miss it at all. I absolutely agree with your top tier ✌🏻
This is a great video! I don't have many packs and I'm looking to purchase more but with so many options, I end up being excited about some feature in all of them. I REALLY appreciate how thorough you were about your reasoning behind your rankings. For example, my 1st thought about the bunker house in Strangerville was, "This is cool. What's the problem?" and ou then proceeded to explain that somebody who isn't used to certain gameplay aspects wouldn't realize that moving an option changes the whole area from useless to playable. 💡 That makes so much sense.
I love Henford so so much it’s such a top tier for me, I love how it’s based on the English countryside it’s so pretty they really did it justice, and I also really enjoy the gameplay, lore and cas.
24:48 "I understand they have to put some fake places" As an ancient sims 3 player, it still makes me mad. I have started to play sims 4 because s3 cannot work on my new computer anymore, and in fact, I have found some great things in s4, in gameplay for exemple. But those worlds still make me cry, everything is so fake, we're happy because "oh, we can walk here, wonderful", but we can't even interact with the environment! S4 ambitions were put in social abilities, but it's "inside sociability" and "inside gameplay". I love so much the open world in s3 and I miss it, it is the definition of real life. I know this is the basic opinion of every simmers, and I might be so late with this comment, but this sentence, "I understand they have to put some fake places" souldn't be true. If packs were perfect and not glitchy, why not, there would be a good reason, but here there is no reason of it. It's so sad. (just to make a link with concept of interaction with environment, that's why I love so much San Myshuno. A lot of events happen outside, and just this little detail is cute : the fact that you can take a poster in the street or find objects in boxes. It's so simple but so cool (and sad).
15:16 this is my all time favorite world honestly! sulani is such a great place for big families that have children with age gaps because your kid can build sand castles, your teenager can sail on a boat or go to the beach with their friends, and the parents can go to the bar or lounge at the beach. i think the townie dynamics in island living are really interesting too. personally, this is all the way up there on my ranking with cats & dogs and city living. brindleton bay is a really cute area for raising a family too. i always make the parents animal lovers and have them buy the vet clinic there so they can pass it down to their kids when they’re older. owning a vet clinic is SUCH an interesting concept and the lighthouse is too.
del sol valley is an amazing world, from the view of the world ITSELF, not including the builds. the lots are too big in mirage park so it’s frustrating only build on a portion of a lot or fill up the lot with empty debug buildings. if the lots are replaced, it’s definitely a really good world, except for the fact that it’s small with no apartments/beach front houses.
I got Jungle adventure when it was free in epic, and I was super happy about the new stuff...With this videos I just realize that I got a new world as well hahaha Loving this, thank you Kayla
I constantly live in San Myshuno. I change the purpose of the lots and focus on the ‘idea’ of the neighborhood. This one has lots character and versatility. Think BIG!
When i decide to use in game cas i surprise myself by using san myshuno clothes more than any other pack and tend to always send off my sims siblings or set their friends in that world by default
As someone who just recently got into sims 4 and has been really sad about the amount of expansions and packs there are because it means spending so much money i really appreciate this video. It's making me feel much like stressed because im definitely not going to get all the packs now.
but it’s only on one apartment. so all the others are fine, right? i personally don’t mind it, and Kayla explained why you can’t place anything on the balcony when the pack came out. it’s bc there was an error, so they kept it in as a stylistic choice.
My top tier fav lots must be San Mychuno and Oasis Springs. I love the gameplay with San Mychuno, the details, the apartments, the festivals, everything. Oasis Springs is amazing because that's I think the closest we'll ever get to more modern buildings. Also I play there all the time because of the "spread out" problem you mentioned. In Oasis Springs the lots are close together but then it's still big. And Laandgrabs live there too, so that's another plus 😂
Sulani, where 4 of my families live and where I spent most of my time. My main character married a mermaid so it kinda forced me to live there, then I fell in love with it.
my favorite worlds are cottage living and the city. they are really different compared to the rest who is mostly nabourhood. i also like the japanese world and sulani for the same reason but there is not much to do there besides from skiing and a festival. that´s why those two are my favorites. seasons is the best pack because it affect all the worlds and it came with the calendrer
sob i dont care abt glimmerbrook at all but i truly think the stairs to nowhere are like. an intentional thing to make the house seem absurd and magicaly. nowhere stairs are i think notable for being in the winchester house
the reason magnolia promanade is so small is because they had to make loads of different areas like the place the police station and hospital are future sim labs sixam there are more of a bunch of smaller worlds with get to work
Windenberg is great. Plus it has woohoo bushes in majority of the neighborhoods in the surrounding area. The only other pack with that many woohoo locations is Eco Lifestyle in the dumpsters.
My favorite is definitely brindleton bay! I love the nautical vibes and how its big but not too spread out. My least favorite is batuu, but if you can't pick batuu then it would be granite falls. I really like the idea of a camping world but there is just nothing to do there
Unpopular opinion but I love Magnolia Promenade. It’s incredibly small but I use it as a focus for my sims’ lives depending on the goals for them. Pop star sim? Turn it into a concert hall with a “merch” store. Raging workaholic? It’s a business avenue where they meet all of there coworkers for afternoon coffee and late night drinks. Sim reconnecting to their cultural identity? Have important buildings (temples and otherwise) to recreate that experience
Selvadorada is one of my go-to places. I love building there. (edit: and I think the Star Wars pack would be soooooooooo much better if we could build in the world).
It would be so cool if the sims team went through the old packs and just updated the worlds and added more story’s and lore to all of them. It would be fun to see
I wish they made an expansion about great real cities around the world, like Paris, NY, Tokyo, Cairo, Rio de Janeiro etc. Would be nice to do stuff there, like propose at Eiffel Tower, go to the beach, visit the pyramids and so much more
I really never got the hype for windenburg and i would put it in decent or not great BUT oasis springs, san myshuno and mt komorebi are top tier My ranking very much depends on the style and aesthetic for example i love the desert worlds, warm places like the jungle and im into mediterranean and contemporary build styles but the suburban areas like willow creek and san sequoia aeent my favourite
I agree 100% about windenberg, I think I just don't like the Tudor style so I never have my sims live there. Love oasis springs, newcrest and San myshuno
Omg you’re so right! I always thought that Tartosa (Wedding GP) was so beautiful but something was missing! It’s cuz the lots are spread out and feels vacant.
Oh wow you built the lot in San Sequoia that my sims are living in now! I just got that pack during the recent sale. I did clock the fact that it was better than a lot of what I've seen from EA residential builds. Very nicely done!
You know, I keep thinking that if the occults had one singular BIG world for them it would be better? Like all the creatures wish to isolate themselves from the humans so they all move to this world together but they HATE each other?? The vampires live in one side of the world, the werewolves live in the total opposite side, the ghosts in the middle and the spell casters in an isolated island with access to their own magical world. Like the more I think about it the more I like that idea?? But I don't think EA would ever give something like that to us 😔😔
Personally I would put Henford-on-Bagley and Moonwood Mill in top tier. I get that Moonwood Mill is small, but the lore goes for ages, I’m still learning new things despite playing it to death. (For instance, did you know Greg loves pop music? You can woo him like an 80s romcom with a boombox blasting.)
I am never as happy as i am in sulani🐬☀️, I absolutely adore it! I also really like mt komerabi☃️⛷️ because of all the nature walks and activities. These two are also the ones that stand out the most to me, but I do probably like henford-on-bagley more than mt komerabi to live in🦙🐄
I'm so tired, I read the title as "breaking every world record in the Sims 4" and honestly, I'm sure this video is great, but I really wanted to find out what world records there were for the Sims 4 😂
I wish I could like this video twice! Once for grading these worlds and once for giving me ideas! I literally stepped away from Sims 4 thanks to computer issues so when I came back I felt totally lost and unsure which packs I needed! Thanks for your ideas! 😊
Once they added functional apartments, Del Sol Valley became one of my favorites. I used that 50x40 lot and placed 4 apartments there, so I have 6 households in just that area. Also, it has really good weather with seasons!
I really wish the Sims team would implement an apartment lot type. I hate how lacking in apartments we are, too, and I think it would be so cool to be able to build our own.
I really like Newcrest. When i start a new save i like to put lots like spas, bowling alleys, cafes etc there so they are all in one place. On the whole i agree with how you ranked the worlds. Biggest let down is Del Sol Valley. It could have been so much better
i think it is really fantastic that simsie has been telling us about the toilets and the nowhere stairs for years now and theyre just. still like that. they didnt fix it.
literally like when they were doing their townie makeovers could they not have fixed up some of the houses? 💀
They fixed the camera friendship “glitch” before stairs to nowhere… this keeps me awake at night
I don't understand how can The Sims Team not renovate the worlds, they didn't even re-add the pools to the houses that originally were supposed to have it like the Landgraab mansion. We've had the pool update for over 7 years!
They're basically a meme now though.
@@AlexandriaWhitney_they also “fixed” the console controls to switch around the change sim and time buttons and now it’s all messed up
I was in the boat of “I can just fix the broken lots, what’s the issue??” until Simsie mentioned that kids or new players would have no idea how to fix it or what was wrong.
Damn I never thought of that! 10 year old me would be FRUSTRATED
i was playing sims 4 as a 10 year old and whenever there were glitches i had no idea what was happening
i played on ps4 too so i couldn’t even find a different lot on the gallery because it didn’t exist yet
Then we can get different regimes may be like you can pick your age and gaming status (beginner or a pro) and then open the ability to these who will know what to do with it. Building worlds was the main thing I loved about sims 2 and after they took that away I just can’t bring myself to enjoy newer games at all.
I am definitely one of those players that would just get confused and frustrated
I really wish The Sims team would implement an "apartment" lot type. I hate how lacking in apartments we are, too, and I think it would be so cool to be able to build our own.
omg i never really thought about an apartment lot type. that’s would literally be game changing
It makes sense for the packs theme, and would likely boost sales if anything.
i really like mt komorebi, we need more worlds that aren’t western-inspired or mainly american-inspired tbh
100%
yes!!! i would love to have a latin american world that isnt just the selvadora adventure stuff
Yes! That’s why it’s the first pack I ever bought
And the builds are phenomenal since they were commissioned!
Agreed I’d put sulani and henford in top tier
Which one is the Hanford is it?
@@chef-kisscottage living
Del Sol was the biggest disappointment and I will never get over it
LA itself is a big disappointment imo, so it tracks lol.
@@heg203 this is true
The most I ever interact with Judith (the owner of the toilet-less house) is either having her in my relationship tab due to PR agency adding me to her party, actively hating her with my sim, or that one time I got Fame lvl 1 from purely becoming friends with celebs
buy her a drink, or at least offer and cancel out ordering it, and you'll get her phone number, after that befriend her via phone calls and texts (pretty hard) and when you invite her just hope she'll strike up a conversation first
I love how the fact sims can interact with our celebs if they talk to them first works the other way around with other celebs
THE DRIVEWAYS DONT CONNECT TO THE LOTS! I can't play there because it infuriates me so much. Why would they not just connect them?
del sol valley is an amazing world, from the view of the world ITSELF, not including the builds. the lots are too big in mirage park so it’s frustrating only build on a portion of a lot or fill up the lot with empty debug buildings. if the lots are replaced, it’s definitely a really good world, except for the fact that it’s small with no apartments/beach front houses.
Strangerville, Sulani and Windenburg are my favorite worlds to live in. I also wish they'd add more apartments but better yet, give us the ability to build our own apartment buildings.
nice to see someone else who appreciates strangerville
I love Sulani, moonwood mill, I love henford on Bagley, windenburg is pretty awesome too.
I love strangerville I replay it all the time
I do miss the ability to make apartments like you had in 3.
I love strangerville! That and San Myshuno are my most used worlds
you also have to consider that sulani was made during the flop era. this shows that they had the CAPABILITIES to make a good world, but just didn’t care enough in the other flop era worlds because those were not world based packs (except strangerville); island living was.
something that REALLY annoys me about san sequoia is the fact that almost ALL the lots are 30x20 yet the treehouses take up half of that!!! it feels like a huge oversight on their part
that, that right there
I wish they would make a update to make Selvadorada (and Granite Falls) residencial world... When we see that world like Sulani of Mt Komorebi are actual Worlds, Selvadorada would fit perfectly with them (especially now that we can put rental lots EVERYWHERE)
There is a mod that makes all worlds residential, but it doesnt solve the problem
Yes this makes me so sad too
For me Sulani is my all time favourite, I literally play there all the time cause its just so beautiful, i also love mt. komorebi
same, my legacy challenge family is in Sulani and if someone forced me to choose only one sims 4 pack to buy it would be Island Living. I love mt. komerebi too but I would place Henford on Bagley as my 2nd favorite.
SAME
They are both cool and diverse
they are the only two I have 😭
New crest is annoying at first, when it’s empty.
Granite falls could be a lot better if there were community events like a fishing tournament or a communal campfire or stuff like that to make your sims on vacation get involved in doing something
that would be a lot better and waste less of my money
agreed, this world isn't that bad but it's no good either, it's just rather boring
i hope for a refresh someday with more things to do like climbing, telling stories while on campfire with the others, fishing, gardening, even swimming in water
it for sure needs something that feels so alive and more things to do
Agreed. No matter how I play it (sim there to fulfil aspiration, or family trip, or sending a group of friends), I get so bored! It’s not the worst if you send them there for one day, mayybe two, but after the second day I’m done. Not much to do and it all looks the same!
I really love San Myshuno. Nothing came close anymore. I'd love to see more appartments etc. Hopefully sims 5 will gives us more! :)
Same, I play in it more than any other world. It feels so lively. I don't care for suburban living.
Definitely my favorite world in the game. I always pick to play in that world when starting a new save
san myshono is my fav! city living is an amazing pack overall
Cute idea.
I always put Victorian themed sims and Victorian homes in that neighborhood so it is possible, it’s just she always uses modern day themed sims
@@YouKnowImOnMyPeriodYah that's awesome, I do mean genuinely a modernized Average Joe tho too, I think it'd be fun to intentionally make a character who like. Lives in a generic suburban trying to survive their vampire neighbors ajsjsjdj
Yes omg, a bubbly golden retriever human
Johnny Johnson, absolutely buddy of a dude whose only goal is to befriend every vampire in the neighbourhood (and I am suggesting that you add extra vampires here to make that harder, just some despicable, bottom of the barrel people vampires). After that’s achieved and he’s best buddies with everyone, step 2 is to cure everyone.
Sulani is one of my favorite worlds but I still can’t get over the disappointment that we didn’t get house boats back in the sims 4
@@kathrinehmunk
Yeah, me too. The auto-generated ones are often worse than useless to me, in that they tend to contain errors that just make my brain _more_ uncertain about what was actually said instead of confirming or correcting it.
I really wish they would update apartments to make the windows and doors changeable like why can't they do that 😭😭
Video series request: make Magnolia Promenade usable and livable!
@@DoveJS omg i'm SO in for that refresh, if not livable atleast make this world more usable, make it visible for certain places you normally can only visit when you work there so you can also visit that place if you're NOT at work
i love your ideas based on Magnolia Promenade, the pack "get to work" makes sense too, EA should see this comment
Same!
Same for me!
Irl i'd choose Windenburg or Brindleton Bay over a beach but in the sims 4 world i want to live in Sulani lol
I am so happy to see other Island Living enjoyers lol. When the pack first came out people didn't like it much but I love mermaids
sulani and the island living pack is absolutely the mvp for me, between the addition of mermaids and the beauty of the island and the sheer amount of different things make it solid s tier for me
windenburg, brindleton bay, and mt. komorebi are still my all-time favourite worlds, i love the european, new england, and japanese vibes. mt. komorebi is so beautiful and i love windenburg’s european and culture. mt. komorebi has such rich culture and world building, it’s stunning and unique. i love new england and brindleton bay is so beautiful and i love the coastal beach vibe
Just an fyi, you CAN live in a vacation world as long as it's a haunted house and you make sure the family has enough simoleons at the start to move in. Place the family in another house at first and use cheats to give them $1 Million simoleons, then save the family again. Now you can move them in.
:o
I didn’t know the shipwreck in Sulani has a build under it! I thought it was just a shipwreck, but you can live there!! So fun!!
I made a nightclub under the shipwreck, it’s one of my favorite lots to visit!
@@itshaileyjoThat's such a great idea, I love it! Is it on the gallery?

Personally, I love Copperdale's lighting bc it reminds me of Forks from Twilight lol
Exactly!! I feel like that was maybe on purpose too. Sims team wanted us to live our Twilight dreams lmao
Bro right I was literally thinking how copperdale gives big twilight vibes when she was talking about it
Out of all towns, Del Sol Valley had the biggest potential.
Sulani will always be the best world! 🌈
agreed! I cried out of happiness when it came out
same for me😍😍
I also think I love Sulani, I've never been able to like the other worlds like this one, I try but I always come back to Sulani. ♥
i love the culture of mt. komrebi and how gorgeous it is, but willow creek is such a good starter world for my sims. batuu is definitely the worst but honestly when my sims get taken to the bar in strangerville it makes me so angry😂
i really hope simsie understands how happy she makes her fans. i have had a mentally and emotionally exhausting day. im clinically depressed and have anxiety. everyday im surrounded with my thoughts and people who make me feel like i dont deserve much. but when simsie uploads it all just goes away. her uploads feel like one of the only happy things i can look towards and im so happy when she does. i love kayak so much and she makes me so happy

My favourite world will always be Oasis Springs, I would never live in the desert IRL, but for some reason I love it in the Sims! The canyons are just so beautiful.
Actually Eco Lifestyle was the first pack they contracted a simmer for! I don't remember who, but a simmer made the Greenbergs' lot, that awesome crane build.
it's not actually a day in the week until Kayla posts a video, trust
My biggest issue with the university world is a gameplay issue: you can’t live on campus and get good grades. I missed half my classes and was late to the rest because my sim spent so much time just running/biking across campus! It’s much easier to live off campus, so the sim just disappears off the lot.
I always find myself putting my sims in oasis springs. I just love it
Same, and Newcrest. The two worlds my sims live in like 90% of the time.
I love the cicadas during the summer nights ❤ I avoided playing there at first, but now it's one of my favourite worlds.
I love living in Oasis Springs, and tend to live in Newcrest a lot so i can use my own builds (for some reason i hate bulldozing existing builds or evicting sims even if i hate the house or the sims lol)
I do enjoy turning Newcrest into a liveable neighborhood. I have been playing there recently - a teen & her little sister - and have had fun adding things for them to do there.
omg me too! My main house is in Oasis Spring while I built many vacation houses in New Crest so that I can play there
Now I miss Sims 3 World Adventures. We need more diverse worlds!
I must’ve missed this! When was it free ?
It was free??! 😦
@@whoisZubaydah a couple weeks ago Epic Games had a free bundle of Jungle Adventure, a kit, and a stuff pack that I think was Luxury Party
I’m really glad you were able to take advantage of the free special!
One of my favorite build and buy along it’s the foods it brought. I love playing Latino characters going back to Selvadorada to discover their roots.
The celebrity bathrooms intentionally don't have a toilet because "Celebrities don't poop" according to an online meme LMAO
The early darkness in Forgotten Hollow is just a giant plus for me and I love vampires 🧛♂️
I don't like it when content creators rate the Vampires pack lower because yeah, maybe you don't play with occults but it introduced the best gameplay system in the game. Vampire powers and weaknesses mechanic is amazing and I'm sad that the other occults didn't get weaknesses.
i love Sulani and Evergreen Harbor - i'm more of a builder so i love being able to build something other than just the normal houses
don't have the pack with Mt.
24:48 "I understand they have to put some fake places"
As an ancient sims 3 player, it still makes me mad.
U comment is very long but it was good seeing ur peace of mind 👍
ANOTHER petition for biggest build possible (biggest lot filled up, 8 stories for 8 sims) it would take a while but it could be a series!! ❤❤
I get so excited when I get a new video notification ❤ gives me something to listen to while I work.
5:04 looks like you got your wish in some way!

It's making me feel much like stressed because im definitely not going to get all the packs now.
i honestly dislike the apartments in eco lifestyle bc you can’t use the balconies,,, it’s not part of the lot for some reason
but it’s only on one apartment. so all the others are fine, right? i personally don’t mind it, and Kayla explained why you can’t place anything on the balcony when the pack came out. it’s bc there was an error, so they kept it in as a stylistic choice.
Kayla going all in on their "flop era" makes me laugh so hard because it's true. It's so freaking true.
Sulani, where 4 of my families live and where I spent most of my time. My main character married a mermaid so it kinda forced me to live there, then I fell in love with it.
my favorite worlds are cottage living and the city. they are really different compared to the rest who is mostly nabourhood. i also like the japanese world and sulani for the same reason but there is not much to do there besides from skiing and a festival. that´s why those two are my favorites. seasons is the best pack because it affect all the worlds and it came with the calendrer
sob i dont care abt glimmerbrook at all but i truly think the stairs to nowhere are like. an intentional thing to make the house seem absurd and magicaly. nowhere stairs are i think notable for being in the winchester house
after watching one of Satch's videos about the death of the Sims 4, I'm honestly hoping we'll get some more versatile worlds in the Sims 5.
You mean satch right?
the reason magnolia promanade is so small is because they had to make loads of different areas like the place the police station and hospital are future sim labs sixam there are more of a bunch of smaller worlds with get to work
Windenberg is great.
I really like the idea of a camping world but there is just nothing to do there
My favourites are Oasis Spring and San Myshuno, although I would not mind a refresh 😄
Getting creative with it🤣 That's how you enjoy it
Selvadorada is one of my go-to places. I love building there.
(edit: and I think the Star Wars pack would be soooooooooo much better if we could build in the world).
The forgotten in forgotten hollow really speaks for itself
It would be so cool if the sims team went through the old packs and just updated the worlds and added more story’s and lore to all of them. It would be fun to see
I wish they made an expansion about great real cities around the world, like Paris, NY, Tokyo, Cairo, Rio de Janeiro etc. Would be nice to do stuff there, like propose at Eiffel Tower, go to the beach, visit the pyramids and so much more
I really never got the hype for windenburg and i would put it in decent or not great
BUT oasis springs, san myshuno and mt komorebi are top tier
My ranking very much depends on the style and aesthetic for example i love the desert worlds, warm places like the jungle and im into mediterranean and contemporary build styles but the suburban areas like willow creek and san sequoia aeent my favourite
I don't like it because it's somehow meant to be Italian, but Tartosa sounds not at all Italian.
They should have rebuilt "The Mansion" from Sims 1 for Judith ward 😂
the non townie starter home you built is actually my favorite and most used lot in mt komorebi
You should do a pack recommendation video based on the townies that come with the worlds 😇
I LITERALLY was like "I wonder if Kayla made a video on this and I missed it". Three days later and you posted this!
Oh wow you built the lot in San Sequoia that my sims are living in now! I just got that pack during the recent sale. I did clock the fact that it was better than a lot of what I've seen from EA residential builds. Very nicely done!
YESS! I LOVE RANKING VIDEOS
Me tooo :D
You know, I keep thinking that if the occults had one singular BIG world for them it would be better? Like all the creatures wish to isolate themselves from the humans so they all move to this world together but they HATE each other?? The vampires live in one side of the world, the werewolves live in the total opposite side, the ghosts in the middle and the spell casters in an isolated island with access to their own magical world. Like the more I think about it the more I like that idea?? But I don't think EA would ever give something like that to us 😔😔
Mt komorebi will always be one of my fav worlds the neighbourhoods are so diverse, cozy and beautiful!
my fav world is sulani, i literally make most of my sims live there, like there is so much to do. island living top tier pack
I don't have much of the worlds but I like seeing these so I can get an idea of the different packs
My favorite is Mt. Komorebi and San Myshuno. Absolutely love them
I really like Newcrest. When i start a new save i like to put lots like spas, bowling alleys, cafes etc there so they are all in one place. On the whole i agree with how you ranked the worlds. Biggest let down is Del Sol Valley. It could have been so much better
